Being a believer in free speech means defending even something in the press that you don't like, something that one might find to be personally offensive. As a Christian, I am often offended by statements in the media which are obviously intended to tear my heart out , but free speech means FREE speech and I wouldn't have it any other way. After all, your rights are also my rights, and vice-versa. Even if you think I'm foolish to believe in Christ, this Christian still supports the Constitution.
Why would you do something in the name of fun or entertainment that many people find offensive? Would you call yourself racist? Or sexist? No religion is evil. The followers, maybe some are bad and some are good. Your view of religion may make it seem evil, but that doesn't change the grounds that religion is formed on. Religion is not made to: control the masses; leader to become rich/powerful/etc; demean or categorise people into groups; justify killing of non-believers. Religion is made to: show a way of life that people may not discover if left to themselves, give purpose, encourage selflessness and improve society.
Again, please don't judge a religion based on the followers, and definitely not only on the 'evil' followers. For my side, i speak as a muslim. Killing innocents is forbidden. End of story. If anyone points to a mass murderer and condemns Islam for it, thats a mistake. His own God didn't ask him to do it.

i have no problem with muslims, but some people like the south park guys take their religion to seriously. No matter how much these 'people' claim to be drawing caricatures of our prophet, posting them up on facebook, or other various websites, I cannot and will not percieve it as being our Holy Prophet. Just because someone draws a cartoon of a man (with a beard and turban), and labels it as the prophet does not mean it is our Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). It just shows the stupidity of the people thinking they are exercising their right to freedom of speech.

@Samoora16 Islam receives most of the negative attention these days because, lately, it is the religion that makes the most noise about trying to control what other people can and cannot say and do. Blame it on the Muslim extremists who are making all Muslims look bad.

Muslims respect Mohammad and morality demands that you should refrain from an act that hurts feelings of a huge group of people.
Also please consider that you are not getting any benefit from drawing Mohammad's cartoons but only hurting feelings.
