I have no idea. I borrowed the mic from my friend.

I'm assuming it's from a company called "Blue" because there was a large "Blue" logo at the front of the mic, and my friend kept calling it a "snowball" so that might be a part of the name.

Hmm, perhaps you just don't feel right with the mellow feel of this song, which first came across as a declarative, anthem-like song. It's alright. The intention was to put a new twist on the song.

By the way, the strumming (actually, it's plucking) pattern was intentional for that reason; to make it sound more mellow.

Definitely what jsilke said, practice the "oohohhohh" part, but other than that it was GREAT! Personally this is my favorite version of all the ones I've heard, and I've heard a good 15-20. I would practice that part and then try to sing it again during the day when you don't have to worry about waking anybody. Have you tried out for American Idol yet? I'm sure if you did you'd easily make Top 20. Or I guess it's Top 12 this year. You're better than alot of the Top 36 contestants of 2009.

Well done my Ramenrobot ... good attempt with nice harmonies. It is not a direct "copy" you made your own version, which is good when making a cover. Practice the "oohohhohh" part: try not to strain when singing it... relax and keep your voice controlled, You can reach those notes easily but you have to maybe put a bit more power behind them to keep from drifting.
