I am going to LSE this year for Finance. Seriously, what is the big deal? There are books, instructors and students - just like everywhere else. There may have been a time when information was a limited resource, but not anymore. The internet has given people the ability to find all the information you need to be whatever you want to be. LSE does not suck, but it all comes down to how much a student puts into the program. The reason why LSE looks so good is because they recruit students w
@lokrenzo Not to sound like an arse, but you probably will not get in. LSE has the best of the best students. It is actually the most selective school in the world. People with average marks do not get into LSE. Getting into the graduate program is even harder than the undergraduate program. They only want stellar students in their graduate programs. However, I firmly believe it is a waste of your time anyways. School in general sucks. People who do well in school are boring.
@woundedtiger40 I am applying to university this year, and I am applying to Oxford PPE and LSE for BSc Economics. What course did you apply for at Oxford and why did you reject it?
... Does LSE include primitive investor-based market barter practicesof Capitalism as "economics".
... Does LSE include the government-based slavery of Socialism as "economics"?
... Or does LSE limit the definition of "Economics" to a SYSTEM of Scientific Labor Exchange performed to satisfy the long-term orders placed by consumers in a civilized society?
... For a full definition, view the classic YouTube videos, "The Great Pyramid, why was it built - Lesson 1c”.
See the video called Tom Martin sues LSE's Gender Institute for the other side of the story.
