yes i noticed that your swingers are hung to the max as to lay a slack line, as obviously a drop back take would not register. i am a great fan of the running lead and it is great to see you use it my friend. do you clip your line to the rod?? wish you would do a vid on the underrated running lead and it good points, as i am not a fan of a dumped lead and the like. for someone who has fished for years i feel these clowns at korda are giving out the wrong message, not you my man, thanks : )

u should try korda kurv shank hooks no need for rig rings or silicone or anyhting

@sambeale94 why? you would not get the movement or separation with out them and also you have to think about the point of contact when the carp sucks in the bait? the ring gives you movement enough to ensure the rig works right....

@TheCarpCatcher yeah but if you watch the korda dvds or had the hooks you would see that it will turn and dig into your hand realy fast and i have tryed rig rings , extra they work as good but it cheaper and more effective to just ude that patern of hook

the ring allows the bait MOVEMENT that is the point you do not get the same movement with a fixed bait or fixed hair simple as that and all this about "will turn and dig into your hand realy fast "...thats just for dvds mate a carps mouth aint nothing like that

hey steve another great video mate,you are a good angler so i dont really like to say to much but i think the problem is your rigs,it just looks a bit crude mate,i think you should just fine them down a bit and replace the bloback rig ring with silicone and go shorter maybe 4 or 5 inch,sorry for the negative comment mate

Well to be honest i do not think your comment is negative, how difficult is it to tell someone in comments that maybe they need to change something, very difficult i think.

On the plateau on Abbey your lead immediately sinks into 2-4 inches of brown silty mud so youre left with a situation where your rig can be sitting very awkward.

I put it all in a bag to get it all in this silt at the same level.

The snakebite is tried and trusted and i use it in situations where weed is prevalent and i have to pull hard to get a fish out. It is thick stuff but looks loads worse when coated in base-mix and held out of focus 3 inches from the lens ;-)

I use Pallatrax Steam link as well as Kickback both great Fine diameter coated braids for other situations.

You might have noticed that I did change my rigs towards the end of the session and anyway we have the next session to come where I get a few more runs.
