Ares 1-X Launch Platform Moves to VAB

why do they spray water in fornt of the launch platform?

I wonder why do they move the mobile launcher platform there without any part of the rocket? Should it suppose to hold the entire rocket eventually? Or the rocket will be assembled on it?

If you take a closer look, you see that on the launcher platform there is the equipment for the Space Shuttle and not for Ares 1.

So the platform come back after the Shuttle launch (without the shuttle, that is on Orbit).

Back in the VAB the Shuttle equipment will be put to the junk yard and the Ares equipment will be mounted.
