I have a theory that I would like to expound upon on yt. You can riff on anything, even Casablanca... and this makes the stuff that is actually bad stand out, because you know when something is funny because it would have been funny if Bogart really said that, and when something is funny because it's stupid. People who take riffing "all things" personally are afraid something stupid that they like will get contrasted by this effect and stand out; which is, you know, embarrassing.

Can someone please explain to me what Schnappy is? I've heard them use it in so many riffs, but I'm never sure what the hell they're referencing. I did the wiki thing, but I'm not quite sure that an animated, German crocodile is what they're talking about.

Haha it really is referencing the German crocodile. In a previous riff for the 3rd Harry Potter movie, Mike starts singing the Schnappy theme song. :D I have no idea WHERE they heard about Schnappy.

I hate it when people think they should only do "bad" movies and go up in arms when they riff "classics". Any movie can be riffed if it takes itself seriously, they even said that themselves.

@kensuke0 I don't think its that people that like the movies take exception to the movies being 'riffed'. I think its more to do with the people that like these films were hoping for the commentary to be side-splitting. I think that the jokes are either too outlandish or too obvious. I would like to hear something inbetween, with more consistency. I know it must be difficult . Its not like you can pause the film to insert your jokes, but that suggests that the format is also a problem
