@IndianTwilight The best comedians joke about things that are true or stereotypically true, thats what usually makes their work funny. They need to be able to relate to their audience. The funniest things to most people are what is familiar to them. He isn't making fun of his own culture, but noting on things that we have in common and making it light and fun.

Indian comedians, if they want to go international, need to limit their comedy about Indians and make it more about comedy because Sharmila told me that no one gets these Indian inside jokes but Indians.

I get them... maybe because my boyfriend is Indian... but look at Russell Peters... hes phenomenally successful and his staple jokes are Indian ones. There's such an Indian population that comedians can be succesful by appealling to that.
