sorry never used the 3000i, is that like the 3000XL? which I have used? contact vinyljunkie (he's on youtube you'll find him) he's an expert on the later akai S series. If you're not talking about sampling your own sounds then you need either floppies with sounds on, or a SCSI lead. once u got sounds - (unlike the s950), the 3000xl can handle more than 1 program, so add a keygroup to a program, select a sample from list on the sample page, set up the 'span' and you're set. but yeah ask vinyljunk

i know im going to make a better video next time, yeah, way too shakey lol. s950 has 8 mono outs, I have a mixer with auxsends (reverb etc). Do the levels from there.

If newer DA converters work with this I must get one if I can some how resample from 24-bit to this through digital. To 12-bit 48khz.

I would have to find one with that special cable that goes from the S950 into some Akai Analogs to be worth it.

And then I bet that would sound as nice as a studio-440 or a Machinedrum with filterbank, but different.
