These are two stroke engines. In this size, some have converted four strokes but they too use a fuel that has the lube mixed with the fuel. I'm not aware of anyone that has made a fuel injected diesel in model engine size.
That have such a nice sound at idle.

Yes, a bigger prop on diesel will give as much thrust but the sound is more realistic, and that's good for scale aircraft.

I got an AME .25 it can run 14,000RPM on the ground. but I like the way this sounds.
