we underrate/overlook the arrangement/orchestration of Versaille. there's a lot going on. really grand. epic. the strings and piano keep getting overlooked but they're as much a part of the sound as everything else.

Japan and Italy tie for everything. most of the best guitarists around are either Italian or Italian-American. food's a tie too. i'm refusing to live w/o pizza and pasta. but wouldn't be much of a life w/o tempura and udon so a tie. maybe Japan edges out Italy for pretty boys but then Italy comes back with the most amazing desserts...just a tie.

My belief is that Versailles wants to be loved for either their music, stage shows, videos, or overall style. I love them all to death b/c the music is incredible, videos are stunning, and the Victorian clothing is something to behold. And so far, they haven't had a bad video that I have seen. They put on a show you won't easily forget!

When I think of Versailles I think of the oppressive rulers who lived there (I think...my history's a bit rusty so maybe I'm wrong about that). Or maybe something Gaulish (although that'd be pretty folk metal, and they're far from folk metal :D)

I think Versailles choose the name after the luxurious life in Versailles.

(For more info, bastille was an horrible prison were there was only 7 prisonners, a mad man and olds guards of the French army. Not so glorious...)

Hizaki sure looks like a woman, and I personally thought he was, some of the member do have a women's look, but they're not, not offending by the way, but apart from it, I like their music, and their style is very different, but artistic in a way, and I like it, you can "Thumb down" me, but this is the opinion I have regarding to them... and it is to no one specifically...

acutally, the live you get on the Monsho DVD is pretty much HIZAKI grace project last live, the only reason why he doesent announced disbanding is because there is no one to disband, due to the fact that at the exception of himself, everyone in the band were session members.

and he keeps making re-issues of his albums, for example, in the next months there should be a release of Dance with grace and Maiden Ritual albums again.

It's possible, but I doubt it. The chances of them knowing about Anne Rice or Lestat are who knows. Most Japanese Visual Kei bands like Versailles base off of the original Dracuala tale and just morph it to their liking like Malice Mizer did for "Bara no Konrei". (Only two books in the whole world have NEVER been out of print: The Holy Bible and Bram Stoker's Dracula.) It's more likely they based off of Dracula.

Later Claudia leaves Lestat for dead and runs off with Louis. In the end, Claudia is killed for the crime being exposed to sunlight by the actors from the Theatre des vampires :D
