.. if it was ice, its bad for piercing because it tightens the skin and makes the needle harder to go through. i wouldn't recommend it.

I just did mine earlier today and it really wasn't bad...I tried to numb it with Ice but then just decided to heat it with a warm rag and it went right through didn't hurt at all

Ive pierced a few things, and i found that orajel, the tooth pain numb thingies, work really well to numb the surface, and ice to numb the inside is good. i think im going to try my septum in a little bit, just gotta find a ring! haha
