I luv Phoenix, Arizona. At first I was talkin about movin 2 New Orleans. But wen I got there I thought 2 myself dat da place was 2 small 4 me. But I will say dat I will visit New Orleans every now and den because I don't hate da place. It's just dat I wanted 2 live in a much bigger city 4 da rest of my life. So wen I moved 2 Phoenix, Arizona wit my family I found myself falling in luv wit da city each and every day. Dat's why I'm stayin here 4 gud and neva leavin.
4:20 ~ 4:30 -> This trucks went against the traffic regulation because the truck is not allowed to drive in HOV lane. (Of course, HOV Lane is for buses or 2-people-or-more cars)
The highways in Phoneix compared to the ones in LA are really nice! All the freeways are really paved nice and it has nice designs and nice gravel. Nice video! A+ :3
You should come check out the newly reconstructed 10 fwy in Tucson. It's really cool. Or better yet, the 10 east of Tucson thru the Rincon mtns, pretty kewl drive to Benson.
They have a lot of those LCD billboards in Phoenix! I saw several of them as you went down I-10 in Phoenix. But that's a nice route--the traffic flows very smoothly and the HOV lanes loosen up the fraffic.
Maybe. I'm 50/50 now on whether or not to return to California in September or October now. I'm coming to the realization that I won't be able to see everything that I want in my North American trip, between now and early September. So, if I do decide to extend my trip by an extra month, I may indeed make a 4 or 5 day run to Chicago. One can afford the luxury of time, when unemployed. :-)
lol I was starting to wonder if you had a job when I was reading through this message. LUCKY!! Chicago is a fun place to be if you know your way around...hopefully you do or know someone in Chicago that does. Enjoy my town...if you go that is :)
If you go to Chicago, I would suggest also doing a side-trip north, and checking out Milwaukee's freeway system. The Marquette Interchange(where I-94, 43, and 794 intersect) was recently rebuilt(and its better than ever), plus going on I-794 is a great way to see Milwaukee's skyline. Best part is driving over the Hoan Bridge near the end of 794, and which goes over the Milwaukee River. (and becomes a bay to the east of the bridge)
Arizona allows trucks to use all lanes, unlike in California, which restricts trucks to the right 2 lanes.
Arizona's HOV network only operates during rush hours (I believe between 6 - 9 a.m. and 3 - 7 p.m.). Outside of the HOV restricted periods, trucks can also use the lanes.
They want to widen I-10 through Tempe to 24 lanes due to an estimated AADT of 450,000 in 2025. If it is that wide, you should definatly come back and make another video :)
Thanks! I still have yet to upload I-17, as well as Loop 101. When I come back to Phoenix in Arizona, I'll record the rest of the freeway network there.

4:48 ~ 5:11 : Oooooooh! So many trucks drive in left lane. It is not wrong if the trucks was overtaking. Just like Japanese traffic.

@ir10031981: Hey, I didn't even think about that, lol. Weren't the speed limits 65 on rural Arizona interstates and 55 through Phoenix and Tucson?

Awesome video. The interstate highways in Phoenix seem to be really clean and well maintained.

Wait, they're *completely* done with reconstruction now? I filmed I-10 in Tucson, but they were still shifting traffic around, back in July.

Those speed cameras are too much... although I guess it's still a better option than getting pulled over and catching a lecture.
Great video B
