I eat it without cook sometimes. I know some of you have done that. Trust me try eating it WITHOUT cooking it. Add the package and eat it raw if you want to. Its Crispy and Crunchy =D.
@AznKevinJai Some kids and I used to eat it that way, too, when I lived in Seoul. But we had to stop because we later discovered it was terrible for your digestive system.
This is my favorite brand of ramen, Mmmm! I always add vegetables to mine too. Usually Green/red peppers, mushrooms, celery, carrot, heck just about anything Makes it feel more like a meal. There's lots of ways to get creative with it. Have some leftover fried chicken, turkey, or some other meat? strip some pieces off and add them at the last minute. Just because it's instant ramen doesn't mean it has to be boring ^__^
It's gotten pretty obvious that stupid0388 is just a troll to rile people up by making racist comments on Asian videos, which makes it even funnier that cutepenguinz took the bait and went on a nationalistic rant. gg, cutepenguinz. keep doing your people proud.

Eat some steak. Be a real MAN! Koreans eat noodles that's why they have a small penis. Do you want your penis to be tiny like lil noodles??? Or you want it big and meaty like the AMERICAN WAY??? Eat steak... Go Texas!!! Thumbs up...
@cutepenguinz That's why you came to AMERICA? We give you green cards and citizenship.... HMMMNNN!!! Isn't all asian women likes big black AMERICAN C0CK????
@DrProfSlugger you only have to eat steak... don't mix it with noodles. Noodles have rice. Asian people especially Koreans got small dicks. you don't want small cock. you want it meaty. Like they say " YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT".
@stupid0388 HAHAHAHAHAH. again an excellent display of a typical stupid American. 1. I don't live in America. I live in New Zealand. 2. Also I've had the displeasure of living in America for a year, I'm thankful for the time I had there because it's made me love and appreciate my country even more. I'm glad I'm not you. Filthy scum.
@theperfectexceeder Who said I thought they cared. I was simply stating to the man who immediately guessed I was an american that I wasn't. Again another typical american thinking everyone's actions are revolved around what they think. Go on 9gag. American's are really the joke population.
I was born in Incheon but raised in Toronto, so typical American doesn't apply. As someone who has also had the experience of living in a different country, I can tell you that having only negative things to say about your visit says more about you than it does about them. 312 million people, most of which probably have no animosity towards you or New Zealand at all, so don't live with those feelings.
@stupid0388 HAHAH, you don't even know me yet you're insisting who I am? For your information, I was bron in New Zealand, my father is a New Zealander and my mother is asian.
@cutepenguinz your mom is Korean im guessing. you shipal sekya. I been all over asian countries. You still asian. you have a SMALL PENIS! That's why your username is cutepenguin but it really means TINY PENIS....
I've found the best spice proportions come with a marinade, same idea as with good kimchi. Simmer in the crockpot, without even boiling it goes all the way through the Ramen.
My favourite Korean ramen though I can never cook the noodle properly as it always ends up a bit soggy. Love the spicyness of this ramen but not so much the noodles themselves.
@KonvoyChief Here's a tip, cook it like you would pasta. Boil it in just water about 2 minutes and immediately rinse it in cold water, then add it to the soup. Just like al dente pasta it'll be chewy until the last bite. Good luck.
Instant noodles were first created by Momofuku Ando, who was born in southwestern Taiwan when the island was under Japanese colonial rule, in Japan on August 25, 1958, under the brand name Chikin Ramen
I love a lot of Nong Shim noodles, their Kimchi bowls are AWESOME... this package you have I do not like however. There is no actual taste or flavor, just heat... and a LOT of heat... So I make them with a store bought organic chicken or sea food stock and it really gives the soup a purpose and flavor... toss in some enoki mushrooms, cabbage of your choice and almost enjoyable ha ha..
The important thing is that after putting the vegetables(I wouldn't omit the scallion), don't over cook the noodle; to keep tenderness of the noodle, cook no more than one minute. You can also add egg and shredded Gim, dried laver, Sushi Nori in japanese.
Dear Kevin. You should pour the condiments into a bowl not in the same pot, reason for that is to keep the noodles fresh and instant they add chemicals to the noodles that get washed off during the boiling and is very unhealthy you should cook the noodles after they're done you should put them in a strainer bowl, then boil enough hot water, or get it from a dispenser, put the noodles in then pour the hot water in, put your extra condiments inside, and it will taste a lot better. -Chris
I would recomend you to cook it for 3minutes. 5minutes is just too long! The noodles will go "퍼저" erm literally meaning "blown up.' PS.You should try adding eggs. :)
@Communitychoud I've never came across with ramyon packets missing after all the years of eating it. You can save the noodle in a vinyl bag and add portions of it for later time when you are eating romyon. If you have another one missing the packet, consider yourself dammn lucky..go out and buy a lottery.
@Communitychoud Watch the video again and follow the instruction. You've got the same kind one? The one shown in the video is a very spicy kind. There is also instruction on the back of the package. The reason I mention this is that in rareity there are raymyon that you need to drain the water out after boiling, before you add the mixture packets. For normal kind, like the one shown here, you add both packets once the water you added starts boiling.
@Communitychoud You can added chopped scallions and arn egg when the water start boiling defintely. You can add Italitan zucchini, but make sure that you cut 2mm thinckness so that it would not take longer time to cook than the noodle itself. You can add "gim," sushi nori, shredded also. Make sure you add scallions, it will enhence the taste very much giving greshness to it. Also, make sure you don't overcook the noode..you want to have it little undercooked when you start eating.
@Communitychoud If you like sausage, you can cut into think slices and add them as well. Don't ever add pork, it will ruin it. But marianated beef in soysouce will go well if you wantt to be creative. Also, you can find "dduck" for making Dduckguk, a soup based food that people eat in New Year's day, in Korean grocerey store and you can them--it comes in sliced in packages.
@Communitychoud Sorry I misunderstood you and rambled on. Just for the basic, you add the two little packets in the pakage when water starts boiling..that's all there is to it, but if you can add chopped scallions and eggs for your liking and source of protein and cook them along with the noodle in the pot.
ive seen this video like 2 or 3 times over the passed few months and every time i see it i instantly want noodles and then google for places near me selling cool asian foods.
if anyone knows of some good places in Dublin let me know :)
My partner has that all the time (she's chinese). I'm not a fan of spicy food so I can't really put a vote on how good this tastes...cuz i'm to pansy :P
the Shin Ramen which is made in Shanghai, China has been found to contain small amounts of DEHP (plasticizer, illegal food additive) over the limit of 1.5 ppm
Don't buy the Shin Ramen made in China or Hong Kong...just a little warning
I'm going to have to say that it's not acceptable to slurp noodles in Korea. While there are people that do slurp their noodles, it's considered annoying and demonstrates a general lack of table manners. Anyway, good video. Makes me hungry.
I think one of the most alarming ways of preparing instant noodles I ever saw was that of a pharmacist I used to work with. Most days he would grab a Cup o' Noodles and dump a can of Vienna sausages in it and heat that sucker up in the pharmacy microwave. I never tried it but the smell was like that of a rotting salt flat baking in the sun.
Your noodles, on the other hand, look pretty tasty!
@supatoker420 No, both reg ramen and instant ramen were invented by Chinese people (instant ramen by a Taiwanese guy, to be exact, but it was invented IN Japan, not by a Japanese.)
@pepsipop410 oh yea, the guy that became a JAPANESE citizen, sure, hes taiwanese by birth, but without japan, and japanese resources, this guy wouldn't have gone far with his invention. lol

I do this almost every day!..My latest favorite? One that has diff. flavors of a "chow mein" ramen. The directions actually say to take the water *out* after cooking vs. making it as a soup. But I've been doing that for years with all kinds...I also buy the brand you showed @ the local Japanese grocer's. I like the "Seafood" one best. Water out of that one, too!
You said, "To be honest I'm not even going to call this cooking!" ...hahaha! :oD
wow, now i really want some Ramen-dang. I really like shin ramen with green onions and egg, and even though it's spicy i still like to add korean hot pepper paste-mmmmm.....
I found these in a local chinese supermarket in the UK about a year ago. (They have Japanese and Korean imports too) Now I can barely go a week without the stuff!
Yeah well I hate the nongshim instant noodle brand. But lol what 5 minutes?! I thought about every instant noodle were 3 minutes to cook XD Aww how cute you cooked your ramen with a spatula a true feature of one of our countrymen lol.
Yeah, I can't believe it!! I had bought exactly those ramen yesterday!!! Can't believe we have them here, too!! Awesome!!! Instant ramen...simple, but yummy!! :D
I LOVE that Korean Ramen. I prepare mine with frozen veggies (I throw them in the water with the noodles and I add an egg when I put in the seasonnings :)
your way of cooking korean ramen is so much healthier than mine.lol..i make mine with 2 slices of cheese and chinese store bought chilli paste(or if i'm free, i make my own)..i cook the noodles really well too..so yummy..makes me wanna go buy a ramen right now!
I adore Shin ramen. but one time I was trying to slurp and one of the noodles lashed into my eye.
Yeah you get the picture. Hot korean sauce in eye=crying
So glad I was home alone that time. Now I always put on my glasses before enjoying my hot cup of ramen.

I found these in a local chinese supermarket in the UK about a year ago. (They have Japanese and Korean imports too) Now I can barely go a week without the stuff!

Proofs of being a pro in cooking instant noodles :
1. You dont use spatulas instead you use forks :P
2. You dont measure the amount of water instead you just put whatever amount
3. You add EGG :D
