No one beat the original 3 team, Pat Sheehan, Al Terzi, Hilton and Dave Smith This team started in the mid to late 70's- toe early 80's and no one in CT ever matched them to this date.
Best open in the market!!! Did the old Ampex ADO get a workout in those days? Finally, who did Post Newsweek use for their O&O voiceovers? great voice.
Supposedly it is Thom Allen, who was a radio personality in Jacksonville in the 1980's. I can't confirm that though. He did v/o's for WJXT, WTSP, WPLG, WFTS, KMOL and WFSB.
...remember the days when they branded themselves as "30 News". their slogan was "30 News, an hour's news in half the time." joanne nesti anchored the news, sports director was mike crispino and the meteorologist was of course brad field. would love to see a video from that era.
...is this all you have of the clip, or do you have the entire newscast? consider doing one of those "elements" montages of the newscast shortened to five minutes, showing what the elements looked like. good stuff though!
Unfortunately the person who gave me this had only the open and close. I wish there were more because the I think the set and elements were excellent. I'm told WDIV in Detroit (WFSB's sister-station at that time) had the same set.
I Believe This Was A VIdeo Clip Of WFSB-TV's Channel 3 Eyewitness News At 6 Video Open And Video Close From 1985.

Yeah, well, I got stuck on one theme and used it...yeah, pretty much at WJXT, WDIV, WPLG, and WFSB.

Wait, are you THE John Christopher Burns of TVbD fame?
You are a god of graphic design.

This is bringing back so many memories! Do you or a friend have anything from WVIT-TV (NBC) channel 30?

Like D'Ascenzo's old station, WJW, they've also had the "One For All" theme.

WBZ-TV in Boston also used the "One 4 All" package. Someone posted it as:

I've seen WTVF in Nashville with the same set as well.

WJXT also had the same set. Curiously, WPLG did not.

Wasn't Denise D'Acsenzo her replacement when she arrived in 1986?
KML0224 4 years ago
Not directly. Marlene Snyder was the anchor for a short time after Barbara Allen left.
