  • Foarte frumos

  • If you like Chillout music please check out my mix in the video responses, it also contains some awesome pictures from frozen planet. X

  • I am waiting for its launching. Excited. (0:34) wonderful image!

  • superrr

  • plz can any tell me which sound track is used

  • what is that thing at 0:44 ?

  • The DVD and Blu-Ray releases will be available - in the USA - April 17, 2012.

Note: the commercial release of "Frozen Planet" is all-Attenborough - and Baldwin-free.

The original six episode with the not-fit-to-be-seen in the US final episode in which Attenborough says the planet is getting . . . warmer! How DARE he challenge established business models with facts?! The rotter!

Global warming: so controversial even Alec Baldwin wasn't allowed to mention it!

  • hahaha the star fish are just freaking out 0:20

  • HELP GET KONY IN 2012

    youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc

  • screw the british

  • @jackdog12888 Because we do it better! hahah!

  • If only I could find the music for the discovery channel version of the trailer.

  • @ChinaMo I definitely agree I loved the blue planet documentaries with his voice.

Here in the US though celebrities always seem to get stuff like this even though they have no experience in it.

  • fucking narwhal...

  • @lefan23 really only natural documentaries the only stupid one I see here is you.

  • I agree with u chinamo

  • I think there are only two people in the world who could replace David Attenborough and be anywhere near his awesomeness: Richard Attenborough, or Morgan Freeman. That's it. I cannot imagine anyone else being able to convey the beauty, awe, wonder, humor, and danger inherent in the dynamics of nature than these three people. Nothing wrong with Alec, he just can't do the same kind of thing that David does so perfectly...

  • Wtf ? 0:19-0:22

  • Oh my god, narwhals.

  • Narwhal....

  • What is the weird animal on second 42-43????

  • The music is by 2 steps from hell ~

I ordered from Amazon ( pre release and it is Attenborough )

  • Two steps from hell, " the music being played in this" has been used that many times now on various commercials and tv programmes in the uk. Even i used it in my video, it is excellent composing

  • It just shows the degree of stupidity of audiences in US. Everything is dumbed down, everything natural documentaries.

Sir David Attenborough with more than 50 years of experience in natural history is obviously too much to handle for US televisions. Or maybe it's because he speaks English and not American.

  • Das Einzige was Amerika macht, was Positiv ist und die ganze Welt erfreut, ihr Filme und DOkus!

  • @MegaTiger22 My goodness man, this document is british - hence the 'BBC'.

  • thumbs up if you see SwAg in the url.

  • can anyone explain what it is that is freezing

the ground around the starfishes at 0.20 ?

  • @HummingFishSticks I believe its called a brinicle or a ice stalactite.Theres wiki page about them.

  • @SirKnobofCheese It's also called Lord Voldemort

  • 0:42 <3

  • Comment removed

  • when would the show come out? i mean when would the first episode air?

  • EXCELENT WUNDERSCHÖNE ARBEIT!

  • Did you guys see the narwhal at 0:42!?

  • I'm proud to say I knew the song before I saw this trailer!

  • @Yogee30 wow, if we ever met I would so want to go to bed with you for that... :-|

  • Sir David Attenborough and BBC equals magic. can't wait to see it on blu ray

  • Absolutly amazing documentry series, and this advert is simply brilliant!.

Whilst i dont like paying for a TV licence, documentrys like this make it completly worthwhile!.

  • Well I am always amazed seeing biologists filmmakers filming e.g. starving icebearsIt brakes my heart,is it so difficult to save the animal in question? They could just have fed the starving icebear with a surplus of other animals in the area prevent it from starving but no...they have to keep the so called natural balance... they are forgetting we humans are the cause of global warming so it is up to us to find new ways in helping the ice bear survive e.g.feed them in early spring!Open IBRescue

  • This is so vivid that this media creation surpasses ordinary vision.

  • This is beautiful!!!

  • @0nlydreamers HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW WHAT A NARWHAL IS?

  • @EPICATMAN BECAUSE THE HORN ON ITS NOSE MAKES IT STANDS OUT... JUST LIKE YOUR CAPS MESSAGE!

  • watched this in HD and jizzed in my pants :0

  • Fucking spiffing username

  • Holy mother of god *glasses down

  • They have footage of a freaking NARWAHL!! Did you see it?

  • Frozen Planet, Planet Earth etc. show us not only the wonder of our world, but the wonderful aspect of human nature - our inexhaustable curiosity - David Attenborough and the many crew members who helped produce these marvels are nothing short of heroes.

  • Can't wait for this to come out in the US.

  • Two steps from hell <333333

    i love the video btw!

  • Well, of course Alec Baldwin is no David Attenborough, but if an American voice is what this country needs to watch the documentary I think it's a much better choice than Sigourney Weaver or Oprah Winfrey. This could be avoided if people just watched the damn original version without complaining about the foreign narration..

  • Bbc at its best!!!!! Watched it all every Wednesday....the only time i watch tv.....bbc makes the best documentaries in the world....way better then American ones...(i don't like watching discovery channel anymore.....too much reality tv and explosions......nothing educational) and no one can replace Sir David Attentborough

  • The power of British documentaries! I love it! an excellent series with amazing camera work. Well done Attenborough for being an excellent presenter!

  • BBC wins again. Its great to have all this footage now, before its all gone.

  • This series was of a High Standard, truly magnificent, the film, photography, narration, motion capture. Its too good to miss.

  • Frozen Planet is like one huge mint advert.

  • BBC makes epic docs and david att will always be the best presenter

  • Because Alec Baldwin will say things in American like WHOA! A group of killer whales the gangsta's of the sea, let's watch them leave this seal to sleep with the fishes.

Things that David cannot say basically.

  • watched the final episode last night (wednesday) have to say it is one of the greatest and most magnificant documentaries i have seen to date, well done BBC and of course to the great Sir David Attenborough

  • ~epic~

  • Wasn't sure if I wanted to see this, saw the Narwhal. Now I'm sure.

  • Alec BALDWIN will be narrating the US broadcast? What the Hell? It's not like Attenborough's got an annoying, impenetrable Brit accent or anything. This is like, well, like replacing narration by David Attenborough with narration by Alec Baldwin. No thanks, Discovery Channel. I'll wait for the (commercial-free) Blu-ray discs to come out. If I have to order them from the UK. I will.

Alec Baldwin = David Attenborough? No. The math just doesn't support the hypothesis.

  • @TheStockwell This is only on the US version, which is not uncommon. Sigourney Weaver replaced him for "Planet Earth" and Oprah Winfrey for "Life". I'm not advocating it, because Attenborough has the clout, experience, and a tremendous voice, but it's nothing new and it's not as though his narrated version won't be available here in the States.

At the very least, they're using someone who won't speak in monotone or like a kindergarten teacher. Alec Baldwin has a great voice.

  • @NeroBlack2200 The good is that, true to a goofy American "tradition," Attenborough's vocal stunt double, in this case Mr. Alec Baldwin, will only be heard in the broadcast version, the one which omits the cautionary final episode that sums up things. The DVD and Blu-ray releases will be pure Attenborough. So, I'll skip the censored - and commercial-saturated - broadcast and buy the home release when it becomes available. I am a fan of Baldwin but Attenborough is Attenborough.

  • @TheStockwell Even though I like the choice in using Baldwin's voice, I'll probably be skipping the broadcast and waiting for the Blu-Ray just the same.

  • @TheStockwell Really?!!?!?!? US gets Alec fuckin BALDWIN?????

Thank god I live in New Zealand!

  • @lefan23 Yeah. Lucky us. It's like replacing a Mahler symphony with the cool jazz sounds of Chet Baker. I like Baker, but give me a break; Alec Baldwin is SO "talent du jour."

New Zealand. Wonderful place to be . . .

  • omfg omfg omfg i have to watch this

  • Lost planet o/

  • I sometimes think the master plan is to grab all the natural resources, suck as much money out of the public as they can, allow their greedy industries to change the planet's climate so that we are starved, droughted, flooded, hurricaned and cancered into depopulation so they can pick up the pieces afterwards and be the kings of the world. So who are going to be the slaves they choose to survive to serve them in this brave new world? I'd personally rather be dead.

  • watch?v=1Fshnu_SwAg

  • Thanks so much for this wonderful series. I feel grateful for those lucky few who were able to go to these places and film things I would never have had the privilege of seeing ever in my life. You bring them to my home and let me know what an incredible planet we live on, and how delicate the balance is now that humans have taken over most of it and pushed out nature and pushed us all to the brink of extinction.

  • if anyone knows the name of the epic music that plays during this trailer please can they tell me!!

  • Is this the theme music from PILLARS OF THE EARTH ? its very similar

  • the music is from harry potter :) what's it called?

  • Censored in the USA, thanks corporate media.

  • @Haryel1987 at least get your english grammar correct before you insult me. it should go Don't be an idiot.

  • Nature documentaries keeps getting more and more astonishing, the music is lovely and the presence of a certain sir just makes it all complete!! Can't wait to see it.

  • wot song is it

  • @BBPbuddha Two Steps From Hell - Heart of Courage

  • I CANNOT wait for this. BBC with discovery channel can do NO wrong.

  • @DeannaJBeltran accept censor this from American's. The last episode the one with ALL of the facts on the subject of Global Warming will be censored from American eyes thanks to politicians and the 1% controlling the media. Thanks corporate media for making America the least informed country AGAIN.

  • @the1tigglet They'll do anything for corporate money. They don't care if it's killing the wildlife and killing us.They just want the profit and they'll kill any story that shows the truth.I really don't understand their thinking since it will make the planet uninhabitable for themselves inspite of all their money.Unless they're hoping most people will die off from starvation, disease and natural disasters while they stay safe in their underground bunkers so they can have the planet to themselves.

  • @the1tigglet Apparently (According to Wiki) America is (currently) going to show the 7th episode too... With Attenborough as narrator. Having just seen it, I have to say, it's amazing, and also tragic and terrifying.

  • Oh my God! That was so beautiful. Perfect music to the video.

  • Autobots! Transform and ROLLOUT!

  • I'm having goosebumps! so thrilling!

  • 00:19 - 00:23. Omg, epic ice freeze

  • @SirKnobofCheese BBC Shop has it coming out on December 8, 2011 - Pre-order now. Wikipedia states it will be out on region B and 2. Hope that helps?
