Are you serious...marijuana increasing stress. Very uneducated statement. Especially for those who do not smoke it and have other ways of using it. Vaporizers or edibles. Educate yourself. And just because doctors say theirs a disorder from marijuana doesn't mean they are correct. They have been wrong or controversial for like 99% of medical history about everything. (Not an actual fact- just my opinion)
@BeautifulDisaster825 Although you are correct to an extent, Marijuana for most people can relax them, but for people who suffer from anxiety (being myself) I personally used to smoke weed for years and during that time thought i was having a heart attack and even went to the ER for a "heart attack", found out later that the weed was messing with the chemical synapse causing my brain to fire off unevenly, inducing a panic attack. So please, enough with the uneducated talk.
Okay so for number one.Do not take the drug that can directly mimick the stress response or get off it.
For number two.IF U NEED to get off the drug in the first place,do it very gradually, while under the doctor's care.
For number 3...Put more vitamins and minerals back into your system so there will not be any deficiencies.
When it comes to emotional, psychiatric disorders, YOU, not her, not me, not anyone, is the expert of your own body.If psych. meds help, there's no shame in that either.
@8066Donald1 the best way i have found is to use the nicotine patches and step down gradually over about 8 weeks. it is absolutely crucial not to smoke during this duration. i would start on a friday because you are going to be most irritable for the next 3-5 days and you atleast have the weekend to relax. this also applies to the transition between steps. whenever you have the urge to smoke go for a walk. continue aerobic exercise after cessation along with good diet and steady sleep pattern.
I use marijuana a only a few times a month or every other month at night when I can be alone as a tool for inner journeys of understanding my self & emotionally refreshing & releasing & healing wounds I feel no with-drawl at all and feel like if everyone could use it like I do it could benefit life.
However I was once addicted and smoked just to 'feel good' and couldn't feel good with out it, which like you said is counter-productive.If you can't feel good normally you need to fix that first.
Weed withdrawal took me 2 weeks (relatively intense), mostly emotional ups and downs, as if the body was demanding it's high like a child demands a candy, confusion, crying, crazy thoughts, etc. After that the peace and sharpness I have forgotten began to return and I was like FUCK.... thankfully I woke up and quit, got out of the ditch. Don't trust anything you read from other addicts - their logic is built around their attachments and addictions. And they want to drag you with them.
I smoked weed for about 2 years consistently - it slowly sipped itself into my system starting from "occasional" hanging out with friends. I was lucky to have had enough insight to quit and I feel SO much better now. It is very tricky and it takes intelligence to get off it. It does not help - it just creates an illusion of being helpful while it slowly makes you retarded, gives you bad memory, and takes away clarity, speed and intuition. Very dangerous.

My doctor prescribed me Adipex-P (37.5 MG) for two months for weight loss. I was at 270 when I started, at the end (1 and a half months) I was 235 lbs. I dropped the drug completely, because I was having panic attacks every single morning, and about once an hour. So, he gave me Valium for a week then Ativan for 21 days. Haha... My doctor kinda screwed me up :)
Yes that "not feeling good" part is "I'm not high anymore", it's a feeling of normality, not discomfort or pain. Your body detoxes EVERYTHING you put in it, drugs, food, liqiuds etc. You smoke weed, get high, it detoxes, you lose the high. Same exact principle goes for eating food when you're hungry. You feel fuller, it digests (detoxes) you feel hungry again. Btw that background is very pretty and trippy, it makes me wanna smoke weed and run through it while listening to Bluetech.
Since weed is illegal, feeling paranoid is understandable. Making sure people you know wont say anything about what your doing. Minor traffic stops are probably pretty stressful. I'd feel pretty paranoid if I got pulled over for running a stoplight and hoped to god the cop doesn’t smell anything or decide to search me.
If you think that diet can manage a neurological disease you are a moron. IT IS DANGEROUS FOR YOU TO SPEAK AS IF YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL CREDENTIALS. YOU ARE DANGEROUS. Some people require medications. I for one think youd benefit enormously by looking into a few...few meaning you should be on more thaan one.
I drink Chamomile Tea, n chew on Lavender leaves. I use lavender body wash, and shave with lavender foam, n use lavender oil after. All before bed, n i use a eye mask, but I that's because I have a sleep disorder... I use to take an anti depressant from 19 to 23 yrs old. I still hav to take care of my sleep pattern four years later. Do you hav suggestions...
I've been a casual smoker for the past 2-3 years without any problems at all. I played sports, ate lots of food, and generally felt healthy. Then about 6 months ago I was prescribed adderall because of my ADHD and it helped. However it only paid off in the classroom. So long story short I've developed some VERY bad habits lately. I smoke more, have no social skills, drink TONS of caffeine, don't exercise, and I have a bad diet. WHY?! I'm mad b/c I feel defeated, but I'm scared that I'll die!!
this is really good information for anxiety in general and stresss....my anxiety had gotten wrose from medication.....Increasing my heartrate and theln not. One drug called Effecor I heard give you "brain shivers" as a widthdrawl. d
I have been prescribed ADHD drugs for years and failed on every drug because it felt so hard and made my body feel burned out and malnourished and using caffeine every day was the same and I was prescribed Desoxyn tabs and took 20 mg 4 times a day and that is rx meth and I ate and slept and wasn't pumped up or anxious or psychotic like all other stims and it was mental and didn't make me high and was easiest to stop taking and all other stims made me fear it's impact on my body...
Pills, therapy, books about the subconcious mind etc you name it. In my experience I can truly testify that only The Living GOD has healed me. Medications from doctors helped me a little and it was temporary. God's healing power is ETERNAL! Now Im not an antidepressant pill dependent. The cure for fear is FAITH! Fear limits you. FAITH ENABLES YOU! People, THE ALMIGHTY GOD IS YOUR ONLY HOPE. READ THE WORD OF GOD, HAVE FAITH AND OBEY! God loves you and He wants you to LET HIM...
um, what if you HAVE an anxiety disorder.. such as panic disorder, where you have an issue with an imbalanced fight or flight response? What if you don't take caffeine, since it triggers anxiety and paranoia... what if you SMOKE because it relieves some of the anxiety ASSOCIATED with having an anxiety disorder such as GAD or panic disorder, which is WHY you self medicate because it helps RELIEVE some of the symptoms GAD or panic disorder gives you??
I do not and will not take medications such as xanax because of the high risk of addiction associated with it. I have been prescribed several different SSRIs to help treat my anxiety, and depression that is a cause of my anxiety. But the SSRIs seem to just cause further side effects, that make matters worse and don't directly cure the anxiety. SO what are medications I CAN take that are not addictive but WILL help cure that chemical imbalance that is causing my Panic Disorder and GAD?
ive tired different drugs out a curiousity tho. i just snorted 40mg of focalin, and 5 hours later its 3 am and im fucked up a regretting it. im just amazed people take 20mg on a daily basis.
im having to smoke weed so i chill the fuck out from this. its hella stronger than midgrade cocaine, and thats what kdis are being perscribed?!?!
that would be because you snorted it, which you aren't supposed to, and because you snorted it at 10pm. if you swallow it at 8 in the morning it's a different story.
BUT
stimulants suck, i agree. depressants too. it's weed and psychedelics for me
What is good for comming off depressants, such as shakiness, feeling bad maby more depression. I found out it could take many months for your body to readjust from the side effects.
cannabis and strong drink are sanctioned by god in the bible for the spirit uplifting proporties of each and also for the other various uses of hemp and other herbs. also i wouldnt consider dmt a "drug" from my point of view either nor mushrooms/ any plants. all the things mention excluding alchohol are all drugs not physically addicting. anything can be addicting by the way, its human nature lol, people can be addicted to something and not even achnowledge it as so.
There are no negative health effects by orally consuming marijuana, in fact it can be like vitamin C for the emotional & stress side of your brain... and studies show it can prevent and sometimes reverse brain tumors. Many psychedelic mushrooms are also a very useful emotional & spiritual medicine when used in that context, with no negative health affects.
i smoke a small amount of cannabis when i get off work before i take a bath. i take a hot bath, take a few hits before i get in , then take a few when i get out. this helps me with me anxiety and stress greatly. i take less then 10 hits of mary j a day though. dont abuse it because to much of a good thing can turn into a menace.
@512thewiseowl I compeltly agree with you ^_^b but with me haveing Tourettes i get to take my weed in pill form, becuase i don't wanna plug up my lungs with Cancer plus i can't roll to save my life lols. while in pill form it is such a treat at 7;30 when your in your jammies with a nice blow of smart pop watching cartoons and laughting like an idoit.... oh soo good XD
paraphrasing: "if stimulants make you calm, it's because you're addicted and alleviating the symptoms makes you calm".
This is completely wrong. How do you explain the fact that the FIRST time I ever took a stimulant (dextroamphetamine) for ADD I felt much calmer than normal, and my mind was able to quiet down and not think of 5 things at the same time, as I normally do?
It's known that people with ADHD/ADD have a "paradoxical" response to stimulants.
funny, since a lot of 'nutters' report this, and are helped by this effect. Hey, maybe ADHD is fake after all, and we're all just 'nutters'! thanks mrarches!
ive got nothing against people smoking weed, but if we legalize it everyone will want to try it as legality will give it respectability, then we will have a country full of pot head losers.
Legalize a drug that is considered a gateway to heavier drugs ? That would be a disaster waiting to happen especially in the UK where booze is already causing huge amounts of trouble.
If it be legal, you shouldn't hang out with heavier drug addicts and crimminals. Alkohol is much harder than weed, but that is legal and the persons don't use/see ist as Gatewaydrug
it can be a gateway drug as most people wouldnt dare touch heroin and hard drugs at first, but its much easier for people to try weed as it is considered a soft drug considered harmless by many, but once you have tried weed, its not always enough for some people and if your on weed ,well your half way to taking harder drugs. Its much easier to jump from weed to heroin or another hard drug, than to go from nothing to heroin.
well i dont think i need to explain the dangers of heroin as compared to weed to anyone,i think people will know that already.they just need to know that smoking weed can lead on to taking heroin.
now thats not even a valid point/argument and you know it.
you see you weed smokers dont have an argument for weed not being a gateway drug,so you use stupid examples, like that, what the fuck has milk got to do with it .
Theres a Heroin problem because your lovely and honest government allow it to be smuggled into the country because it makes peoples wallets fat, and it controls the population. The british empire use it against the asians.
I bet 100% of heroin users say they drank milk before they smoked weed or did heroin.
You can't actually say marijuana makes you do more drugs its the person who chooses to do different things not the weed, look it up honestly its unproven and actually quite silly even
Ok lets look at it this way then bud. If drugs are drugs then alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine can lead to marijuana which MAKES 70% of people want to try heroin by what you are saying. The vaaaaast majority of people have tried at least one of those first three which in fact are all drugs. Your common sense seems to be common brain wash so you're right i don't have "common sense". Please research scientific, reliable resources and you will agree with me. You're using opinion, not knowledge.
i love this woman so much. very articulate. i've been stressing out alot, even to the point of getting suicidal thoughts, i'm taking GABA pills, but i might have to go on anti-depression/anxiety drugs soon, it sucks. i'd rather become dependant on a drug then take my own life.
if anyone is trying to quit nicotene...take 400 mg of L-Theanine for two weeks...i chewed a tin of tobacco a day for 5 years and quit w/ no withdrawl symptoms! no b/s
After an evening of Cannabis intoxication, the next morning I feel so relaxed, I love it.
And I've never felt any anxiety, paranoia that was induced by the drug itself although it has indeed amplified some of my fears whenever I induced them.
Caffeine in coffee is linked with a decrease incidence of Parkinson's disease because it stimulates dopamine and some how regular stimulation of dopamine- which is depleted in Parkinson's - prevents the disease. Maybe it keeps the dopamine receptors "in motion."
drugs/alcohol help strees... nobody does it to be cool, they want the experience. drugs make you cool???? your dont no shit about whats going though teens minds.
yeah, just read a black box warning on desoxyn and how addictive and how abused the drug is. i am looking for a booster to perform in music and get through trade school. i heard this drug can cause cardiovascular failure, etc. is this drug safer in low dosages? which is truely better for ad/hd; adderall IR or desoxyn?
i just recently heard about desoxyn, supposedly a methoamphetamine drug. is it really a powerful stimulant? what, i wonder, separates desoxyn from a hard core narcotic like ecstasy which is a pure methamphetamine? is desoxyn stronger than adderall ir?
I love these videos they are very informative. The problem I have is that it tells me what not to do. And very little on or specifically what to do or who to see. If all these people stop self medicating and stop there meds they will be in hell. What is the next step. These people medicate themselves because they are miserable. And they are not educated in nutrition and counseling. They need more than what not to do. Where do we start and how can we help create the next step?
How, btw, can I improve my diet - especially since I'm not much of a cook? I note already about the stimulants - i.e, not going to them even though they are what I want right then. I just notice I use ice cream, chocolate, coffee and other stuff to escape but it doesn't really help - but it does in the moment. I get anxious anyway so I'm going to have to watch out what I eat - especially when i get feelings of fear, stress, anxiety, etc, from life events.
nah man id believe it ! i love my weed and all but i had a bad one last time around, i duno what happend but i jst started goin trippy and shit. everything turned into a kind of stop motion film. and i got really paro aswell. it was one of the worst moment in my life ! i have no problem with weed but you just hav to no how not to over do it.
i smoke pot i take dhc and oxys and pregablins and anti depressants all the time and i do agree with what ur saying i just cant stop i cudnt imagine my life without the drugs peace and love to u all
I used to drink a pot+ of coffee per day. I gave it up a few years ago, but then I started putting cacao powder in my smoothies, and found myself hooked on a stimulant all over again. I'm now gratefully stimulant-free.
I like this video, but I have one critique! Your videos would be much more honest and clear if you state that "withdrawal" from drugs is not always as severe as you claim. And that many people don't even notice these symptoms. I just want to point out that these symptoms are not necessarily going to happen and if they do happen they can be very light in severity.
Yea, I disagree, depending on the drug and duration of taking it, I think many drugs cause most of the people to have withdrawal symptoms most of the time.
I agree that withdrawal occurs, if you don't accept this than you are in denial. What I am talking about is the severity of withdrawal is rarely something to worry about, unless you are withdrawing from heroin or hard prescription drugs.
Most people don't have severe withdrawal after they stop smoking, and in many ways that's why it is so pervasive.
lauraboxer does have a point.. I was a heavy smoker of 10 yrs 6 months ago and was scared to quit for years because I, like all smokers are brainwashed into thinking it's near impossible to stop. Smoking is a mental addiction more than a physical addiction. The reality is that the withdrawals are just like hunger pangs that go away after a week or so...maybe even just 3 days which is minor compared to say... herion addiction. By the way I do love this channel and Nat always makes me feel calm.
ok how do you lower your sympatheic nervous system so that you can digest food and be more calm? ive been clean from every stimulant for over a year and im still suffering from an overactive sympathetic nervous system. its affected my digestion and weight a lot! any advice? (my thyroid and insulin levels are fine , i dont know whats going on or why my metabolism is so fast)

I have been prescribed ADHD drugs for years and failed on every drug because it felt so hard and made my body feel burned out and malnourished and using caffeine every day was the same and I was prescribed Desoxyn tabs and took 20 mg 4 times a day and that is rx meth and I ate and slept and wasn't pumped up or anxious or psychotic like all other stims and it was mental and didn't make me high and was easiest to stop taking and all other stims made me fear it's impact on my body...

um, what if you HAVE an anxiety disorder.. such as panic disorder, where you have an issue with an imbalanced fight or flight response? What if you don't take caffeine, since it triggers anxiety and paranoia... what if you SMOKE because it relieves some of the anxiety ASSOCIATED with having an anxiety disorder such as GAD or panic disorder, which is WHY you self medicate because it helps RELIEVE some of the symptoms GAD or panic disorder gives you??
kaymarie888 1 year ago
I do not and will not take medications such as xanax because of the high risk of addiction associated with it. I have been prescribed several different SSRIs to help treat my anxiety, and depression that is a cause of my anxiety. But the SSRIs seem to just cause further side effects, that make matters worse and don't directly cure the anxiety. SO what are medications I CAN take that are not addictive but WILL help cure that chemical imbalance that is causing my Panic Disorder and GAD?

cannabis is the only drug for me...
ive tired different drugs out a curiousity tho. i just snorted 40mg of focalin, and 5 hours later its 3 am and im fucked up a regretting it. im just amazed people take 20mg on a daily basis.
im having to smoke weed so i chill the fuck out from this. its hella stronger than midgrade cocaine, and thats what kdis are being perscribed?!?!
ImOneBadMuthaFucka 2 years ago 2
that would be because you snorted it, which you aren't supposed to, and because you snorted it at 10pm. if you swallow it at 8 in the morning it's a different story.
BUT
stimulants suck, i agree. depressants too. it's weed and psychedelics for me
warwick487 2 years ago

Many psychedelic mushrooms are also a very useful emotional & spiritual medicine when used in that context, with no negative health affects.

i smoke a small amount of cannabis when i get off work before i take a bath. i take a hot bath, take a few hits before i get in , then take a few when i get out. this helps me with me anxiety and stress greatly. i take less then 10 hits of mary j a day though. dont abuse it because to much of a good thing can turn into a menace.

paraphrasing: "if stimulants make you calm, it's because you're addicted and alleviating the symptoms makes you calm".
This is completely wrong. How do you explain the fact that the FIRST time I ever took a stimulant (dextroamphetamine) for ADD I felt much calmer than normal, and my mind was able to quiet down and not think of 5 things at the same time, as I normally do?
It's known that people with ADHD/ADD have a "paradoxical" response to stimulants.
johnson741op 2 years ago
yes you may be correct about the " paradoxical" response, but that could be just that your a nutter.

Damatelon 2 years ago
dutchland is a different culture,in england everyone would want weed if it were legal, because they are like sheep.
mrarches 2 years ago
Legalize a drug that is considered a gateway to heavier drugs ? That would be a disaster waiting to happen especially in the UK where booze is already causing huge amounts of trouble.
stuarachel 2 years ago
It isn't a Gateway drug!
If it be legal, you shouldn't hang out with heavier drug addicts and crimminals. Alkohol is much harder than weed, but that is legal and the persons don't use/see ist as Gatewaydrug
Damatelon 2 years ago 2
it can be a gateway drug as most people wouldnt dare touch heroin and hard drugs at first, but its much easier for people to try weed as it is considered a soft drug considered harmless by many, but once you have tried weed, its not always enough for some people and if your on weed ,well your half way to taking harder drugs. Its much easier to jump from weed to heroin or another hard drug, than to go from nothing to heroin.
mrarches 2 years ago
You need to show the people how bad Heroin compared to weed is
Damatelon 2 years ago
well i dont think i need to explain the dangers of heroin as compared to weed to anyone,i think people will know that already.they just need to know that smoking weed can lead on to taking heroin.

Drinking Milk can also leed to heroin as weed!
100 percent of heroin users had tried Milk bevore
Damatelon 2 years ago 21
now thats not even a valid point/argument and you know it.

hey mrarches,
I bet 100% of heroin users say they drank milk before they smoked weed or did heroin.
You can't actually say marijuana makes you do more drugs its the person who chooses to do different things not the weed, look it up honestly its unproven and actually quite silly even
rif1991 2 years ago
the only thing thats silly on here is your milk comment.
drugs are drugs and 1 can lead to another, common sense, which u dont seem to have.
mrarches 2 years ago
Ok lets look at it this way then bud. If drugs are drugs then alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine can lead to marijuana which MAKES 70% of people want to try heroin by what you are saying. The vaaaaast majority of people have tried at least one of those first three which in fact are all drugs. Your common sense seems to be common brain wash so you're right i don't have "common sense". Please research scientific, reliable resources and you will agree with me. You're using opinion, not knowledge.

Hey I agree!
After an evening of Cannabis intoxication, the next morning I feel so relaxed, I love it.
And I've never felt any anxiety, paranoia that was induced by the drug itself although it has indeed amplified some of my fears whenever I induced them.
Rocky1990 2 years ago
Caffeine keeps coming up in helping to stave off dementia/ Parkinsons etc..
It might just be that the caffiene BLOCKS the endogenous chemical's like Dopamine from getting at the nueroreceptors.
Domapine etc.. ultimately causes damage to nueroreceptors as you get older so caffiene blocking that action may produce those advantages.
trilly6502 2 years ago
Caffeine in coffee is linked with a decrease incidence of Parkinson's disease because it stimulates dopamine and some how regular stimulation of dopamine- which is depleted in Parkinson's - prevents the disease. Maybe it keeps the dopamine receptors "in motion."

yeah, just read a black box warning on desoxyn and how addictive and how abused the drug is. i am looking for a booster to perform in music and get through trade school. i heard this drug can cause cardiovascular failure, etc. is this drug safer in low dosages? which is truely better for ad/hd; adderall IR or desoxyn?
chasinwaterfalls 2 years ago
i just recently heard about desoxyn, supposedly a methoamphetamine drug. is it really a powerful stimulant? what, i wonder, separates desoxyn from a hard core narcotic like ecstasy which is a pure methamphetamine? is desoxyn stronger than adderall ir?

Psychtruth,
I like this video, but I have one critique! Your videos would be much more honest and clear if you state that "withdrawal" from drugs is not always as severe as you claim. And that many people don't even notice these symptoms. I just want to point out that these symptoms are not necessarily going to happen and if they do happen they can be very light in severity.
This gives both sides of the story.
lauraboxer 2 years ago
Yea, I disagree, depending on the drug and duration of taking it, I think many drugs cause most of the people to have withdrawal symptoms most of the time.
Take cigarettes for example.
psychetruth 2 years ago
I agree that withdrawal occurs, if you don't accept this than you are in denial. What I am talking about is the severity of withdrawal is rarely something to worry about, unless you are withdrawing from heroin or hard prescription drugs.
Most people don't have severe withdrawal after they stop smoking, and in many ways that's why it is so pervasive.
I agree with you 99%!
lauraboxer 2 years ago
lauraboxer does have a point.. By the way I do love this channel and Nat always makes me feel calm.
petestrat07 2 years ago
