I can feel with my seat bones whether or not my horse has picked up the correct lead, but you can cheat by glancing at his shoulder- the inside shoulder moves farther ahead when you are on the correct lead. Be careful not to lean your upper body when you look at the shoulder as this can unbalance your horse. Also check with your trainer if you have one- Good luck! :-)
Wow, that's a loud leopard appy in the ring with you! You look really solid at the canter. I've got to relearn how to sit my butt in the saddle, I'm used to modified two point at the canter!
