@boogaludo Little-Ann eventually known as Tina Turner (her first recording ever was the Tune Town version... she was living in Saint Louis at that time... and they recorded that in East Saint Louis).
78s were being pressed in America until at least 1960 in very limited numbers. I have verified the existance of a Bill Haley 78 released in 1960. Late 78s were mainly pressed for juke boxes and low income markets because a lot of people didn't switch to newer 45/33 rpm equipment. A few collectors have theorized about 78s being pressed until early '62. Google "late 78s" and some interesting stuff pops up. Kama Sutra, Candlelight and Lost Nite pressed limited juke box 78s in the 70s
By the way.. Chess1458 is my buddy Mike. He's got one of the greatest collections I've ever seen. If it exists on 78 this guy will find it. He's got some damn good 45s as well.
Both versions of this are great!! Thanks for sharing them!

What is the difference to the ''BOXTOP'' issued on Tune Town 501?
The Tune Town version credits Ike Turner, Carlson Oliver & Little Ann.
The flip side is ''Calypso Love Song''

Along with Buster Brown's 'Fannie Mae' this must be one of the last 78s issued in the States. In India they actually ireleased 78s by The Beatles.

Very cool... Candlelight didn't press many of those. Any Candlelight 78s are very rare.
