Because last time I checked, God wasn't king, he wasn't betrayed or killed, Jesus was, Jesus didn't have and epic face off with an evil brother who killed God, and Jesus didn't go on to becoming king of the world and such. Just assuming a small similarity between a few characters doesn't make it based off of the other work.
