  • This film was amazing!!

  • Wow they sure did add a lot of lines that aren't in the book. I absolutely loved the but, I thought it was a masterpiece so it bugs me a little that they strayed from it but I'll still watch.

  • I am crying ....

  • Love the book as well

  • I am most shocked by this story. Was it true? If so, white americans are a poor excuse of human beings. How could you be so ignorant, so mean? Black people, as well as aboriginal people, as any race have been made the same in the eyes of God. If those white americans were so religious, they have certainly skipped some chapters of the bible. I am white and I want to offer my sincere sympathy for black people's cause. Racism should be punished harshly.

  • My school is showing this for black history month at the auditorium tomorrow :}

  • such a great movie...indeed one of the best movies 2011.

  • man, i've been wanting to watch this movie!

  • I just saw the whole movie in this trailer; thank you come again..

  • Though we are in 2012 there are still people with white skin and a black soul, that deserve to eat shit too!

  • Song 0:32?

  • Goosebumps all over. Wow wow wow!

  • ‎"The Help" was a great movie to me. I wasn't going to watch this movie at first, but I noticed it talked about life in Jackson Mississippi (particularly Jackson) during the civil rights era so I thought I will watch it. I first watched this movie on my way back from Paris on my Air France flight. I really enjoyed. Congratulations on its Screen Actors Guild Awards wins last night. It is truly deserving of an Oscar win next month.

  • White guilt, the movie.

  • I am from the United States, and I wish this was the trailer released, because it centers so much on the character of Aiblieen and Viola Davis's Oscar worthy performance.

  • 26 people ate shit

  • Bryce Dallas Howard for best villain of 2011! :D

  • tapyourfeetnodyourhead.blogspot.com/2011/11/help-review.html my review if you are interested :) thanks

  • Almost done with the book..can't wait to see the movie.I like Emma stone but didn't imagine her as skeeter

  • @TheRandomNess77 I agree. I liked her performance, but I thought she was too pretty to be Skeeter. I always pictured Skeeter as plain, freckled and gangly.

  • This movie should win a lot of awards

  • @zimoash2026 it did :)

  • @zimoash2026 its has so far. It a front runner for the oscars

  • just finished reading the book! looking forward to watching this :)

  • LOVE the book. Can't wait to watch the film

  • Eat My Sh*t ! lmao Minny a Trip;DD

  • LOVE

  • I cried.

  • This is a very good movie (I give 5 stars), very touching eye opening for some and very well made, if you are looking for a blockbuster or if you are sensitive to this subject this is not a movie for you. what i also enjoyed that they didnt rush the story I found the length appropriate.

  • @carlossaroufim I agree with you, but I thought it WAS a blockbuster movie.

  • just saw it the other night. Chaps, this movie was one of the best I ever saw in my life. Like the twelve maids said "mmmhmm".

  • @thejaybee84 well it is embarrassing for white people as well. The way things used to be was messed up and devastating...

  • THIS MOVIE IS BETTER THAN TITANIC, THE GODFATHER AND THE DARK KNIGHT

  • viola davis gave the performance of her life in this movie!

  • I REALLY Hope This Does Not Ruin The Book :|

But, I Cant Wait To See This Film!

  • You are kind You are smart and You are important !!!!!!

  • You are kind You are smart and You are important

  • and so?

  • Funniy moveie

  • The absolute BEST movie of the year!!!!! I just got done watching this & I'd watch it again in an instant! The characters are multifaceted, the story line will keep you drawn in...you'll laugh, you'll cry...it's just awesome!! Definitely going to add this one to my collection! Ten stars!!

  • Awesome movie i cry because i remember my mother have do this in sixty.

  • Awesome movie i cry because i remember my mother have do this in sixty

  • I'm sorry, but I just don't believe Meryl Streep should win the Oscar. My first pick is Viola Davis. Viola was incredibly REAL as Aibileen, and that was a very special role for her to play. She managed to tug at the heartstrings of most people who saw "The Help." If she doesn't win, though, I want Michelle Williams to win for "My Week With Marilyn." She played a very believable Marilyn Monroe.

  • The instant I saw the trailer, I knew this was another nigger baiting Oscar flick along with Precious and the Blind Side.

  • i just watch this movie and i

    LMAO at the pie scene

    .

Hilly: what did u put on this pie ?

    Minny:EAT MY SHIT

    Hilly:have u lost ur mind ?

Minny:No Mam but you about too

    Hilly: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH AAAAAAHHHHHHHH

  • "EAT MY SHIT"!

  • I read the book and absolutely LOVED it.. can't wait to watch the movie!

  • i love the movie and the book :)

  • Viola Davis will win oscar for this!

  • I have never seen a movie that has both enraged me and elated me at the same time like this one did. I've never laughed or cried so hard in the same movie. I've never seen such good people and evil people in the same movie. I've never felt such horror at what people are capable of believing, or had such hope for what people can ultimately accomplish. As a writer, Skeeter is the type of person I want to be.

This movie is a masterpiece, and it should be viewed by everyone.

  • Just finished reading the book and loved it!!! Seeing the film on Wednesday, can't wait!!!

  • if you have read the book, watching the trailer to this movie shows you exactly what Hollywood does to nearly every controvercial topic.... it sanitizes it and turns it into a "feel good", comedic flick with a happy ending and characters who all get along in the end.

If you want to watch a feel good-about-myself movie, watch this one... If you want to get a real sense of the feelings and emotions of this story, do yourself a favor and actually read the book.

  • Youtube People's Choice Award - The Help.

  • Jaybob brought me here =)

  • Very moving book...can't wait for the dvd

  • The book is great! I'll Watch the dvd as soon as it comes out too

  • this world be moving round and moving good!!!

there is always gonna be a better day!!

  • The book is phenomenal. I really hope the film does it justice :')

  • Self aggrandizing, sanctimonious, emotional voyeurism of the worst possible kind. Cringeworthy and embarrassing for anyone who takes the time (or cares) to read between the lines. (I bet this comment is not published either - makes me wonder why you want to suppress the uncomfortable truth?)

  • @thejaybee84 I could not have said it better.

  • must watch!! its awesomee!!!

  • I really really REALLY want to see this

  • Amazing movie

  • @Iceminer24 it seems you are the only person on here who can put themselves in someone else's shoes. I find it quite shocking that some people are saying its, funny, the best movie etc, etc ... wow! - maybe they don't have any black friends, or they like to remember when they used to "be boss" over black people - no wonder racism will never go away. When my black friends watch this, they say it humiliates them and makes it harder for them to not to dislike white people they don't already know.

  • @thejaybee84 - the point is, this movie tells the truth of how white Americans treated black Americans at that time. Where I live, (not in USA) many people didn't know this was the situation for so many black women, and can hardly believe this was actually the way it was! - Of course parts of the movie are funny- black people do have a sense of humour and humour is often used as a coping mechanism in hard times. This movie is inspiring proof that racial discrimination is borne out of ignorance.

  • i liked emma better with red hair...

  • hahaha gwen stacy and gwen stacy in the same movie !!!

  • I love Minny

  • I <3 this movie so inspirational! It is a good laugh and some tears!!!!!

  • great movie.. thankfully, we've progressed ... in some ways. There are still plenty of people out there who still have feelings of superiority over blacks.. Hispanics, Asians,... etc.

  • Do you like the movie? Read the book. :-) The Help by Kathryn Stockett

  • I read the book but later learned read in a newspaper that the main servant on whom the story is based knew nothing about the book and is not at all happy.

  • @redsportsandleisure That's not really true, the story's not based on her; she tried to sue the author but the courts threw the case out. :/ Oh well.

  • looks awesome i'm so gonna watch it now

  • the book is 100% fantabuous! A highly recommended read!

  • So good:)

  • Brilliant, looks hilarious about time the racial divide was shown as a comedy. It proves that all races have wicked sense of humours.

  • Looks great...

  • it advertizeds like a comedy when its a move about raceizem and hate to black people in the 1940's its sad and it is all true but the director should have made the ad to fit in with the move when they fouces on all the happy parts about the move

  • "You is smart. You is kind. You is important"

  • It was great!

  • Best movie i have ever seen....better than the all time greats like LOTR,Star Wars, Dark Knights, it was breathtakingly AMAZING!

  • This looks awesome :D

  • @palsharpton..i don't know what movie you were watching but this movie is one of the best movie ever..you must not have a sense of humor or just don't have good taste in movies lol!...this movie is a must go watch :)

  • Im gunna watch this. And i didnt even know who Emma Stone was. xD

  • It's not yet out in the UK; to those who have seen it and also read the book, how closely does it follow the plot, details, characters etc etc?

  • I've got the book..the famous pie scene is in different orders (first brought up at the party unlike the movie)..and high recommended..

  • Two-slice hilly lol XD

  • this was an excellent movie, it made me cry, we are going back to see it again,, a must see movie:)

  • Amazing movie ! Made me cry and laugh in the same time...

  • People may say that Emma Stone is a stupid and horrible actress but personally, I think she's AMAZING! She's awesome no matter what role she plays and I really can't wait to see this!!! :D

  • I love Emma Stone, I really do. I just had a totally different picture in my head of Skeeter when I read the book... I hope that won't spoil the movie for me...

  • It seems like a nice movie, its nice to see a movie that's based on true-to-life events, American ppl shouldnt be ashamed of this movie because its part of the ugly history we have! its time to face it, Racism is still ALIVE AND KICKING in the USA....come on.....majority (Republicans...rednecks) doesnt even like their "CURRENT PRESIDENT!" Wow...how patriotic are we? LOL HAHAHAHA!

  • I loved it!! This movie is amazing and brings real history to life!!

  • Lol Whos emma Stone???? o.o

  • What the hell do you learn from this? --How to be a bitter slave

  • Not seen the movie yet, but judging from the trailer, the book is 10x better. Go read the book!

  • i don't know what to say about this movie. i might just go back to the movie theater next week to watch it again. man, this must be one of those once-in-a-decade movies

  • White guilt will always be inspirational. If your not moved by this film you're racist

  • @jaydab13 i love you tooooooo;-)

  • I LOVE IT!!! OMG ITS GREAT A MUST SEE!!!!!!

  • Sometimes brains skip a generation hence the problems today.

  • Great movie!

  • I think i found my favorite movie today when i saw it :)

  • This movie was awful so much hype for nothing. Dont waste your money guys. I went and saw this yesterday. It was awful

  • this movie will get an award...great story, great acting.

  • This movie was HILARIOUS! The pie, oh the pie! Take that Hilly!

  • Im not going to lie, I initially was only interested because it was Emma Stone doing a serious role. But after watching this film, its SO much more, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Emma Stone make this film shine in so many ways and all three deserve oscar nods!! And It was nice to see Bryce Dallas Howard changing it up a bit, she was a better villain in 2 minutes of this film that the entire time she was in the twilight saga.

  • @sashabrowns and @ jaydab13 at first i did want to see it only because of Emma Stone but your both right it looks beautifuly sad and inspiring which lead me not only to go watch it for Emma but because it seemed like a great movie:) so to everyone out there, yes it's Emma Stone IN a fantastic movie that you must watch.

  • the fact that my grandmother a maid too made me grow even fonder for this movie. Emma Stone is just unbelievable bkos her talent shines thru and she has broke out of her shell with the comedy right into drama. the rest of the ladies did an unbelievable job at convincing us and takin us to the time when all this is was all reality. this movie deserves all the recognition its getting and every person who disagree w/ the concept, thats ignorance at its finest. remember love your enemies.

  • Wow, this looks like an awesome movie! :)

  • @Ashtree28 ITS EDUCATIONAL. LETS LEAVE IT AT THAT.

  • @Ashtree28 well a 12 year saw it and loved it .its a really good movie i saw it! but it has its moments

  • Can anyone tell me who has seen this movie and if it would be good for young teenagers so see?

  • @4EverBrunetteBeauty yes...go see it

  • @4EverBrunetteBeauty I haven't seen the movie but I read the book and it doesn't have any really strong scenes, the only thing that makes it a bit for older people is that it has such a strong message behind it :) Actually I would recommend younger people watched it too

  • @4EverBrunetteBeauty Yes it would be. Its nothing bad, its actually very inspiring. However there is one scene involving something disgusting. Though I think they would be mature enough to get through that part (even with some laughs.) So go see it!

  • Wow ... I gotta see this ... it looks superb!

  • @Egdirnam Emma Stone played Skeeter

  • EMMA STONE IS SOO PRETTY!

  • haha only people who saw the movie would know this but..."eat me shit"!!!

  • @lexzar123 chocolate pie XD

  • Liberal fantasy horseshit!!!

Isn't that the midget Jason Voorhees shoved into the deep fryer in "Jason Goes to Hell"

  • new world order loves this ...movies and tv are all mind control crap

  • I went to see this movie and I LOVE IT!! it's really uplifting and teaches you a LOT, The courage of this young woman to go and wright about it

  • I wonder to myself what the response would have been if a white character had made feces pie and served it to an unwitting, credulous Black character?

    More Hymiewood liberal propaganda.

  • Why can't people comment on the inspiring reasoning of the movie instead of just talking about Emma Stone! No offence...

  • i weep for my ancestors everyday. but i feel blessed that i live in a world where blacks can be successful happy and comfortable with who they are :) LIFE IS GOOD!!!

  • i weep for my ancestors everyday

  • Emma Stone did an AMAZING job on this movie. She played out Skeeter exactly how i saw her when i read the book. She is a brilliant actress and i bet she is going to go far in the movie making. I hope she wins some awards for this<3333333

  • says its in theaters in October. I just got home - it was a good story :)

  • EXCELLENT FILM DON'T WATCH THE TRAILER, IT WILL SPOIL THE WONDERFUL STORY

  • Well Emma Stone isn't really the reason why I wanna see this. It looks like a good movie yeah, I like her as actress too. She's awesome, funny, amazing and really talented. But this movie looks like a good story. So fuckin' get over yourself.

  • i have a feeling i'm going to cry my out watching this :')

  • Sounds like a great story...Emma Stone is one the best actresses in Hollywood at the moment!

  • Which one is Emma Stone? I am so out of it. I saw the movie but I don't know who was who. Who is Emma Stone?

  • @Egdirnam Emma Stone is the blonde with the curly hair. She plays Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan.

  • @Egdirnam the main girl.

  • @Egdirnam The white girl writing the story

  • @Egdirnam Eugenia/Skeeter
