erm... i think you'll find he did before oasis noel was on tour as a roadie while liam was in a band called rain, when he got back his mum told him liam was in a bad as a singer so noel went down and had a look. he asked him to join his band HE was forming oasis and like the guy says he wanted full control of the creativity rights to the band.
