  • If some upnose music theory master with a classic education ever asks me what a synth is and what could it possibly be good for, i can use this clip as a blunt instument.

  • Drums sound so weak..

  • @bentkkkk probably because they're electric, but the main focus is supposed to be on JR.

  • @DustinShaneYounce yeah you're right, just noticed it

  • That guy does a remarkable job at making innovative technology in a novel synth sound like a record from the 1980s... wow. Hilarious.

  • Could've engineered the audio a bit better. The bass is swamping the keyboard and there's 'way too much emphasis on the drums. If they're showcasing the V-Synth GT they are not doing the best job of it.

  • He's just using it as a MIDI controller for his other gear?...

Where's the ingenius creativity that can stem from the GT?

  • He's just using it as a MIDI controller for his other gear?...

  • @WHOTOOKMYNAMEYOUDICK ..no he is playing the leads on it

  • just buy a guitar ...

  • get a d70 for 180 its a bargain!,...hahaha

  • I can play this. Just hit the Demo button. Very very commercial. Cut the check Roland and send Jordan on his way. Don't get me wrong, Jordan's and awesome keyboardist, but it's just so cheesy.

  • SHIT!!!

u should have been sentenced to life for abusing a marvellous sound instrument like this...

  • This shows very well what kind of sutff you can do with the V-synth. And of course, Jordan plays very well! Awesome demo

  • @9JohnSmith9 Jordon is a fine keyboardist. But this video shows his skill, not what the V-Synth can do. A prospective buyer could learn more about the V-Synth watching nearly any other video on youtube or the Roland website.

  • @TomZentra Its true. Some of the sound is pre recorded in a sequencer... It does not totally show that the V-synth can do....

  • jordan é o melhor!!!!

  • i think i enjoyed the arguments below this comment more than this noise going on ...wait!-- [ pauses noise ] more than the noise going up there in the vid interface thingy

ouch! my ears hurt. okay, i tried to be cool but was too busy laughing my ass off at those arguments :p

  • impresionante lo que ese pelado cabeza de glande sin agujero al medio no tiene nombre... es asombroso!!!!

  • You know at age nine he entered the pre-college Juliard music for classical. I'm sure his skills surpass any of ours by far. So unless in some twisted you can do better don't hate on his skills.

  • @joeyjaspers Yea. He plays exactly like a super-talented 9yo Juilliard pre-college dude. How old is he now?

  • GENIO EN TODA LA EXRESION

  • What the fuck, Jarre "live"? He does his usual shredding work and he plays something similar what to we hear, but its pre-recorded. And by the way useless crap. His musical talents are not at all compositional likes. He is just shredding mindlessly over all those garbage schemes. It's a neat synth though.

  • maybe you should search in youtube to watch some of the videos of him playing classical music in piano ....or download one of his piano records...his compositional skills are rather respected...

  • @orestispetrakis Are you kidding? His compositional skills are less than zero. He is a keyboard shredder with a decent Rick Wakeman feel. And with a fine goatee. But hes not a composer, nor a classical performing artist. He is a strog mediocre entertainer with some knowledge on scale run fingerings, that's all.

  • Then you do it. He is.

  • @PaleHearse Um, do what?

  • Put up a video of your own work showing your superior talents. Lay what you are capable of out here for criticism. Ah.. that's what. Not trying to be a prick here, but credit where credit is due. He's the one on stage here.. not you.

I always approach others talents with humility.. even if I feel my own surpass theirs in some regard. Perhaps I'll post some of my work one day.. and have to suffer through my own battery of youtube arm chair critics that have never posted a video. (smiles)

  • @PaleHearse Dude, I am not a stage musician, nor a wannabe viral hit act "the man who plays faster than lightning". Otherwise the artistic value of my work is incompareably superior to keyboard shredding. This sport sucks. By the way it's not just the shredding stuff. Valentina Lisitsa is a shredder, but she rulez. Why? Taste dude, plain musical taste. Taste and education.

  • So put it up and give us a listen.

  • @PaleHearse No way. You'd be disappointed how cool (and superior to shredding) I actually am - and I don't want to spoil your Xmas/Chanuka/Whatsoever.

  • @reallyhatejazz You're fucked in the head if you think that. His solo albums are fucking great. I enjoy them!!

  • @TheDistanceBetween Yeah, it all depends on your taste. Besides we kinda agree, because I think it's crap - and you think it is da shit. But its just an opinion, so don't hate me. The goatee is cool, being bald is cool, shredding is not cool, that's all.

  • He doesn't shred ALL the time. Check out his Keyfest Live DVD. :P

  • @TheDistanceBetween OK, I've checked Silent Mountain. The hairdo is still OK, I've missed the goatee but OK, the overall appearance is cool. But you know what? No surprise. It's more like mountain of clichés. No dramatic changes in key, time, tempo, articulation, dynamics, no catching melodies, no surpising harmonies or chord progressions, no nothing new, original, substantive, personal. Boring, boring, boring stuff. I know silent mountains are not about drama, but must they be THAT boring?

  • Man.... your taste in music must really suck.... I enjoy everything except rap... rap is shit.

I love everything from classical, pop, country to death metal.

  • @TheDistanceBetween I lprefer the art factor to craftsmanship. Jimi Hendrix was an artist, Michael Angelo is not, though technically way superior. Leonard Cohen is 95% art, David Byrne is 69%. Eminem seemed to be a massive 67% with his first two records, but he turned out to be just around 7%. Jordan Rudess performs at a not too flattering 22% level - but he shreds his brains with his 22% artmanship out, instead of trying to evolve. Shame, because he's got... the look :).

  • I just love music. That's all. :P

  • @reallyhatejazz you got turd for brain ....99% of your brain is Sh-t ...and the other 1% is urine .. LOL :-) who cares about what sh-t like you think ?? just another stupid lowlife with not a dime .. but acting like some pro...

  • rudess i love you xD

  • Jordan is WAY talented and this is an awesome performance, but I have some questions. What is going on during the guitar solo in the middle? Is the GT contolling the other Roland via midi? Is the sequencer from the other Roland synth controlling the GT as well? Jordan is not playing everything here, what was programmed? Is the arpeggiator from the GT being used as well? Little help here tech officionados. Thanks.

  • That guitar solo is obviously a recording of a guitar solo...so... I suppose it could have come from the vsynth - it allows the importing of audio.

If this is a vsynth demo, then thats probably the case...

  • that is outstanding.

  • Es excelente pero me gusta mucho mas cuando toca con Korg, suena mejor, mucho mas potente, el Lead en el Vsynth es mas flaco

y viniendo del maestro no creo qe se pueda hacer mejor

  • The boss is jammin!!! killer demo

  • Excelente, que maestro!!!además de virtuoso jamás vi un tecladista que domine tanto su instrumento lo exprime al 100% un verdadero genio!!!!
