InshaAllah bro you are on the path of knowledge already as your heart is open to the truth. The other reason why prophet Zakria become her guardian by the permission of Allah SWT was because she was meant to as a promise to God by her mother before she was born that her child will be in the service for God only and purest woman so she can be the mother of some one like Jesus (peace of God be upon him) and she had to be protected by the prophet of God from evil intention of her other relatives.
