  • "Still euro trash" awwwww sour grapes

  • as fast as there going it always looks like there landing much slower dosent it

  • @grizzleybearz282004, the a380 due to its wing life can land at 130knots like an a320, ur dead on the money :)

  • This was one hard landing!!

  • they always slam them to the ground....

  • I saw one takeoff at KIAD.

  • 747 is a beautiful classic aircraft but the basic desgin is over 40 years old. A lot has happend in aviation technology since then!

  • @pointy2 the airframe has nothing to do with aviation technology. they still update all the avionics

  • Biggest yes, but not even close to the best...its just such an ugly bloody thing

  • AMERICANS TALK SOME CRAP. SPAM IF YA WANNA

  • Nice job on the video looks good. When you have time come visit my channel!

  • @rarehaendler LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My home town, where I was born and raised; it is good to see it once again via this airbus. I miss very much Queens and Long Island, were I grew-up. Also see on this channel: " Vision of Puerto Rico".

  • i live near the Airbus Airport an i see these scenes every day :-)

  • @rarehaendler here is an link. Its 500 meters away from my home youtube.com/watch?v=0TVzhA0Pt-M

  • Runway?? 31L??

  • lol still euro trash

  • @ckfgymnast

Really pop quiz, From where did the scientist who made the first jets come from? And also where did the scientists, who made the Apollo program possible come from? Well I will help you as much as I wasn't America. And furthermore why do US car manufactures, still keep building cars with 1970'ties suspension technology?

  • @juuls26 i was "lol" at the dudes comment i dont give a shit about all that haha

  • the "eurotrash" remark was entirely gratuitous and all the more surprising coming from an american. Who are , or at least were , always known to be the first to acknowledge , and certainly cheer a winner ; gracefully, too , if if concerned a foreigner. SIC TRANSIT GLORIA !

  • Damn when its on the ground the wings form like the McDonalds M, are they so flexible :)?

  • @MrGiantrucci They are! I was in one of those yesterday and was amazed at their curve in taxi position. But in the air they become completely straight. Amazing plane.

  • @MrGiantrucci thats some material which is extremely light yet extremely stiff

  • looks fake

  • That was a beautiful smooth flying down the runway landing !!!

...pilots know what I'm talking about ;)

  • @riDDDiculous lol agree with ya. I kno

  • Love how the wings droop down at touchdown.

  • @PygoManiac oh yes :-)

  • Always a hard landing... you can notice the bounce on the struts

  • I wonder why they didn't put in any front facing windows for upper cabin, can you imagine what a bar or lounge space that would have created!? I'm sure someone on here will tell me why. As for the looks, just don't know but think the most beautiful looking jets are made in Brazil by Embraer. :-)

  • @pointy2 Actually, I was wondering the same thing. I guess with the delays the plane went through, just getting built and shipped and all, they didn't want to take the extra time.

  • its a great aircraft and burning up to 20% less fuel as well as being very quiet means it will be a success :)

  • I think the A380 is a great looking aeroplane, whether it will be a success or not. The DC10 and Tristar were both good looking aircraft but never matched the Boeing 747 for sales or prestige. I think Airbus took a huge gamble with the A380 and that is to be admired and not looked at in a negative way. Another aspect is that this airliner was developed during the years preceeding 2008 when the economy was good, which is worth taking into account.

  • The ignorance of the eurotrash statement lol

  • The Americans hated Concorde at first too. That soon changed.

  • Flikker op, kutamerikanen!

  • It never ceases to amaze me how incredibly hypocritical Europeans can be.

Someone calls their A380 "Eurotrash" and they flip. Yet, they themselves constantly berate American products.

  • @AgentPepsi1 do we? I think the fact we use all your products says enough about what we think of them - the eurotrash statement is ignorant and I'm a eurosceptic.

  • @Badsellcut

I am not sure at all if the "eurotrash" argument is at all ignorant. Look at some of the responses here. Many from Europeans include curses.

The simple fact remains that the A380, regardless how EDAS spins it, is probably not going to be a profitable aircraft for them as they will not achieve numbers to even break-even on it.

Nor does it lend itself to flying as a freighter due to its underpowered nature in comparison to its size. That is why UPS dropped its options.

  • @AgentPepsi1 Oh come on, get a grip - if you think the guy that made the eurotrash statement weighed up all of your arguments before opening his mouth, then you've both got a lot in common. I agree with your assertion that function follows form with the a380 though

  • @Badsellcut

No, I am sure that that guy was just sounding-off. However, it that any different that so many Europeans here constantly trashing American products, the United States, and U.S. citizens?

I think not - and that is why I posted what I did about sheer hypocrisy.

I too would love to fly in a A380... only because I haven't had the opportunity yet. I have had a ride in an A340-600, which was nice. I do prefer Boeing aircraft as I feel they are generally more comfortable.

  • @AgentPepsi1 I don't see what you're saying. I don't see Europeans berating American products and instead of listening to what people are saying on youtube look at the market - all major European carriers have 747s because they're a great product. Not one American airline has the a380, which I don't really care about but you can't start calling Europeans hypocrites when boeing sales say something else.

  • @Badsellcut

Perhaps you should just read some of the things posted here... By all these people, some of which are 15 and claim to be aviation experts.

Why are US airlines not purchasing the A380? The reason is that the A380 was designed for a very specific routes; routes US carriers generally do not fly. London-Sidney for example. Also, with the new B747-800 coming in with higher efficiency, there will be commonality of parts and training to existing B747-400s.

  • @AgentPepsi1 Wrong, the reason US carriers have not bought them is because they will be buying the dreamliner. The a380 is a long haul aircraft just like the 747 - could be used LA to Europe, LA to Australia - any trip which a 747 or say an a340 would do. Just back down - you know I'm right ;)

  • @Badsellcut

From the aesthetics of this aircraft aside: I looks like a flying brick. The Airbus A340-600 is a beautiful aircraft... the A380 is like Quasimodo. In German (OMG - an American that speaks German??? I also speak French and Russian too) there is a word "gelungen".

The A380 design can definitely not be described as "gelungen". It comes at great cost to the European taxpayer. And yes, the euro-centric WTC has found -AGAINST- EDAS and its practices twice on this matter.

  • @AgentPepsi1

my university is a 100 years older than your United States of America. my country was a kingdom 500 years before America was discovered. so when someone comes along with your junk food and pop culture. and calls this state of the art plane, that represents an idea of braking limits and doing the impossible, eurotrash! Of course we "flip" and consider you a moron.

  • @marinokom

Your point? Do you have one...

Mine is older than yours.. .This is bigger than that...

Do you actually have a point? Probably not.

Then again, your university should consider itself fortunate to have a brain-trust like you within the ranks of its student body. Someone, so intellectually gifted, that they cannot comprehend simple social commentary. Do you actually understand what was written or not?

READ, COMPREHEND, ANALYZE, then (and only then) speak. IN THAT ORDER.

  • So typical of our human species...instead of us all enjoying a wonderful piece of technology regardless of its geo-genesis et al, some immediately commence upon (in this case) a Euro/US my 'cock' is bigger than yours rant! Enjoy the aircraft! Listen to its engines! Its beautiful! It is an engineering marvel...and so is Boeings 787 for that matter! The best aircraft is always the 'next' aircraft designation. Appreciate the vid mob1968. Best wishes.

  • the euro trash is probably the most advanced comercial airplane that exists at the moment!so up yours mother fuckers

  • weird why havnt i ever seen an a380 anywhere in jfk and i live in new york

  • "Still Euro Trash! " > LOL:D

  • @MrWillydoit I'm pretty sure you haven't flown in a a380 to know if the plane ends up half empty-and by the way passengers don't choose what plane model they want to fly on

  • "still Euro trash" UH OH!

  • Euro Trash. LMFAO!!!!!

  • Euro trash what's that ?? nobody knows in france

  • how do you know when its comin?..where do you see the schedules??

  • @CaNxYoUxStoP flightaware com

  • @omar8510 thanks.

  • Perfect Landing

  • Nice plane...comments make me sick though....stop being haters, eurotrash is right! If you hate this country so much, maybe you'd all be kind enough to GTFO!

  • euro cash

  • where are you standing!!! please tell me thanks. Nice video

  • Amazing "relax" of the wings @ 0:46 !

  • ugly plane! would like a ride, but damn its ugly!

  • @Icetitan777 Well, last time I checked, you ride on the INSIDE of the plane. Don't complain about the exterior.

  • @Coastergeekperson04 so you pulled your head out of youass long enough to come up withthat? that plane is ass ugly, and i'll stick to the 777 peckerhead.

  • LOL eurotrash yet the americans love the and worship the A380 nice landing there

  • at the end it isn't eurotrash anymore is it my american friend?

  • that was fucking amazing a380=amazing and in house colors nice

  • les chats et les chiens, il y en na partout

  • @MrWillydoit

    Ok

  • I like the engine sound at 0:35. It sounds so cool!!!! :)

  • Back on topic: This plane looks freakin awesome! : D Nice vid.

  • @ MrWillydoit

    @ Riechode

    Why are you fighting?

  • ok this is to the two people arguing about WW2, he is right WW2 has nothing, and i mean Noting to do with a video of a plane and secondly who are you to judge the UK and the rest of europe, we do enoughh for you as it is , and no it' not military hardware ort fighting but you wouldn't know any better becasue violence is all you live for you sick fuck!

  • go get a life

  • people like willy are the reason I'm ashamed to live in the USA.... Nice video, The a380 is such a beast.

I think people need to stop arguing over boeing or airbus. They produce both quality airliners. On the airbus side, I love the a380 and a346, on boeing, the B773 is awesome and the B748i will be very cool.

  • Willy, congratulations for dragging down the average IQ on youtube to the single digits. And you talk about ignorance? Great stuff. Go on, continue comparing sales of the A380 vs 787 if you find that valid and it helps your inferiority complex. But I suggest you just stick with watching the cartoon network and quit making a fool out of yourself - and your country.

  • @MrWillydoit, What a very inconsiderate comment you bellend, WW2 has NOTHING to do with this and you are discusting to make such a comparison

Furthermore, I think that you are unaware of how much you have restricted Blighty, especially in the technology aspects, and how much we have given to you in return for nothing.

We all know about the war, it was a global effort to save europe, not just Britain

    Go get a life

  • @ MrWillydoit

    @ Riechode

    Why are you fighting?

  • You make me sick! all you are doing is displaying to the world what mentality Americans hold

America shat on the European and British aviation industry by coppying many of our designs (trident and 727, Bell X-1 and Miles M-52) the list is long, plus banning concorde from america untill production had finished, which detured all potential buyers, not to mention countless other instances: Thanks a bunch

  • where did u spot from?

  • @MrWillydoit she isn't quiet?

Sure... only the quietest cabin in the skys. Infact one review I read said that the cabin was too quiet and people were have troubles sleeping with the ambient noise on the cabin from passengers, toilets flushing, conversations etc. My response to that would be to utilise the noise cancelling headphones that every passenger on A380 has access to.

I'm guessing you hate A380 because it wasnt made in the good 'ol U.S of A.

Time to get over it Willy..

  • Try a google search for "passenger reviews of the A380".

Most people agree that the A380 is better than anything else flying in service at the moment.

If you are trying to insult me about the Cook Islands, I dont get it. I do have Cook Island blood but I dont live there. But I also have Irish, German and Maori blood too.

Also I am hardly short at 6ft 1. So what is your point.

You've got nothing left to say lol.

    How sad and pathetic

  • This is Lufthansa flight 8940 from Frankfurt.

  • @MrWillydoit yes that's you a TROLL

  • @MrWillydoit yea I probably do sound like a kid who likes his new toy. Nothing wrong in that.

    Boys like their toys!

But if all you can do is insult me...well I think your actions speak for themselves really....troll.

  • Who cares Willy A380 is better.

She a real thing of beauty.

  • because it is fking great !

  • An Airbus A380 with Aribus logos painted on it landed at Logan International Airport on Monday to gate testing, so there is a possibility this aircraft will be coming to Boston. I think it will be for Lufthansa or British Airways.

  • you will probably find that since its inception airbus probably has outsold boeing however you're all stupid because you are sure as hell not going to cancel a flight because the equipment is made by either of the manufacturers that you don't like

  • It's amazing to see what mankind can build. This is simply amazing. I love this bird.

  • i was there for the 1st landing of the airbus....this isnt the 1st landing at jfk....it was beautiful to see hat plane flying just 3 stories over our heads....most amazing thing ever to see....

  • i live in NY. where do u get tht footage from. i would like to go there

  • MrWillydoit - hahaha u seem to have bigger experiences with wing designes than entire Airbus engineering team. Lemme laugh xD "Old" design...... Boeing PWNED xD

  • If you want me to accept the supposed american superiority, for me it is ok: american engines are the best. U happy now? Do you want to push a pure technical/business discussion in a USA vs Europe contest? Anyway, as I have already told you, the problem with A380 are its innovative specs: the 748 is a totally different a/c: you can't compare 748 and A380 even because Airbus has just begun production of the A388 HGW with improved specs...

  • MrWilly, I just want to remind you that the 748 is just and "expanded version" of the venerable 747... So you can't say it is a new a/c as the A380 is. Moreover, the 748 has a higher commonality to the 747 tha the A380 has with other Airbus a/c, that why it has outsold the A380, not for any new design or whatever. The nominal range for the A380 is more than 9000NM with IAE engines, much more than the standard range of the 748... Just give it time to show its potential! ;)

  • lol of course its fat.... u cant seat more ppl into smaller space, thats ilogical ^___^

  • Lol I love listening to the Boeing fanboys on the radios. If this was a Boeing plane, they would be praising it to no end and boasting how they have the biggest commercial plane in the world and how Airbust couldn't dream of having something like it.

  • It seems so fat though...

  • The A380 is cool and all but I hav a strong feeling that it's gonna fail just like the Concorde did. From what I heard it was built to acomadate the gates but the runways have to be rebuilt to hold it's weight. But it's still a cool plane I'd love the oppertunity to pilot one or even just to fly in one as a passenger.

  • @stephqaz for ur info No runways have to be changed to hold it any runway hold 747can hold the A380 airbus simply put more wheels so runways not to be rebuild

    this is from wikipedia BTW

  • @stephqaz Wrong. The A380 does not have a higher landing gear footprint than the 747 and uses no more runway. The aircraft these days with the biggest landing gear footprint is the 777-300ER.

  • What destination was it coming from?

  • Is that the wings settling I see at :44?

  • Euro Trash Uh Oh??

Sort your Fucking Plastic 787 out first before making comments like that!

Commentator = Wanker who clearly isn't a true lover of aviation, if he makes comments like that !

  • As far as I know, only stat Spruce Goose wins at is its wingspan, 97.5 meters, in the rest others (Antonov AN-225, Airbus A380 and Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental (although it's in development it appears in the comparison)) beat it. There's only one tie, which is height. (Both A380 and H-4 24.1 meters. Correct me if I'm wrong though! :)

Comparison can be found in Wikipedia, Spanish article about A380.

And back ontopic, very neat video, 5* \o

  • Since I know how you big you Americans are on size, i'd like to congratulate you for having the second largest airliner in the world :-)

  • no.

the largest was the spruce goose.

but many consider the AN-225 Mirya as the largest aircraft based on maximum takeoff weight. the a380 comes in on 3rd.

unless someone else comes in the race.

  • Why is everyone here bending facts?

  • check out its safety record dude, youll be fooled

  • How did oyu get so close to the runway

  • boeing has been around since 1917

and airbus has been since 1970

  • ahhhh geeez WHAT CAN"T HEAR U NOW I"M #%@$# DEAF!!! man that had to be loud!!

  • That airplane is amazing. I like both Airbus and Boeing and I don't know who's better. They are very good. I'd like to travel in an A380.

  • airbus is way better then boeing 10 x .

  • Just curious, how did you come to this conclusion.

  • its been proven , performence with the flying , u gotta remember boeing is old and have stop making many of it fleet years ago and airbus really came out in the year 2000 so many of their stuff are modern i mean the controls are subsonic something boeing aircrafts dont have .

  • You have no clue what your talking about. Boeing has a more sophisticated flight deck than Airbus and when you say Boeing is old, you mean more experienced right? What do you mean by "The Controls are subsonic?" That makes no sense what so ever. And frankly, Boeing has more ingenuity than Airbus proved by the coming B-787. So, I believe that the golden rule of engineering aircraft is the Simpler the Better. And Boeing has followed that law producing Aircraft since their start in 1917.

  • which coming 787 lol , damn ur so late , boeing cancel the 787 due to them going broke so they cant finish the project and no airlines is seem interested on buying the 787 since they are loosing money themselves ppl are traveling less and less . airbus is the only company makin somewhat of a revnue these days .

  • Ok...First, where are you getting your facts from? I personally know an engineer who's working on the project and they're still going strong at it. Also, Boeing has about 18 different airlines worldwide lining up to get a 787. So, you have no clue what you're talking about. LOL.

  • that fact i got it from boeing i think its was the CEO , he did a press conference . so someone is telling us lie but u know what i think my fact is right because look around u beavis , were in a economy crisis planes ticket i use to buy for 50 € ( for europe ) roundtrip are now 232 € , so with prices like these who's gonna travel . and as no one travellin like before so the airlines loosing alot of money so much that british airways asked it pilots to work 1 month free .

  • That's why Boeing is still developing the 787. It will be the most cost per mile efficient airliner in the market after it is sold to many companies. People will always fly. Airbus made the wrong move with the A380. Companies such as Singapore Airlines are losing money through their ears with the costs of maintaining and fueling that beast. In the end, your still wrong.

  • yeah lest just see how far the 787 will go , same thing with the A380 many airliners pre odered it but then cancel thats y only singapore airlines and emirates flying them now but with only 2 of em . talk is talk but where's the actions for the 787 the U.S barely have any money to feed its own citizen now but they gonna be able to finish the 787 oh plz , u dont even have to be an economist to figure that out and the 787 biggest consumer would be europeans and we are runnin out of money .

  • um last time I checked QF had them too but there are many more airlines who are getting deliveries those are the only ones that have gotten them, do some research before you post.

  • I just want to remind you that the A380 is 20% more fuel efficient than its direct competitor, the 747 in every its variant. And we're just talking about fuel efficenciy, not about the fact that the A380 carries 35% more pax than the 747-400 and 20% more than the future 747-800

  • What's your source?

  • @GlobeMasterLover No point reminding the brickwall that MrWillydoit is.

But stats are stats and the A380 has already proven itself in service much to the dislike of MrWillydoit and other such naysayers who would love to see the demise and end of the A380 project..

  • @GlobeMasterLover ya the 747-400 is over 20 years old and the 747-8 is the new 1

  • Actually A350 will be more efficient than 787 and will also corner the 777 market.

  • the A350 will not touch either the 787 or the 777, Airbus isn't the same company it was when it made the A300

  • Airbus just got smashed by the WTO for getting money they weren't supposed to be receiving. So wtf are you talking about?

That fine will seriously damper Airbus' profit.

  • Damien, The 787 was not cancelled, delayed yes but not cancelled. It is scheduled to fly by the end of this calendar year(2009).

  • You sure spend a lot of time watching A380 video clips for someone who hates Airbus.

  • I watch them because I'm interested in how Airbus thinks the future of Aviation is heading.

  • Umm... Airbus came out in the late 70's with the A300.

Ted Stevens was right in this case when he said this:

THE INTERNET IS A SERIES OF TUBES!!!

These tubes must be where the idiots get their info from.

  • Boeing has less overall accidents that are not pilot error

  • AMERICANS be like: CRASH MOTHER****** crAAA ssHH!!!!!!!!!!

  • vrgo84 you wouldnt be saying that if you were on their boi, you would be more like ''Mumy mumy, come help me, im sh!ting my pants''...

  • if it isn't a boeing, i ain't going :)

  • same here

  • I bet the boeing guys are saying "How are we going to make a bigger plane!!"

  • the american comments on here are ridiculous and very stupid... im american and the ignorance amazes me at times, boeing have safe planes, airbus have safe planes, airbus is innovative and boeing is considered to be a pioneer company. this plane is amazing because of its size but i do believe that when the 787 comes out it will be a force to reckon with, lets see what airbus does with the a350 when its ready. i wont discuss detail with flight simulator idiots on here.

  • Yes, the best plans and cars came from europe.

    Thanks.

    Warum ist das so ?

Weil wir noch ein bissel mehr können, als nur unsere Muttersprache !

    Danke

  • hahaha !! are you serious?? you must be drunk!

  • Ohhh I'm so american... Look at me, I only fly Boeing because they're american! They're safer just because they're american... I don't have a clue wtf I'm talking about but I bet I'm right!!! Damn foreigner cars, planes, machines...

Jeez... It's unbelievable we still have to take this load of crap in the XXI century

  • another anglo-french success........just like with the concorde 40 years ago......technology and design forefronters

  • yes just like the concord...that crashed and was grounded forever...

  • up yours

  • hi ....

  • t'est trop con et jaloux car l'airbus A380 est meilleur que boeing.

  • c'est toi le con!! airbus a dejà prouvé que sur 20 ANS ses avion sont des cercueil volants !! alors la ferme!!

  • Is that the Sesame Street Big Bird?

  • wicked!
