I absolutely enjoyed the 2 songs that David Cook performed and I loved it so much, and I thought his voice on both of the songs was absolutely brilliant and outstanding. David Cook you're simply the best ever.

It's not good enough to be a great singer. You have to be willing to show you're fearless and versatile. Archie couldn't do that. He was obviously talented vocally, but he was like every other pop artist that has one hit record and fades into obscurity because their marketing and songwriting sucks.

All I Really Need is You and The World I Know are my absolute favorite songs DC did and they are the reason he won. He puts so much emotion into a song and changes them up for the better. He has such an amazing voice too!

He is original, talented, handsome, smart, the whole package. Please, everyone vote. There is no one like him, actually no one close. Actually, as much as David C deserves to win, I hope he doens't.  The winner will have to have whatever dopey song wins that writing contest and I know that will not be even close to what David C is as an artist. The winner's "package" is much more suited for little David A and his fans.

Good point! He seems to be able to pull a rabbit out of his hat as far as adapting songs to his style, week after week, so he could do it with the winning song too.

did all the finalists sing the same song when they win the show?

The final 2 contestants have to sing the same song-an original written for finale, with no regard for who they are or what their typeof music is. They sing 3 songs in the finale and that is one of them, then the winner is obligated to make that song their first single. Starting last year, the song is chosen by a contest on the Idol website. I haven't checked them outm but from what others who have have said it is the usual dribble-the kind of stuff David A sings.....

I agree, he has talent but Idol represents the more novice but talented performer. I don't think that Paula should make such comments like he already has it won? Let's hope that someone wins who deserves the extra umph that Idol gives. David C will have his fame and fortune with what he has already set up for himself.

Once again David shines. By tonight's performances, he and Syesha shoulld be in the final. I hope I'm not the only person who felt like gagging when David A sung "We're comming to America"-It was a very Kristi Lee moment for him.....Ok, I don't want to bash the poor kid but David C is just so much more interesting a performer-he could make an album of all his songs and it would be awesome. Love, love love the guy.
