And you pick so good songs for my voice xD. Maybe you could do some Death Cab for Cutie songs? :)

  • Doesn't an Em sound better instead of a G?

  • Also prefer an Em. No matter if it sounds better, but it´s easier to play...for me :o)

  • I usually bash you for usuing a capo but this time you went capoless. It'd be helpful if you told us the strumming pattern. Good lesson BTW

  • thanks again! =)

  • Can someone please tell me how to strum this exactly? down-up-mute-up... then what?

  • down-up-mute-up---up-down-up

  • What is the G chord he is playing; I was taught tp play G with pinkie on 3rd e and index on 2nd fret A and middle on 3rd fret E. I can't see what he is doing, someone please find out....

  • mute that guy, i love it wen you say that

  • Thank you! Great lesson!

  • just something i noticed... when you're strumming away at 0:43 why do you slightly lift your left hand off the frets playing the same chord every now and then ? thanx for the lesson btw ! i love learning new strumming techniques :)

  • Yes, I do that to mute the chord with the left hand. It's just a habit, but sometimes it is required to make the strumming sound more percussive.

  • really good video mate hepl out alot

  • hi bro, is the strumming like this: down-up-mute-up--up-down-up?

  • very easy to play - thanks to you and your tutorial.

    helped me a lot

  • Thanks....really. Huge Coldplay fan, and even though I still suck, I can 'kinda' play this now, which is awesome.

  • karate chop. haha

  • ahah! I don't think it's " Really easy song to play " as you said.. =p (that's my point of view)

You're a great teacher who likes the "Good" music..

    Keep going !

    5 stars from France..

  • Great Lesson

    Thanks for all your videos!

  • thank you

  • wow :) it took me 15 minutes to learn the song! THANKS, good explaining

  • thanks

  • Thanks for the post, I just have one question. What version of G are you playing in the Corus I dont recognise it, is it a variation of G..?

  • It's actually a G5. 2nd finger mutes the 5th string. Fingers 3 and 4 play the 3rd fret of strings 1 and 2.

  • good for beginers

  • YOU....ROCK!

  • I want to say thank you because oof watching your videos and watching them over and over I have started to learn to play acutal songs instead of just playing what sounds good to me Thanks I will keep watching hope you come out with other songs like so far away by three doors down

    Big Mike

  • So far away and Here withou you by three doors down ♥ I hope too :)

  • so far away and Here without you by three doors down ♥ ! I hope too :)

  • amazing!! thanks!!

    'karate chop' haha

  • nice to meet you - thanky for friend

  • Are the finger positions the same for the washboard?

  • if you train your ear, you don't have to

look at the charts all the time.

    for example, learn the

    progression 1, 6, 4, 5.. or 1, 4,5, millions

of songs you will hear the exact same pattern.

  • Not exactly. When you memorize songs yes. But when you step into the studio and you have to play the song the first time, without having heard it, and then they change keys on you when the singer walks in...you need a chart. The best studio players in the world use charts.

  • exactly man

  • @unaPatrol how do you go about doing this? just wondering

  • Great lesson. I will definately be checking in here! Thanks for sharing. *****
