@LeftSeatAviation So before you make ignorant comments about business executives, make ignorant comments about stock traders, athletes in certain sports and very well known and popular actors because then you would at least have a good percent of a chance of being right.
@general232 I don't like the company mentality. Pilots seem to take unnecessary risks and I really really don't like airbuses! And with so many better airlines, why take risks?
lol i like how the pilots are all calm but anyone with a slight understanding aviation at 0:17 would have been like oh SHIT!!! loooks like the stuff that brought down the AF a330 that and pilot error good thing they had a pretty clear path around it or else that would have been one hell of a ride!
@SOCKEMBOPPERZ1 What "stuff" brought down AF447? It's certainly wasn't thunderstorms. The pilots got unreliable airspeed. One pilot pulled up, increasing the angle of attack, and eventually stalled the aircraft.
@gradfark according to what investigators were able to find from the black box, the pitot tubes may have iced over (the airspeed indicator and other instruments get their reading from them) The result was faulty airspeed indications, which kicked off the autopilot ending in an unrecoverable stall. There were three pilots on board, and the captain was taking a break at the time, with the least experienced copilot flying..hope this helps somewhat
@gradfark yeah but the reason the got unreliable airspeed was because the pitot tubes froze because there was super cooled water in the thunder storms of course there probably isnt any super cooled water in this storm and i may be exaggerating but it looks like a similar storm pattern the the pilots tried to dodge around
@DanFrederiksen part2: some pilots get over paid and under paid.you need to know lots of things.after the lufthansa test you need to pass like all pilots the cpl commercial pilot licence and thats to very hard and not cheap.our presidents really dont give a shit about anything they just want money and be inportant those presidents are out there and doing NOTHING. Pilots have life in their hand with 1 wrong move every one can die pilots have responzebility in there hands!!! LIKE!!! ALL PILOT FANS
@DanFrederiksen my dad is i pilot a fleet chef and a instructur. To be a pilot you need to be very good in math.you probaly know the airline lufthansa.those are the most payed pilots that exists.they earn as i captain 12k (euro) a month thats 14k us dollar.when 1000 people take the lufthansa test only 90-150 people pass thats very little because they need to be good in the subjects and they need to have the right carcter my dad was in the lufthansa test and passed it and that is very hard .
Pilots moaning about pay is pointless, no matter how shit the pay is there will always be people willing to do that job for less. That's how it is and that's how it will stay. Most pilots under 30 knew what they were getting into but thy did it because that's what they wanted to do. Being a pilot is hardly like being forced to work in a labour camp. If the wages are too low get another job.
Switch of all electronic devices, failing to do this will be a breach af Aviation rules and your items will be confiscated and a report sent to the Airport Police at the Terminal .. oh except the piltos and cabin crew, they can film and use anything !
@DiamondPilotDan The President only makes 400k a year. CEO's....now if ever there were men or women overpaid. They don't deal with near the stress of pilots or Presidents.
@av8or757 Being a pilot usually is not too stressful. I went to my cousins High School for a presentation and a kid asked why I love being a pilot, and I said "because flying those things is fun as SHIT!" Now president.....that's a hell of a job.....
@av8or757 My dad is a CFO [has been a CEO in the past though]. He works more than 60 hours a week, 7 days a week sometimes and has no choice because if he didn't, the company he works for would go to shit and then we'd be homeless. Last year my medical expenses were over $100,000 AFTER insurance and if my dad didn't work as hard as he does my entire family would be completely screwed.
@LeftSeatAviation And he didn't inherit his money, he came from a blue collar background, went to a high school where only 50% of the students even went to college [including community college], he went to Northwestern for undergrad and Kellogg School of Business [at Northwestern] for grad. He paid his own room and board by working all through school, and his parents only afforded his undergrad tuition because they saved up money his entire life for it.
@LeftSeatAviation He started working delivering newspapers at age 5 [subcontracting from the actual paper boy] and when he was 10 he got his own paper route. He has worked for his money every step of the way since. When he was the CEO of a certain company [I'm not disclosing which one] he turned around their entire financial situation so the company got sold instead of going out of business. Then, after all that, they laid him off.
@av8or757 - Dude, you can't seriously tell me that running a big corporation is less stressful than being a pilot. C'mon - most CEOs would love to work the number of hours every month that long-haul pilots work. Where do people get the idea that CEOs work 20 hours a week for their big checks? Most of them have only one life - WORK. If pilots were working 60-80 hour weeks the industry would be a disaster area.
@petrhsr I've been in the industry for 10+ years,so I see firsthand what pilots REALLY do. Your comments on what pilots do and don't do are based on........?
@DiamondPilotDan are you kidding? they make a shitload of money doing glorified bus driver work. the president of USA has a huge responsibility by comparison. that they fail to live up to it is another matter.
@DanFrederiksen are you fucking kidding me, do you know how stressful it is to pilot dumbass, at least with a bus you can stop it where it is, on a plane, you have shitloads of things to control, and one small mistake and you cost everyone onaboard, and bystanders thier lives. how the fuck can you even say that. please, delete that comment right now. shit...
@bait28 no I'm not fucking kidding you. once in the air they fly on autopilot for hours, it can even land on autopilot. it doesn't exactly compare to carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.
@DanFrederiksen you are an idiot for saying that. Pilots work 10-16hour days and get paid only for the time they are in the plane with the doors closed, which is half of their time "working". Also, this is not bus driver work. pilots pay tens of thousands training to become extremely well educated and trained in their work. not only this, but think of the stress. little sleep, 16 days a month away from home, and*taking the lives of hundreds of trusting passengers into your their hands every day*
@DanFrederiksen this is the second part of my first comment.
I'm disgusted by what you have said. driving a bus and flying a plane are nothing alike. being a pilot comes with enormous stress and responsibility, and there is almost zero tolerance for mistakes. It is an extremely prestigious, challenging, disciplined career. show some respect.
@DiamondPilotDan what stress? sitting in a seat for hours with nothing to do at all.
regional pilots don't get paid much in USA but that's another issue.
I would much rather fly a plane than drive a bus. it's a lot easier. you can actually sleep on the job.
a bus driver holds thousands of people's lives in his hand every day and in city traffic there is actual stress navigating a complex environment all day long.
if you're disgusted by the truth I speak you're an idiot.
@DanFrederiksenif you're not a damn pilot then you better shut the fuck up you stupid prick? you think it's easy to be an airline pilot? i doubt you could even do it. What are you, one of those people who thinks the pilots just flip on the autopilot and sleep the whole flight? I'm literally so mad at you right now that if i could find you I'd beat the shit out of you. sitting in a seat for hours with nothing to do at all? if you think that, then you clearly know nothing about begin a pilot, dick
@DanFrederiksen wow it's easy for some little nerd who plays with electric motors all day to talk shit i guess. You could never be a pilot or as good as a pilot.
we call your kind "trolls" you shouldn't talk shit about something if you know NOTHING about it. Airline pilots are incredibly smart and well trained. they deserve respect. their jobs are very stressful and challenging. maybe you're just jealous of them?
@DanFrederiksen being a polymath genius sure won't help you fly a plane buddy, or deal with the stress and responsibility. you dont heear me talking shit about engineers, so dont talk shit about pilots you fucking jerk
@DanFrederiksen seriously, you got to be fucking kidding me, i hope you know auto pilot does literally nothing but keep the plane straight at the same altitude. dip shit. also, there are many things that hydrolics malfunction under in a couple of seconds. you need to shut up and learn some shit. polymath. that won't help you fly a plane you dip shit. you need to shut the fuck up.(I know what i'm talking about) dude, playing FSX isn't flying a real plane. now go back to your polymath and cry.
@DanFrederiksen okay, as funny as i found your comment, most modern jets can assist landing but cannot land themselves. or at least smaller boeings can't. i think the larger airbuses can and the larger 747's.
@DanFrederiksen man that comment "glorified bus driver" is still eating away at me. you are so incredibly out of place and ignorant to say that. It makes me furious, even now.
@DiamondPilotDan it's good that it's staying with you because saying something as fantastically stupid as pilots should be paid more than the US president, you need some mental adjustment.
@DanFrederiksen oh my god you have no fucking CLUE what people go through to be airline pilots. i swear to god if if could find you...
you are literally calling neurosurgeons glorified school nurses you arrogant prick pilots are all smart, just cuz someone can't fuck around with polymath on a paper like some nerdy little kid doesn't make them dumb you fucking cunt
@DiamondPilotDan threatening violence does make you dumb though. you should try a better mental path.
and polymath has nothing to do with math. it's an old term that means expertise in multiple areas as opposed to say a physicist that focuses only on physics.
I know pilot training is typically very expensive, often they are fighter pilots where only the best of the applicants are accepted. and flying a plane is more complicated than driving a bus. but it's nothing like the presidency.
@DiamondPilotDan Exactly. My mom was actually hit by a bus when she was 7 because the bus driver drove up and over the curb [my mom wasn't even in the street]. The bus driver didn't even get fired, even though there was medical proof of injury.
@DanFrederiksen Actually the President doesn't have that many responsibilities and unless he gets impeached, he gets paid regardless of whether he does his job or not. That said, it is a stressful job because the President gets blamed for everything that goes wrong, even though he doesn't have that much to do with it.
@leon6266 HA. That is so far from the truth... Even if it were, most pilots will never reach that spot. In the US you would be lucky to bust $100K. I work the ramp at an airport here in the US and I make more than the first year FOs (at least for the regionals).
@DerPilotMann dude I know they dude make great money. Top ones for flying A380 or 747 make at least 370,000 Australian and A380 more income. If you dont know just say dont talk.
@asm6ekyu GPS equipment will "model" the aircraft against a horizon making night flying a peace of cake, added by weather satellite inputs and traditional radars, we're good :) and worry mechanical / structural / electrical failure which is rare compared to the HUGE amount of pilot errors. I still maintain, your screwed up French ego :) airbus sucks boeing rocks :) I don't care what the airbus data say, my experience tops boeing any day!
@asm6ekyu 296 ... and keeping egos aside (you seem to have a HUGE caucasion one mated with a small wily :) I'm sure one of the major reasons for air crashes is an inherent flaw in using magnetic / pressure equipment to measure critical data - like pitot tubes for speed and altimetars, what IS required is GPS satellite data input to flight computers MATCHED by traditional inputs ALERTING the pilots for say more than 5% discrepancy and we're good :)
@asm6ekyu 296 ... Third-party investigations into the crash dispute the official findings. Captain Asseline also reported that the engines didn't respond to his throttle input as he attempted to increase power. In the month prior to the accident, Airbus had posted two Operational Engineering Bulletins (OEBs) indicating possibilities of anomalous behavior in the A320 aircraft. These bulletins were received by Air France, but were not sent out to pilots until after the accident:
@asm6ekyu if you knew atleast the FBW computer - human over ride systems of Airbus have cost many lifes so many crashes see [youtube . com / watch?v=-kHa3WNerjU] remove spaces, for instance among many others
@asm6ekyu you fucking racist son of a bitch, I guess that sums up your response, go die in Iraq or Afghanistan with your lousy fucking mates, asshole x 1 zillion
@GOapeshit14 Nothing wrong with the AH, the aircraft is banking right to avoid the build ups ahead displayed on weather radar. Is this what you meant?
Another thing... I have been on a lot of flight decks (DC-10) (727) (L-1011) and I can tell you that the turbulence you feel on the flight deck is much less noticeable than in the cabin. If the flight deck is getting bounced around like this video indicates then they are REALLY FEELING IT in the cabin. They should have gone around. Looks like a pattern to me of French Pilots dogging it no matter what the hell the radar is showing.
Are these pilots French? Is there something that causes French pilots to fly into thunderstorms?? Remember Air France 447? Remember Air France from Paris to Toronto Flight 358 another thunderstorm. Are these guys stupid or what? Storms are pinging all around them and I'm sorry yes you can divert to an alternate airport or sit on top until it clears or vector miles around it but if you look at there heading there heading right into the soup. Jesus Christ I mean come on man!
@asm6ekyu you're an arse hole that's what you are, shameless BIGOT biased piece of crap, google "which is safer, boeing or airbus" and you f u c k i n dimwit will get a decent answer, but I guess your attention deficiency syndrome won't let you grasp it anyway :)
@iokazmi ROFL .. If a goat fucker from the shit hole of the desert , UAE (big laugh, what IS THAT country ? Lol ) vomit a lame insult.. then i'm sure 'm right.. lol.
Just the stupid suggestion to use google to compare security of two whole aircraft makers with so many different aircraft suffice to class you into the lower IQ dumbasses...
Please do the world a favor and get back in your desert to play with your camels and leave the high tech to the big boys..
SIm without a dought. Look at the lighting flash. Average foul weather sim all piolts have to run it. Besides the video taping inside a cockpit under fight is against all the rules.
@andybuzz2u No it isn't. There are companies that profit off of filming the cockpit during all stages of flight. It's hard to do in the USA because you are under the jurisdiction of the FAA but it's different elsewhere.
@etc1338 Nope... If it was a simulator, there would be a screen interference and a difference on the light. In a simulator, the screen doesn't get pitch black. And the bank angle is on 30º which on some aircrafts it's the maximum that they can bank. Cheers m8, have a good day! :D
It looks like from the weather radar they are going in between a few cells around the edges ..but you san see the bright red and violet thats level 4 and 5 lots of rain and severe turbulence and winds right there.. my dad used to have to vector around alot of weather like this up in the midwest back when he used to fly for Braniff.
yes on the weather radar, they are proably trying to deviate or go in between the cells...sometimes they can go over weather but alot of this stuff has 50 and 60,000 foot tops on it...so they try to find openings to go through or deviate to go around stuff..sometimes up to 100 nautical miles or more to stear clear of weather like this..
@bundfund These planes nearly fly themselves. Some pilots appriciate the advances in tech. Some prefer the old days, it all depends on who you talk too. Most that do not approve of the new tech are affraid of the loss of control and computer failure. But there are so many redundant systems for safety and even manual overrides that the plane can be flown entirely by hand if needed. It just takes out some possible pilot error.

@DanFrederiksen I'm not even going to keep replying... go call a surgeon a glorified school nurse or something
DiamondPilotDan 1 month ago
@DanFrederiksen seriously, you got to be fucking kidding me, i hope you know auto pilot does literally nothing but keep the plane straight at the same altitude. dip shit. also, there are many things that hydrolics malfunction under in a couple of seconds. you need to shut up and learn some shit. polymath. that won't help you fly a plane you dip shit. you need to shut the fuck up.(I know what i'm talking about) dude, playing FSX isn't flying a real plane. now go back to your polymath and cry.
bait28 1 month ago
@bait28 girlfriend, modern autopilots at modern airports can land themselves.
you can plot a route including landing and the plane can do everything after take off.
sit back, drink coffee, get served food and flirt with the stewardesses.
DanFrederiksen 1 month ago
@DanFrederiksen okay, as funny as i found your comment, most modern jets can assist landing but cannot land themselves. or at least smaller boeings can't. i think the larger airbuses can and the larger 747's.
bait28 1 month ago
@DanFrederiksen Well you haven't done it SO...you DON'T know what your talking about. Case in point.
LeftSeatAviation 2 weeks ago
@DanFrederiksen man that comment "glorified bus driver" is still eating away at me. you are so incredibly out of place and ignorant to say that. It makes me furious, even now.
DiamondPilotDan 2 weeks ago
@DiamondPilotDan it's good that it's staying with you because saying something as fantastically stupid as pilots should be paid more than the US president, you need some mental adjustment.
DanFrederiksen 2 weeks ago
@DanFrederiksen oh my god you have no fucking CLUE what people go through to be airline pilots. i swear to god if if could find you...
you are literally calling neurosurgeons glorified school nurses you arrogant prick pilots are all smart, just cuz someone can't fuck around with polymath on a paper like some nerdy little kid doesn't make them dumb you fucking cunt
DiamondPilotDan 2 weeks ago
@DiamondPilotDan threatening violence does make you dumb though. you should try a better mental path.
and polymath has nothing to do with math. it's an old term that means expertise in multiple areas as opposed to say a physicist that focuses only on physics.
I know pilot training is typically very expensive, often they are fighter pilots where only the best of the applicants are accepted. and flying a plane is more complicated than driving a bus. but it's nothing like the presidency.
DanFrederiksen 2 weeks ago
@DanFrederiksen I'm guessing you've never done either fly a plane OR drive a bus
LeftSeatAviation 2 weeks ago
@DiamondPilotDan Exactly. My mom was actually hit by a bus when she was 7 because the bus driver drove up and over the curb [my mom wasn't even in the street]. The bus driver didn't even get fired, even though there was medical proof of injury.
LeftSeatAviation 2 weeks ago
@DanFrederiksen Actually the President doesn't have that many responsibilities and unless he gets impeached, he gets paid regardless of whether he does his job or not. That said, it is a stressful job because the President gets blamed for everything that goes wrong, even though he doesn't have that much to do with it.
LeftSeatAviation 2 weeks ago
@DiamondPilotDan they do top pilots make half million
leon6266 1 month ago
@leon6266 HA. That is so far from the truth... Even if it were, most pilots will never reach that spot. In the US you would be lucky to bust $100K. I work the ramp at an airport here in the US and I make more than the first year FOs (at least for the regionals).
DerPilotMann 4 weeks ago
@DerPilotMann dude I know they dude make great money. Top ones for flying A380 or 747 make at least 370,000 Australian and A380 more income. If you dont know just say dont talk.
leon6266 4 weeks ago
@leon6266 no they do not. some of the luckiest pilots in the world make barely into the 300k $ area.

How in the world GPS will calculate IAS? :-)
eikro 3 months ago
Bel accent ;)
oscillatine 3 months ago
@asm6ekyu GPS equipment will "model" the aircraft against a horizon making night flying a peace of cake, added by weather satellite inputs and traditional radars, we're good :) and worry mechanical / structural / electrical failure which is rare compared to the HUGE amount of pilot errors. I still maintain, your screwed up French ego :) airbus sucks boeing rocks :) I don't care what the airbus data say, my experience tops boeing any day!
iokazmi 3 months ago
@asm6ekyu 296 ... and keeping egos aside (you seem to have a HUGE caucasion one mated with a small wily :) I'm sure one of the major reasons for air crashes is an inherent flaw in using magnetic / pressure equipment to measure critical data - like pitot tubes for speed and altimetars, what IS required is GPS satellite data input to flight computers MATCHED by traditional inputs ALERTING the pilots for say more than 5% discrepancy and we're good :)
iokazmi 3 months ago
@asm6ekyu 296 ...

@valter356 that white screen you see is a lighting and a very bad cam!
TheMkrj1 3 months ago
Another thing... I have been on a lot of flight decks (DC-10) (727) (L-1011) and I can tell you that the turbulence you feel on the flight deck is much less noticeable than in the cabin. If the flight deck is getting bounced around like this video indicates then they are REALLY FEELING IT in the cabin. They should have gone around. Looks like a pattern to me of French Pilots dogging it no matter what the hell the radar is showing.
ccwalker050 3 months ago
@ccwalker050 These generalization about pilots from a country don't make you appear to be intelligent..
How do you know about all French Pilots.. ? It's like saying all americans are stupid just by judging by your comment.. That would be lame..
asm6ekyu 3 months ago
Are these pilots French? Is there something that causes French pilots to fly into thunderstorms?? Remember Air France 447? Remember Air France from Paris to Toronto Flight 358 another thunderstorm. Are these guys stupid or what? Storms are pinging all around them and I'm sorry yes you can divert to an alternate airport or sit on top until it clears or vector miles around it but if you look at there heading there heading right into the soup. Jesus Christ I mean come on man!
ccwalker050 3 months ago
@ccwalker050 at about 2:25 the pilot says he will go around.. Don't spread nonsense when you know nothing

SIm without a dought. Look at the lighting flash. Average foul weather sim all piolts have to run it. Besides the video taping inside a cockpit under fight is against all the rules.
andybuzz2u 4 months ago
@andybuzz2u No it isn't. There are companies that profit off of filming the cockpit during all stages of flight. It's hard to do in the USA because you are under the jurisdiction of the FAA but it's different elsewhere.

simulator...look at the bank angle and then the PFD
etc1338 4 months ago
@etc1338 Nope... If it was a simulator, there would be a screen interference and a difference on the light. In a simulator, the screen doesn't get pitch black. And the bank angle is on 30º which on some aircrafts it's the maximum that they can bank. Cheers m8, have a good day! :D

@etc1338 yea and the cockpit windows when it lightings it kinda has strips

It looks like from the weather radar they are going in between a few cells around the edges ..but you san see the bright red and violet thats level 4 and 5 lots of rain and severe turbulence and winds right there.. my dad used to have to vector around alot of weather like this up in the midwest back when he used to fly for Braniff.
CrowBanjo37 4 months ago
yes on the weather radar, they are proably trying to deviate or go in between the cells...sometimes they can go over weather but alot of this stuff has 50 and 60,000 foot tops on it...so they try to find openings to go through or deviate to go around stuff..sometimes up to 100 nautical miles or more to stear clear of weather like this..
CrowBanjo37 4 months ago

bundfund 10 months ago
@bundfund cause they almost have these everyday i think after much times times fliying they even like it more then normal calm flight xD
OoMusicFreakyoO 9 months ago
@bundfund These planes nearly fly themselves. Some pilots appriciate the advances in tech. Some prefer the old days, it all depends on who you talk too. Most that do not approve of the new tech are affraid of the loss of control and computer failure. But there are so many redundant systems for safety and even manual overrides that the plane can be flown entirely by hand if needed. It just takes out some possible pilot error.
