Hey man, sounds great, I'm thinking of buyin an ibanez semi hollow too as basically a compromise for a 335, have you ever compared the two? I have a video up of me soloin over a slow blues just like this one, check it out if you get the chance, really want something hollow after this les paul.
I'm going to buy an AS73L this week, thank God that they're also built lefthanded!! :D BTW Ibanez has a quite big stock lefthanded models, that's why I love it :p
I have an AM73, and it is DECENT stock. I put in new vintage wires/caps and a set of Seth Lover pups, a Tusq nut and Ernie Ball 11's. Now, it's a freaking tone MONSTER. All up - guitar, parts, labor - under $450. Can't beat it with a stick....and you should hear it coming out of an old Kalamazoo tube amp into a 2x12 cab. Pure heaven!
I paid $200 for an AS73 with new Seymour Duncans (and the original p-ups),and a custom hardshell case. I just threw a Gotoh 510 tuneomatic on it today with new Gotoh tuning machines. Now it is a ridiculous guitar for the money. I just wish I could play like you. The bridge though; really brings out the character of the maple.
Thanks for the kind words! Sounds like a sweet axe, post up a vid for us when you get it up and running. I agree its got a great tone for a $400ish guitar!
