Lycia are one of my favourites. "Wake" in particular, such a special album.. This is truly the soundtrack for a spiritual journey. Makes me fall asleep and wake somewhere else... Terrific.
@Amortisxx cocteau twins, dead can dance, perhaps some current 93 and some other more obscure bands from the eighties and nineties. the genre is known as ethereal or ethereal wave and is an offspring of early goth. you migght try cranes aswell although they where much more heavy in the beginning
