@REkill101 yep, it does. capcom announced a 4-player online co-op for the story campaign. there are 6 available classes with different abilities. classes- sniper, recon, medic, explosion expert, researcher and team commander.
As awesome as Hunk, Dino Crisis and so on are....... Nicholai.... I'm glad he's finally getting the screen time he deserved! After reading the novelization I realised how big a part Nicholai played!
@garland70 i agree. nicholai is badass. re3 without him would've been far less awesome. i hope they won't screw him up, like they did with some other characters. would be cool to play as him in a minigame in orc, or at least in the mercenaries.

Nemesis was trained to kill Valentine through photographic brainwashing. Just one of the many reasons this game will be "non-canon", not part of the official timeline.

This feels like the best nostalgic game in history, maybe it isn't a survival horror, but it is a big throw back to the old fans, re-living RE2&3 events, seeing Nemesis, Birkin, Hunt, Leon, Claire, what more can someone ask for ?!
I really can't wait to get this, I will tear through the campaign, we will probably have a mode or something where we can control Chris, Jill, Leon, or Claire

This game looks like an ultimate fail. They were on the right track with RE4, and then messed up RE5 and this looks even more pathetic. The quality of games is severely horrible now a days. @WhyteCollar Your right on the first half, RE5 is would have been good if it wasn't presented badly suffering the DMC2 case. But the story behind this is interesting actually look into it more.
For RE 6 the characters will be Leon and Jill but one thing Capcom is doing differently now is adding in new original characters like in Revelations they have two new BSAA agents joining the group. It allows for more flexibility because they use an old school character like Chris and have him partnered with a new person so it can add some additional backdrop to the plot.

So, my guess is that this is an "Alternate Reality Story", you either playing as an Umbrella operative, Or be a boss as Hunk. Maybe even Leon and Claire.
People keep saying that this is a what if non canon game but it actually is canon depending on what steps u take. Like if u kill Leon then it stops being canon but these characters such as nicholai, delta team. And HUNK will carry on to Resident evil 6. This is said to be a prequel to 6 because it explains their new role now that Wesker is dead so they will fill the spot.

@goodvillain101 CoD needs to be changed, it's been the same crap since 2007. RE needs to go back to its roots. If they want to change it, do a RE4 type game, but with zombies and more of what made the series popular all those years ago.
@WolfForest22 That part going back to its roots is half and half, I remember when RE0 came out people complain about it being stale, so I'll give 10 more years to hear people come back to the same complaints again.
@WolfForest22 First of all, it's the RE4 type gameplay that turned RE into the genre it is now. Second, the reason RE was popular back then was: the static camera angle (don't know what's coming at you), clunky controls (a chance for an enemy to attack while you try to move) and jump scares (not scary anymore thanks to Dead Space). Nowadays, those would be considered poor game mechanics.
@WolfForest22 And if RE were to go back to its roots, it would be no different from CoD by trying the same thing that made them popular. Fans grew sick of it when RE0 was released. If Capcom were to step back, where would the progress be? Without progress and change, RE4 would never have existed.

@DevilCleiton i don't know if we'll see Jill and Carlos, because if this goes with Re2 Jill was in the Church and Carlos in the hospital for all of Re2 duration so we might not see them. But Nemesis and Nicholai will be there! :D
@3rdViper what he means is, its a what if game where you play Umbrella commandos sent to make sure that no evidence of their envolvment, however u have to battle the zombies, bmws and army.
This game starts with Leon and Claire arriving in RC, that means it starts with RE2. Which is halfway through RE3 (when Jill is in Church and Carlos is scavenging around the hospital).
With Wesker gone, in the current timeline he's the only bad guy actually left alive (he escaped in RE3 then was shown working for Wesker in Outbreak File 1 and 2).
I'm now looking forward to this game more than Re6.
@PSCricket3 Well we got that Alex Wesker person the RE5 story shat out in a notebook, so thats another villain floating about. But yeah I dont think Capcom can beat the Raccoon City setting, it has a powerful impact and so much potential on the RE universe ;)

@REMagnum500 Too many people are saying its going to be bad because its more of an action game. To be honest it looks better than RE5 and 4. I always hated that you couldn't walk and shoot, it didn't make sense to me. But this game just looks plain old amazing.
@Darksoul9669 yeah, that's true. they also hate it because u can kill leon, claire... but it's umbrella damn it- they kill all that oppose them. i agree that it looks better than re4 n 5- the gameplay can finally focus on it's full potential. playing mercs in re4 n 5 was a pain- u got surrounded and a chainsaw attacked u- death. i always imagined how it would be to use the pseudo fps gameplay like in GeOW or uncharted. i believe the co-op will be super fun. -still interested in the story too.

@blades34AK thanks for the support. games were always meant to be played first and then make an opinion, and not hate on a trailer of a spin-off game that "to me" looks really good so far. it's obvious that not everyone will like it, but the prob is that people r hating it for the wrong reasons- not because of gameplay, atmosphere or story, but because u can kill characters, it's alternative and focusing on action and co-op...- very sad.
@blades34AK u bet. i tried to play re5 online today- was lame. not like this. move n shoot, 4 player co-op, crazy bows, back in RC... don't you think this game looks chaotic (in a good way)? zombies running out of alleys, threw broken down walls, jumping out of broken cars+ open sewers. umbrella sending in lickers, tyrants, nemesis, hunters not giving crap about their own forces leaving you to fight not only for them, but for your own survival... that will be psycho.- march is so far away. :P
@blades34AK i'm a little bit concerned about few things- some areas seem to be a bit lacking atmosphere, and i'm wondering how the auto cower system will perform, and same with the socom-like controls. still looking forward to this game thou. i think that the controls used in uncharted 2 would be the most ideal choice for this game (my opinion at least), but i'll make an opinion on this after i try it first. imagine this game with a 4 player co-op- massacre. what character do u wanna be?
@REMagnum500 I heard from a commentary the cover system is automatic, just line up against a cover spot, the game does the rest, however they report that part can get problematic especially being exposed to gunfire.
Character choice would be well, probably Vector first, then Beltway. The female characters, Lupo because her infinite ammo skill and super soldier skill would prove useful, Bertha I would use the majority of the time probably because her ability to cure infections.
@blades34AK yea, i've seen some vids on gametrailers. still think it will be one hell of a fun game. i like that u can sprint, or hit an enemy without shooting his limb or head first+ the side arm is a good choice.
they r all good choices. didn't know lupo has infinite ammo- i liked her for her brutality, leadership skills+ i like violent females. :3 bertha is cool too- i've always been more of a support in medic classes or covering rather than moving in the first line. u getting it day one??
@REMagnum500 I probably get it 3 days after day one actually, my job keeps me busy as a Handyman for the Maintenance crew. I think I read one of Lupos skills off of that Inserted Evil campaign. I think one skill lets here gun turn gold and have infinite ammo for 30 sec. and one skill that makes invulnerable to attacks for 30 secs. as well.
@blades34AK i'll be getting it shortly after the launch as well- probably. lupo is cool as well as others. i read some things too on wikia- like their names... lupo- karena lesproux (french), bertha- michaela schneider (german)... i heard you're invulnerable to physics when you get infected, except for your head... from the story- your mission is to rendezvous with hunk, secure g... btw- any news on offline co-op? i only read 4 players on line so far. :/

Yes RE5 is one of them, Lost Planet 2,the PSX RE games, Dino Crisis 1 & 2, Dead Space 1,2, and Extraction, RE Chronicles, DMC games, Castlevania games, MGS games, KH games, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, God of War series, Zelda,Pokemon, FF, Mass Effect, SW Battlefront 1&2, Onimusha Series, Army Men 3D, GTA Vice City, .Hack//games, L4D 1&2 the list goes on...
@blades34AK i agree- would be more fun with 6 players. too bad re5 was too bright with weak atmosphere and some really crappy levels. was happy that lickers returned, but they turned them into something different. you got re5 with the dlc, gold or without it? how was dino crisis 1? played only 2. btw- so u got ps3, 360 and pc?
@REMagnum500 Got RE5 first then traded in for Gold Edition. Compared to 4, the game felt too tamed, but the chapter with the Licker Betas was my favorite stage. As for the Dino Crisis 1, its like a harder version of RE with dinosaurs really, you can walk and shoot at the sametime not like 2 where you run, buy ammo and kits. Dinos are more resilient to handgun fire, your can tranquilize dinos, but basically has the same principle flow as RE. But between the 2 games, DC2 is more exciting.
@blades34AK was it worth to get gold? when i saw lickers, i thought it's getting darker with the levels, but i was wrong. :/ wish there was something more, like- assignment ada and separate ways like on re4. dc 2 is morer like a arcade, from what i've noticed. too bad i never played dc1. did u ever played parasite eve 1 or 2?
@REMagnum500 It technically was, despite the game being more expensive than a seperate DLC download which takes up more space on the console just to hold those, where you have them all on disc. PE1 plays like a RE+RPG hybrid but in real time combat, still fun nonetheless. PE2 abandoned the ATB bar turn base and plays like a regular survival horror with RPG elements.

@goodvillain101 CoD needs to be changed, it's been the same crap since 2007. RE needs to go back to its roots. If they want to change it, do a RE4 type game, but with zombies and more of what made the series popular all those years ago.

@WolfForest22 First of all, it's the RE4 type gameplay that turned RE into the genre it is now. Second, the reason RE was popular back then was: the static camera angle (don't know what's coming at you), clunky controls (a chance for an enemy to attack while you try to move) and jump scares (not scary anymore thanks to Dead Space). Nowadays, those would be considered poor game mechanics.

@WolfForest22 And if RE were to go back to its roots, it would be no different from CoD by trying the same thing that made them popular. Fans grew sick of it when RE0 was released. If Capcom were to step back, where would the progress be? Without progress and change, RE4 would never have existed.

I would agree except:
1)The older crowd make this garbage now, I know...wtf is with that??
2)The graphics are not "cool"....sad excuse. But true.
3)Younger players have the attention span of a gnat. Which is why this garbage is made. If it isn't so franetic and shit blowing up and people dying every half a second it must be a waste of time to play it.
I still remember the good old days of AD&D pen and paper. The graphics were your nerdy friends lol

@DevilCleiton i don't know if we'll see Jill and Carlos, because if this goes with Re2 Jill was in the Church and Carlos in the hospital for all of Re2 duration so we might not see them. But Nemesis and Nicholai will be there! :D

This game starts with Leon and Claire arriving in RC, that means it starts with RE2. Which is halfway through RE3 (when Jill is in Church and Carlos is scavenging around the hospital).

With Wesker gone, in the current timeline he's the only bad guy actually left alive (he escaped in RE3 then was shown working for Wesker in Outbreak File 1 and 2).
I'm now looking forward to this game more than Re6.

@PSCricket3 Well we got that Alex Wesker person the RE5 story shat out in a notebook, so thats another villain floating about. But yeah I dont think Capcom can beat the Raccoon City setting, it has a powerful impact and so much potential on the RE universe ;)

@REMagnum500 Too many people are saying its going to be bad because its more of an action game. To be honest it looks better than RE5 and 4. I always hated that you couldn't walk and shoot, it didn't make sense to me. But this game just looks plain old amazing.

@Darksoul9669 yeah, that's true. they also hate it because u can kill leon, claire... but it's umbrella damn it- they kill all that oppose them. i agree that it looks better than re4 n 5- the gameplay can finally focus on it's full potential. playing mercs in re4 n 5 was a pain- u got surrounded and a chainsaw attacked u- death. i always imagined how it would be to use the pseudo fps gameplay like in GeOW or uncharted. i believe the co-op will be super fun. -still interested in the story too.

@blades34AK thanks for the support. games were always meant to be played first and then make an opinion, and not hate on a trailer of a spin-off game that "to me" looks really good so far. it's obvious that not everyone will like it, but the prob is that people r hating it for the wrong reasons- not because of gameplay, atmosphere or story, but because u can kill characters, it's alternative and focusing on action and co-op...- very sad.

@blades34AK u bet. i tried to play re5 online today- was lame. not like this. move n shoot, 4 player co-op, crazy bows, back in RC... don't you think this game looks chaotic (in a good way)? zombies running out of alleys, threw broken down walls, jumping out of broken cars+ open sewers. umbrella sending in lickers, tyrants, nemesis, hunters not giving crap about their own forces leaving you to fight not only for them, but for your own survival... that will be psycho.- march is so far away. :P

@blades34AK i'm a little bit concerned about few things- some areas seem to be a bit lacking atmosphere, and i'm wondering how the auto cower system will perform, and same with the socom-like controls. still looking forward to this game thou. i think that the controls used in uncharted 2 would be the most ideal choice for this game (my opinion at least), but i'll make an opinion on this after i try it first. imagine this game with a 4 player co-op- massacre. what character do u wanna be?

@REMagnum500 I heard from a commentary the cover system is automatic, just line up against a cover spot, the game does the rest, however they report that part can get problematic especially being exposed to gunfire.
Character choice would be well, probably Vector first, then Beltway. The female characters, Lupo because her infinite ammo skill and super soldier skill would prove useful, Bertha I would use the majority of the time probably because her ability to cure infections.

@blades34AK yea, i've seen some vids on gametrailers. still think it will be one hell of a fun game. i like that u can sprint, or hit an enemy without shooting his limb or head first+ the side arm is a good choice.
they r all good choices. didn't know lupo has infinite ammo- i liked her for her brutality, leadership skills+ i like violent females. :3 bertha is cool too- i've always been more of a support in medic classes or covering rather than moving in the first line. u getting it day one??

@REMagnum500 I probably get it 3 days after day one actually, my job keeps me busy as a Handyman for the Maintenance crew. I think I read one of Lupos skills off of that Inserted Evil campaign. I think one skill lets here gun turn gold and have infinite ammo for 30 sec. and one skill that makes invulnerable to attacks for 30 secs. as well.

@blades34AK i agree- would be more fun with 6 players. too bad re5 was too bright with weak atmosphere and some really crappy levels. was happy that lickers returned, but they turned them into something different. you got re5 with the dlc, gold or without it? how was dino crisis 1? played only 2. btw- so u got ps3, 360 and pc?

@REMagnum500 Got RE5 first then traded in for Gold Edition. Compared to 4, the game felt too tamed, but the chapter with the Licker Betas was my favorite stage. As for the Dino Crisis 1, its like a harder version of RE with dinosaurs really, you can walk and shoot at the sametime not like 2 where you run, buy ammo and kits. Dinos are more resilient to handgun fire, your can tranquilize dinos, but basically has the same principle flow as RE. But between the 2 games, DC2 is more exciting.

@REMagnum500 It technically was, despite the game being more expensive than a seperate DLC download which takes up more space on the console just to hold those, where you have them all on disc. PE1 plays like a RE+RPG hybrid but in real time combat, still fun nonetheless. PE2 abandoned the ATB bar turn base and plays like a regular survival horror with RPG elements.
