  • Indian trains need to be long with many coaches not just fast and very short like the TGV.

  • The simple fact is, an Indian train will NEVER, EVER go as fast as the TGV in normal service.

  • Another simple fact, a French train will NEVER NEVER be able to haul 24 coaches with a single locomotive at 140 kmph!

  • The train passes the camera at 138 km/h (86 mph)

    The train is blast its horn right when it passes and you can see the speed by measuring the doppler shift

  • assuming a car is < 50 foot long, < 2 cars passed every second, the train's speed is < 50*.3*2 m/s = 30 m/s = 30 * 3.6 kmph = 108 kmph. The TGV can go upto 600 kmph.

  • No it can't. It's top speed has been around 574.8 kph.
