Prayers for Bobby is the best LGBT movie I've seen that deals with the religious aspect. I would put it in my top 5 movies I've ever watched and I've seen A LOT of movies.
and if u want some movies, i could tell u a couple of great movies.. (LGBT of course)
the number one would be SHORTBUS. IT'S THE MOST AWESOME-EST FILM. TRUST ME. another funny one would be A FOUR LETTER WORD (and yes that's the title..) then some others would be quite, ok...
*another gay movie* *shelter* ..... well i've forgotten the others.. but those are kinda ok.. :P hope u enjoy these. :)
Do you think it must have been bareback on Brokeback because they were probably not planning to have sex when they went up to the mountain? Or do cowboys (who are really sheepboys) carry condoms everywhere they go? Nah.
Why don't you just go ahead and say "having sex" or some such expression?
umk, need to see: Shelter, Unconditional Love (youll lyao), A home at the end of the World(book's also good), wild reeds (french). so many more good gay movies exist.
You're voice is amazing and you're really attractive :). Anyways I respect your opinion on Eating Out. If I really think about it I only like those movies (1,2, and 3) because of the gay comedy. But when I'm in a mood for a good movie No Night is Too Long, Save Me, or Fighting Tommy Riley are fantastic films
Beautiful Thing, Get Real, Maurice, Wilde (British films... Brits do it better :P) and Edge of Seventeen (American film) are my favourite LGBT themed films! <3
I read the short story that inspired Brokeback Mountain and I really loved it. I haven't seen the film, but the book was very powerful and gave me a lot to think about. If you have any free time I would recommend trying to find a copy of it.
I remember when my Mom saw Brokeback Mountain before I came out to her. her review of it was basically "it was cute, but there was this one tent scene that was rather offensive to me" can't believe she even watched that >.<
I've seen both movies and they are complete opposites on the spectrum. I watched "Brokeback Mountian" for the first time at the movie theater with my partner. We had never seen a "gay" movie at the theater before and we were a little nervous about it. We even went to another town so we wouldn't be spotted. Just before the movie started a woman sat down and leaned over to us and said "Don't be making out during the movie". I was so freaked out I couldn't enjoy the movie. The woman was rude. 8-(<3
This video was hilarious! Your expressions were priceless. But yeah, lots of good ones out there. Beautiful Thing, Shelter, Latter Days, Watercolors. A couple fairly decent movies, funny too, would be Tru Loved, Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green. Also try Judas Kiss and Patrik 1.5.
Did it take a while for anyone else to realize eating out was the name of a movie... I thought he watched brokeback mountain and then went to go get some food before he filmed.
Best British LGBT film is shank. It is set in Bristol or Bath or some where around that area. Production quality is fair to middleing but the story more than makes up for it.
Off the top of my head, I'm assuming you're in the UK...right? Then find, rent, and watch "A Beautiful Thing" and "Get Real." Both are amazing UK gay movies.
The first Eating Out movie was very low budget and cheesy. I think you'll like the second one. They made 2 more after that, which are really good too. I agree with the second top commenter who said that Shelter is the best gay-themed movie. Sooooo good! And, as others have said, Prayers for Bobby is good too.
@natacha430 I was debating mentioning Rent in my vid... decided against it. But possibly one of my favourite musicals, got both the film & the broadway stage version on DVD xD
wow you guys seam to need a gay history class... Yes there is a LOT of bad gay cinama out there, but all so some amazing movies. I sugest you watch BEAUTIFUL THING this is a great comming out an love story.
The struggle to be articulate or coherent is entertaining to me. I haven't seen the 1 & 2 Eating out vids. I watched Eating Out: All You Can Eat, definitely a B movie but cutesy, funny, sweet, great one-liners, 7/10. Shelter 9/10, is the kind of movie I'd like to see a lot more of made. Would like to see a sequel. Latter Days is good to, 8/10. Good Brit. movies Get Real, The History Boys, Beautiful Thing pop to mind first though of course there are others. Wolfe Video or TLA for LGBT movies.
WELL there once were two cowboys out alo-o-one on the trail And the-e-yy ♪ discovered they could sleep with another male, now they're having gay sex! ♫ Cowboy gay sex. ♪♫ Sodomy-heeee! Sodomy-eeee! Sodomy-eee-e-e! Sodomy-heeee! ♫ Sodomy. And that is why I love family guy. I've never seen either movie, but I find the idea of gay cowboys UTTER-ly (eh?) hilarious. But that's just me. MOOving on, I thought this video was great! It was really SPUR-of-the-moment. ;D
Your opening reminded me of one of my favourite scenes from the 1952 "The Importance of Being Earnest". "Ripeness can be trusted. Young women are green. I spoke horticulturally. My metaphor was drawn from fruits." Could Wilde write anything which was not ultimately gay-themed?
@Rainbowsend09 OSCAR WILDE IS MY FAVOURITE AUTHOR. I LOVE YOU. I prefer 'A woman of no important' over 'The Importance of Being Earnest', as the latter seems very trivial and farse.
Isn't the term you were searching for "ram raiding" or "sheep shagging?" In the US those terms are probably acceptable. Not sure about the UK, though I suspect not. "Brokeback Mtn" is a good but sad movie, by the way, and "Latter Days," "Shelter" and "Beautiful Thing" are great. So is "Christopher and His Kind." "You Shoud Meet My Son" is really funny and cute. You should enjoy any of these. Nice Channel. Keep it up!
@MrIIDannyII Seen it. Lol. I think that was my first LGBT movie. I couldn't watch Brokeback because I knew it would be sad, and I'm not good with sadness. (After watching BBM, I cried for like at least...a good 1 hour.)
