Rewriting history happens alot. For example, the Japanese print out textbooks that leaves out the invasion of Korea and even the US textbooks only gives few sentences to the invasion. FYI, Invasion of Korea by Japan is equivalent to Invasion of Poland by Germany in terms of begining of the WWII.

You can't look at casualties and say,"durr, russia has highest number killed sooo, they did the best".So many soviets died because they were poorly equipped and poorly led in the beginning.The only reason there were later successes on the eastern front was because of large numbers and American supplies. During the war, Poland remained the 4th largest contributor of armed forces and saw action on every European front.

Rewriting history happens alot. For example, the Japanese print out textbooks that leaves out the invasion of Korea and even the US textbooks only gives few sentences to the invasion. FYI, Invasion of Korea by Japan is equivalent to Invasion of Poland by Germany in terms of begining of the WWII.

That story is pure bullshit to make the russians look better, and less like greedy bastards they are. I am not for presence polish army in Afghanistan and Iraq ( and 80% people in Poland think like me). This is mistake. And this is govermantal decision. But If Poland should apologize for Iraq and Afghanistan so Russia should do the same and other countries too( don't forget USSR has done the same in 1979 - 1989 years)

The real beginning of World War II is Munich Agreement of 1938. Agreement among German fascists, France, Britain, and Italy permitting annexation of Czechoslovakia's Sudetenland.

Czechoslovakia's Zaolzie to divide Czechoslovakia even more!

Poland was granted independence after the WW1. Poland had been divided among Russia, Germany, Austria-Hungary before WW1. Poland had a lot of German population in the West and Russian, Belorussian population in the East. So why can't we have polish territory with Russian-Belorussian population if you think you can divide Czechoslovakia that has polish population?

LOL! Poles were deported to lagry in Soviet Union working as slaves. Home Army was put into prison and their soldiers were executed after fake trials. POW were shot in Katyn, Kozielsk, Ostaszkow, Starobielsk. High officials were put to prison or executed during the trial of the sixteen. After war there was a fake people's referendum. We had Red Army tanks till 1993.
Well indeed, what a great country it was under the Soviet!

1) My father had to work 15 years to buy Fiat 125p. After 1989 till now he had 2 cars (two Toyotas) and now owns two cars (Honda, Nissan Patrol)
2) The country was so poor under the Soviet occupation, that money had no real value. There never ever anything in the shop besides the toilet paper and vinegar. The monthly ration of meat for me, as a child was 0,5 kg.
3) Now I earn enough money, to live alone.

@nirbija Looking to history we see that BOTH Germany and Russia invaded Poland. Russia has never been apologetic or even concerned with Poland except in considering how Poland can be used for Russian gain. It is almost funny, the idea that Poland should thank Russia.
It is interesting to watch Russians whine because their little empire collapsed, brought to its knees by what one little Polish union (Solidarity) started. (and yes I know it is more complex than just that) .
