  • @Piglatinsuperstar YOUR COMMENTS ARE ACCEPTED BUT AND IM NOT TRYING TO CONVINCE YOU BUT ASIDE FROM WHY, WHEN I RETIRED ,TERRY NORRIS WAS AN AMAZING AND TALENTED FIGHTER AND MY DAY IN THE SUN WAS UP AND A YOUNG GREAT FIGHTER MADE ME SEE IT CLEAR AND CAMACHO MADE IT EVEN CLEARER! AS FIGHTERS GET OLDER THOSE PUNCHES REALLY START TO HURT IN THE RING!!!!

  • i dont think manny can do blood tests for religious reasons

  • Who's Leonard fighting at 4:12 ??

I checked boxrec, I can't find this guy who knocked Leonard down.

  • @BoxingFly01 Kevin Howard

  • LEONARD IS THE GREATEST MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION EVER!

  • MMA SUCKS

  • what happen to the crazy ass boxing like this? x((

before it was about being the BEST

nowadays some (not saying all) fights are planned out

  • Sugar ray never ducked or was scared to fight Duran, only if Mayweather had his balls and fought Pacquaio

  • Sugar ray is the greatest ever, but Ayub Kalule could have knocked him down if not for the referee mistake!!

  • fantastic video

  • Hatton???? Are you joking?

  • This brings back the memories of the nervous stomach I had when Ray got in the ring with Benitez, Duran, Hearns, Hagler, etc. I was always afraid of him losing, which would have been tough on me given he was the sports icon of my generation. But he always found a way to make us proud, even if it took him a couple of tries. A true champ!

  • One of the finest welterweights that ever existed.....

  • ONE OF MY FAVS EVE!!!!!

  • He's got the flow of a genius. He's got power and destructible force. He's absolutely one of the greatest fighter in history and dominates anyone in his weight class and only have 3 losses. That goes the same for alot of the greatest in the world. Why Rocky Marciano isn't the greatest is because he hasn't faced other great onces out there while Ali did. This guy is way beyond Mayweather but he's not beyond Manny Paquiao. The difference is Manny will face anyone and will destroy them in his prime

  • 2:15 - what happened to dude? Did he blade or some shit??

  • Comment removed

  • 0:53 is the funniest moment! the guy is getting pummeled like crazy... goes into a full guard... then when it's over he's like... Where did he go? Oh i see him FORWARD!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheArsenalguru Well Floyd started at 130....so in actuality Floyd gained more pounds than Leonard and went as many weightclasses as him. While the 175 was impressive, he took two weightclasses in one fight. That's a Pac move.nSugar Ray is great, don't get me wrong! But don't disregard Floyd so fast. He is an all-time great also.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheArsenalguru How many weight classes did he win championships in though? That is my point. Sugar Ray never competed at 175. Lalonde weighted in below 168. He just put the 175 belt on the line as well. That's like Floyd beating Martinez at 150 and taking his middleweight crown. And please don't tell me Floyd ducked anyone, that's just silly....Cotto and Margarito are Top Rank fighters. Do the math. And everyone with half a brain knows Arum does not want Pac anywhere near Mayweather.

  • @ph1484stop wasting my time, i cant believe i even reduced myself to talk to someone in a comparative discussion about SRL and FMjr. i haven't got the time or the patience to even bother to read your absolute diarrhea of the finger tips. you want to just keep favoriting male porn stars moan, or wwf men in spandex or whatever fucked up shit your into, just leave me out of your bubble.

if i see your name on a comment, ima just discard it without looking, but hey, you do the predictable anyway

  • Whoa Sugar Ray sure knew how to beat ass in this compilation. I wonder just how he got started. If Mohammed Ali was his mentor. Yah think? Just a thought.

  • I so remember when Sugar Ray Leonard had to quit because of an eye injury. He had a detached retina in the early 80's. God he was a Godsend to us. Sugar Ray you were and are the bomb. First he retired then he came back then he retired again. Go Sugar Ray.

  • yep, i dont see any of the current so called pound for pound guys staying with leonard in his prime.. he had the whole package speed stamina good jaw and was a real killer once he hurt you..

  • Manny or Floyd would have lost by now if that to fight Hearns, leonard, pernell whitaker, Donald Curry, Terry Norris, and the list goes on. welterweight division not what it used to be

  • Suger Ray would have fought PacMan twice by now. Floyds a bitch

  • @BoxingInEurope Sugar Ray would of also taken the blood tests by now, Manny is a bitch.

  • What fight is that from at 0:26 where Ray's eye is swollen?

  • @BoxingFly01 That was the fight with Thomas Hearns.

  • @InternationalBoy how is he a bitch

  • @InternationalBoy

No. Sugar Ray Leonard was too smart to fall for cheap little ploys like that. He would NEVER agree to something that would mentally give the other guy the edge. Ray was all about having the mental edge!

He also had enough CLASS to NOT accuse his rivals of using performance enhancement drugs.

    Difference in character:

"I think Marvin Hagler takes roids, he should take my blood test."

    -Floyd

"I've watched Hagler carefully...speed is his weakness, I can beat him."

    -Ray Leonard

  • @BoxingFly01 <---another fake boxing fan who dosent know shit

blood test will mentally give the other guy the edge??? how when they both taking the same test??

  • @BoxingFly01 oh shut up hater

  • Comment removed

  • @BoxingFly01 Floyd has never accused anyone of taking steroids.

  • lol which idiot thinks floyd is better then learnard yah! for beating 39 yr old mosley, 35 year old osca whod just come out of retirement floyd is a great but learnard from jnr welter all the way to beating one of the best middleweights of all time, haglar was a beast ko'd hearns in 3, destroyed undefeated gold medalist magubi, benetez, duran was a beast 71-1!! an. hearns 6 foot.1 at welter undefeated 5 weight world champ and leanord beat them all nt to mentions others in his era

  • Suger Ray looks a little like Floyd Maywheater.

  • Favorite fighter growin up!

  • 49 people who Sugar Ray battered must have seen this video

  • There is one man who beat Sugar Ray Leonard in his prime: Chuck Norris. But Chuck disposed of anyone who saw it or talked about it.....What really happened was dkdl..

  • over 15 rounds very, very few people would beat this guy at 147. he had it all.

  • lols all this people bringing up mayweather listen kids mayweather couldnt hold sugar rays groin guard this man would kill him

  • What an epic song for this even more epic video!!

  • sugar ray up everyone.

  • sugar ray leonard ducked aaron pryor

  • @PDMvidz proberley would have owend pryor if the fought. but pryor was a beast :)

  • @banofee999 pryor would have made leonard fold because leonard couldnt handle conditioned roberto duran in his prime. pryor was more of a dog and fighter than duran. pryor at his prime was hell to stop and leonard knew it. thats why he ducked him.

  • @PDMvidz your right about pryor being hell to stop in the ring. but no the reason he lost the first fight to duran was because he fought flat footed and whent toe to toe with him for 15 rounds when that is not how leonard fights he is like ali he's a dancer a mover so when he fought the first duran fight he lost because he didnt dance. also um pryor was a beast yes but against duran? no pryor was as much of a beast as duran. ring magazines 80 greatest fighters: Duran 5th Pryor 26th. leonard wins

  • @PDMvidz just because ring magazine ranks somebody higher doesnt mean anything. pryor didnt have the opportunity to fight as many big name fighters as duran. mainly because so many fighters ducked him and moved up to higher weights, 1 famous fighter who did it was hearns. pryor could also out box a person in order to get inside and dominate them. pryor and leonard use to sparr against each other and people who saw it said it was all pryor. both were nocked down. pryor-duran would've been great.

  • @PDMvidz I cant convince everyone but I never ducked anyone and there was a preliminary discussions but it just didnt happen and you are right aaron pryor was a beast and my friend

  • @RayLeonard1234 are you the real sugar ray leonard or just some fan?

  • @PDMvidz Pryor was a coke head ....openly admitted he was higher than a kite when he fought and beat Alex Arguello.. Drug induced champion

  • @CrashTestChris coke ruined him but im talking about during the time he was controlling it. if he was high during the aguello fights, it didnt effect him because sho he beat the shit out of him. i would have loved to see leonard vs pryor

  • @PDMvidz No I didnt just ask aaron pryor!!!!

  • right from a non biased point of view i shall break this down for you guys. No one knows for sure who would win floyd or pac (i would like pac to win but all the pacquiao fans give floyd waaaay to much hate) however sugar ray leonard would whup both of them FACT he has whuped like another comment said 4 HALL OF FAIMERS IN THERE PRIMES. and again another comment is right, floyd and pac have not faced half the competition he has. they never have and they never will sorry. :L

  • The best all time p4p king. He didn't fight, he was an artist. Those hands didnt throw punches, those hands were painting. He should've fought in a tuxedo. That elegant he was. Pure class champ.

  • i fucking love this man

  • What is the song?

  • cant get this shit in MMA ....... can u..

  • Love Sugar Ray Leonard...this guy is amazin to watch!

  • y is everyone think this guy could beat pacquiao floyd? hes good dis video but i dont think he could beat those 2

  • @1tracymcgrady1 do your research on who Ray Leonard fought then you'll see why People pick Ray over Floyd and Pac.THose two havent faced half the challenge Ray faced in his short career of 36-3-1.

  • @InternationalBoy i dont need to reasearch i watched all of his fights im not saying he sux he just not on pacquao floyd level

  • @1tracymcgrady1 are you serious? the dude beat 4 hall of famers, in their primes and when they were undefeated. Manny and Floyd havent done half the work he has or fought the type of fighters he has. Leonard Beat, Brawlers, Technichians etc. whens the last time Floyd or manny fought an undefeated fighter with 30KO's 29 by Knock out? When is the last time they even faced a Fighter that has been Undefeated? Smh Ray Leonard is waaaaaaaaay beyond Floyd and Manny in class and ring work

  • @InternationalBoy haha SRL whooped floyd mayweather sr. and would do the same to his son! lol

  • @AbdiXL True Indeed

  • @InternationalBoy Ya Sugar Ray definitley has a better resume. But just so you know Floyd has beaten Diego Corrales who was 33-0 and Ricky Hatton who was 43-0 and both were known as "knockout punchers" yet they got knocked out lol. But ya I put Sugar Ray above Floyd and Manny most definitely. Sugar Ray is right there with Ali, Jones jr, SRR in my opinion. A top 5 p4p all time.... easy.

  • @InternationalBoy I think Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are true all time greats. But Sugar Ray Leonard probably has the greater legacy.

  • @InternationalBoy Hagler was war-torn and came out of retirement to face Sugar Ray, Hearns was 22 years old when he faced Ray, 25, and Ray ducked Hearns when he reach his prime. Duran is basically a Lightweight and he beat a prime Welterweight in Sugar Ray, no-doubt he would lose to Mayweather, Duran lose to Benitez who is a defensive fighter who is not as good as Mayweather or athletically gifted. Stop disrespecting modern greats, Ray even said Mayweather and Pacman could hang with any of them.

  • @username7212345 quit making made up excuses. Ray never ducked hearns. He beat hearns when it counted and Hearns was the one who challenged him. GUess you forgot that Hearns went to the 2nd duran fight and threw a rubber chicken at Ray therefore challenging him and Lost. Ray was out from a detached retna. a big deal back in those days. and He gave Hearns a rematch after hagler. You make no sense. Plus duran beating duran proves the awesomeness of Duran at his peak which was in his 30's.

  • @InternationalBoy Go to 4:30 of this video, bitch!

    watch?v=yz3ivCfGNLo

  • @username7212345 . Yeah that was before he found out how bitch made those two fighters are. Here its been over 2 years and those fags Manny and Floyd havent gotten in the ring to fight each other because of Bullshit excuses. Your two heros are a joke.

  • Comment removed

  • @username7212345

Ray said "like father like son" about Mayweather. Pacman and May are no match to the great 4: Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Leonard

  • @username7212345 Leonard got beat by all 3 in my opinion. Hearns outboxed Leonard twice, in the first fight Hearns exhausted himself trying to go for the late knock out when he could have just sat back and got the decision. And that "draw" years later was just laughable, even Leonard admitted he lost that fight. I had Hagler winning 115-113 (as did the only juddge who didn't have his head up his ass). I watched each round twice before scoring, and Hagler gave away the first 3 rounds showboating.

  • @username7212345 Good to see someone actualty arguing on behalf of the modern greats. I definately think Mayweather has the tools to decision Leonard. Mayweather could match hand speed with Leonard, Leonard was an in and out fighter while Mayweather is a more of a pure counter puncher. The best way to deal with in and out fighters is TIMING, and Floyd has impecable timing. Floyds signiture right hand lead would be there all night because Leonard had a tendacy to keep his left hand low.

  • @DDeCouto

Floyd would be a tough opponent for SRL, no doubt, but the whole point is that SRL was A WAY more exciting to watch than Floyd.

  • @username7212345 Ray Leonard also said that he would beat them

  • @InternationalBoy When floyd fought phillip n'dou, he was 31-1 with 30 KOs. When he fought corales he was undefeated, hatton was undefeated as well.

  • @demontedub phillip no du was no Thomas Hearns, Corales was no Wilfred Benitez Hatton was no Kalule. The competition Ray Leonard Destoyed>Floyds.

  • @InternationalBoy Mayweather put an ass whooping on an undefeated Corrales and Hatton. Put an ass whooping on Judah, easily decisioned De La Hoya who was the bigger man, he outlanded De La Hoya 207 to 122, and landed 43% of his punches to De La Hoya's 21%, put a vicious ass whooping on Gatti in his home town, decisioned Castillo twice with hand problems. and he hasn't lost ever. Floyds resume isn't as good as Leonards but it's definately top 25. If he beats Pacqiauo it's top 15 worthy.

  • @661patrick1 u think he was being serious there? he was just showboating

  • @InternationalBoy u are pathetic 661patrick1 hes right just watch how he punch justin biebier hits harder than her

  • @InternationalBoy beast comeback mate ;)

  • @1tracymcgrady1 pacquiao isnt even on floyds level so sugar woulld fuck him up but sugar and floyd dat would be a good 1

  • @P4DDY2K11 ahahaha nice one everybody knows floyd scared of pacquiao and u saying hes a better fighter than pacquiao u funny kid

  • @1tracymcgrady1 u dont know what the fuck ur talkin about floyds level of boxin is on a completely different planet compared to pacquaios

  • @P4DDY2K11 blah blah blah pacquiaos gunna rape sugar ray if they fight u know it

  • the real pretty boy no floyd maywheather

  • para mi el mejor de todos los tiempos

  • Sugar ray leonard is one of those reasons that makes me proud to be an american. his abilities are inspiring and wonderful. i am very happy to have witnessed his skill. Hopefully, I will be able to thank him in person one day.

  • very quick and very skillful but imo marvin hagler was better than him.

  • What an awesome video!

  • Kid Gavalan is the one who made the bolo punch famous

  • I love speculating All Time Greats vs Current P4P list, but it is just that... Speculation.. Yes Leonard would defeat every top 10 lightweight to middle weight we have to offer in this generation of boxing. His defensive savy, speed and killer insticts trump Pacman, Mayweather and the down the list... One ot the great athletes who got me into the fight game during the '80s.

  • @honorablecbm Are you sure he'd beat them because i think they would give him a run for his money

  • @thamostgangsta12: Heart and soul, I believe it, but it is what it is... Total (at times useless) speculation.

  • Comment removed

  • Many don't like Sugar Ray (fans and of course former opponents). I can agree on a level that he did sway judges on occasion with his "flurries" to win rounds. He of course was not a power puncher but a boxer but his showboating was a bit much at times. Hagler is still bitter about his fight as (I think) he should be. Ray never hurt Hagler at all (it took a lot to hurt Hagler) and won those rounds on the "flurries" and whatever else ;) from the judges

  • @Gossage54 well thats what you call "boxing" you idiot... What you think all boxers suppose to be a slugger? Im 12 and i know more than you about the sport of boxing...

  • jajaj i love the vid and the 80s music, thnxs

  • Leonard vs Pacman would have been a great fight in there prime! But I think Leonard would have slightly beaten pacquiao on points.Very close!!!

  • @Wondermouth1 juan manuel marquez beat paquiao 2 times imagine what leonard would do to pacman

  • anyone here has ha video of sugar ray whopping danny bonaduce?

  • i love the 90s..... i wish i could go back in time and relive again

  • @ajaykeer23939 this was the 80s buddy

  • thumbs up for the overly enthusiastic fan @2:10!

  • ahh i could do that :)

  • 47 people received a Bolo punch

  • who is faster him or pacquiao

  • Sugar Ray Leonard's the one that made the bolo punch famous. I love that bolo punch.

  • @truebeliever786 That punch was invented decades before. I don't think you know what a bolo punch actually is.

  • abslolute fukin legde !

  • damn...sugar ray just admitted he used to let his olympic trainer bone him in the butt....

  • he is still a good looking man

  • Sugar ray, the man! He was so heavly influenced by Bruce Lee.

  • Anyone who thinks Mayweather would beat Sugar Ray Leonard in his prime, does not know boxing at all and are not objective but are partial in judgment based on likes. Mayweather is extreemly skilled as a pure boxer, with speed and great elusive and defensive skills, but Ray had way more power and intent in hits and punches, and great heart.Go watch old fights not at end of his career.Look at his power and mastery of his opponents. Ray was perfect blend of boxer and fighter. He'd hurt Mayweather

  • Ray Charles at 2:55

  • wat the hell was Ray Charles there for?

  • @BrittaneyValentina He was Sugar Ray's namesake and wanted to wish him luck for Duran Vs. Leonard II

  • @BrittaneyValentina lol he could probably feel it!! XD

  • @BrittaneyValentina I think he sang the national anthem or God Bless America before the fight.

  • at 1:44 tht guy has a big Fro

  • people back in the day didnt have chins

  • Bruce Lee must have had an affair with a black woman.

  • @EToastE

    loooooooool

  • @EToastE HAHAHA! That was a good one.

  • @EToastE,

    ROFL!!!

  • @EToastE That's the best comment I've heard in a while, so true about the great SRL,

  • @EToastE xD
