Every Sooner fan I've ever talked to considers NU/OU more of a rivalry than OU/UT because of the respect (or lack there of from Texas) for each others' programs.
What a change this year from 2008! Both defenses were amazing and it was a pretty good game. As far as fans go, as a nebraska fan living in Kansas, KU fans can't handle success in football with grace, KSU fans are horrible too, and Mizzou fans aren't anything to be desired, I remember when MU beat NU in Columbia and the fans fan up on NU players and a fan got decked in the face, because he was drunk, and running at an opposing player, i would have done the same thing...
I was at the OU vs Nebraska game in 2000 when we won the national title, and I have to say that Nebraska fans are the classiest I have ever met. I even partied with a group of them afterwards. They have a reputation for having good sportsmanship, and I gotta hand it to them. They have a good football tradition in Lincoln, and much more class than jackass fans from Texas Tech, A&M, or UT. Go Sooners !

the gator bowl is not an important bowl game? any january 1st bowl game that pays over $1 million is an important bowl game. at least we won our bowl game. granted, we didnt have to play near as good a team, but as i recall, you dont even recognize the team you lost to....

Nebraska is only the 2nd of Oklahoma's NINE opponents to be flagged for holding. And OU plays by different rules?- yeah the ones nobody else gets nailed for.
Six games into the season the teams Oklahoma had played only had one holding penalty called against them. Either the teams they play never hold or you have no room to talk.
