Most handsets do tend to go slower unless they are the top end smartphones. You will notice some lag but as long as you keep on top of your memory it will be fine.

@aamirusman12xD We were not sure on this ourselves, a quick scout revealed a lot of people saying that you have to do a long press on the mp3/file you want to select and it will pop up with the option to set it as a ringtone. Let us know how you get on :)

Hey, i just got this phone about 4 days ago. I was pretty happy with it for the price I paid, until it started just shutting off on it's own when i wasn't using it. and I can't turn it back on.. i have to remove the battery and put it back in every time. Which is pretty frustrating, i just got the phone. I haven't dropped it or anything, is there any solution to this or should i bring the phone back to the store?

Hi. If you have just bought the phone it will have a warranty. You can take it back to store and they will offer you a replacement for any manufacturer fault.

@xXShuShu0123Xx Hmm, it should work automatically as it's all based on an accelerometer function. Perhaps you have changed an accelerometer or keyboard setting? Either that or it could be a fault?

My phone is just fine, but I can't enter networks that are locked when I fill in the password. It just doesn't work. It doesn't even try to enter. When I try unlocked networks, it isn't even difficult to make a connection. So irritating! Anybody know how to solve that problem?

Since buying this phone in December 2010 I have had multipul problems with it and switched provider twise, I paid £120 from tesco and £10 for the sim card, within the first 2 days I had used over £30 credit browsing the internet on it as there was no way to switch the internet off, I also recive the same text message from people about 100 times a day even weeks after the original message was sent sometimes at 4am and the other problems I have is it crashes alot when on games and I don't get MMS.

@pbrew85 Sorry to hear about the issue you are having with your Europa. To solve the internet issue you can download an app called APN On/Off from the Android Marketplace, its free and will let you switch off things such as 3G/packet data. As for your issue with multiple texts being sent at random times, that sounds like a handset fault so we would reccomend taking it back to where it was purchased, looking at a repair or replacement.

@taaaylorxx Yes, you can; what's neat about this phone is that there is more than one way to have your keypad. "QWERTY" is the keyboard form seen in this video (if you tilt your phone, you get a bigger QWERTY keyboard). There is also a "3 x 4" keypad which is your standard mobile phone keypad (numbers 1 - 9, and letters allocated in alphabetical order to the numbers). The final form for input is "handwriting" - you can draw the characters onto your screen, and your phone will recognize it.

@MrMontageMitch This is quite a specific problem and could be a number of issues. Initially I thought it might be that your phone speaker was damaged but then you wouldn't be able to play music either, which you can. If the phone is still within its warranty I would recommend taking it back in for repair/replacement.

Try the message settings to switch it on. If not you will need to contact your provider and ask for a replacement if it is not working. Usually they can replace phones with a manufacturer's fault.

@Anjna25 I haven't personally encountered this issue at all, but an apparently common issue with the phone is that it occasionally freezes. The freeze isn't a huge problem though, just simply turn it off and back on.

@Fr33runner1 You need to check with the network that you are on - how much they charge for internet usage, whether they provide a certain amount of free data as part of your top up and so on. The amount of credit that you use up will be down the amount of data you have used whilst browsing. Checking an email, or doing a quick search on Google for example will use far less data than streaming a video on YouTube, or downloading a game.

@Fr33runner1 Credit will go quickly if you're streaming data or using the internet a lot. Here's an example: if you get a phone with a GPS function, or something like Google Latitude, be sure to turn it off when you're not using it. You save battery AND credit best this way (otherwise your location is constantly being updated).

That new version of the phone is £100 while the refurbished version is cheaper at around 50-60. The refurbished phones are ones that have been returned within a couple of weeks. They are like brand new.

Hey I have a question that I'm in desperate need of answering conerning the music feature on the Samsung Europa-

I was on the bus to College this morning listening to "Take That - The Flood" on the phone itself with earphones in , sound about 15% and the phone status itself on silent

Why on EARTH did it then make a insanely loud beeping sound like I'd broken or hacked it for about 5 seconds until I locked the phone and had to turn the volume down again? PLEASE reply back ASAP thankyou!

@RegenerationStorm Wow, thats a strange one! :S I would reccomend posting that on the Samsung forums for that one, ive certainly never heard of it. Sometimes a processor issue with a phone/laptop/PC can create a bleep like the one you suggested and thats normally not good news. But smartphone from time to time can be pretty unpredictable so it could actually be nothing at all. Give the Samsung forums a go Storm. :)

1. Battery is bad, i dont use it alot and I charge it everyday, maybe twice..

2. Screen is plastic, not glass, and is not extremely responsive, but is manageable.

3. i have a lot of memory left and have very few apps but when playing a game it can be very laggy and unresponsive..

4. good price for an android, handy for internet on the go and texting is good
