  • I think this is excellent. Karl was a fantastic singer with a fabulous vocal range. What year did he record this track does anyone know?

  • @Silverlady1

KARL RECORDED THIS TRACK IN 1993 ON THE 15 track PLAZA ALBUM "JUST lOVING YOU" PZA 004CD

PACKED WITH PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED DENVER TRACKS INCLUDING OTHER GEMS LIKE BACK TO AFRICA, THE ANSWER TO EVERYTHING AND MOONLIGHT BAY. rE-RELEASED in 1999 AFTER HIS DEATH as Movin' On with 3 additional tracks the last he ever recorded (still available PZACD014

  • Brilliant.. I never realised Karl Denver was Scottish..

  • LOVE IT X

  • Possibly the best track he recorded. The first LP I bought was Wimoweh - and still have it !!

  • As a Scot now living in Canada I love to listen to this song and know one day I will return home

  • what a voice Karl has, this for me is a great song, proud and privilaged to have bought some of his music

  • what a great song 1 of karls best

  • Excellent! Would you by any chance have Karl Denver's " I f I had my way" and "Peanut vendor"?

  • @rogermalyan

I have "If I Had My Way" and will upload it as soon as possible. I can't find "Peanut Vendor" though. Thanks for subscibing to my channel where at present there are 20 Karl Denver items. (soon to be added to)

  • @rogermalyan I uploaded the two songs you asked for at my channel. They're titled: Karl denver if i had my way and karl denver the peanut vendor. hope it helps.

  • does any 1 have an mp3 version of this song for my old dad? :)

  • @paulaahmed PM me through YouTube - I can probably help

  • The track is available from Plaza Records of London.

  • rockworld.

    Brilliant Just brilliant.

  • go to amazon thats how i got it

  • He was indeed Scottish, not American as most people think. Real name Angus McKenzie by the way.

  • I think this is excellent and if you'd ever had the experience of seeing him live wow, he blew you away. I'm proud to have been his friend. Never goodbye Karl. xxxxxxxx

  • A great version by Karl proud of his Scottish roots and upbringing.

Comments like those of "learningto" degrade our Scottish heritage. And the memories of a GREAT Scottish Artist

  • Beautiful...thank you. May you rest in peace dear Karl

  • Forgot to say that I also like the beautiful clip of Scotland. Think you had some work with that, also the Joe Sweeney clip, well done, and thanks again!!!!!

  • Great song! I also saw you added Joe Sweeney, thank you very much:-)

  • To my shame, I only learnt today that Karl Denver is a Scotsman. I only ever had one LP of his and there was nothing on the cover to say where he was from etc. Truly one of the best entertainers!

  • Indeed he was. Born in Springburn Glasgow 17/12/1931 though he claimed 1934 at times.

  • Wekk go for it and start collecting his albums there are at least 18 to seek

  • I've just listened to Mike Shannon's version, it's woeful when compared to this . . the original and best by the great KARL DENVER

  • yeah youve listened to a badly recorded live version..Listen to his version from his cd...Not woeful but excellent..We all have our opinions, and I disagree with your woeful comments.

  • Finally, someone uploads this version. Thank You!

  • I didnt know I had so many hairs on the back of my neck.

I,ve never heard this track before and its its its .......sorry.. I think Ive got something in my eye.

    Many thanks

  • Well it was originally a Plaza single, if you think this is sensational get hold of a copy of his last album, Movin' On, on Plaza, take a deep beath and listen to The Answer To Everything and Out of Africa, the album's packed with surprising late career gems

  • Apologies Charlie, I made nistake with recommended track title It should have been BACK TO AFRICA, Out of Africa
