He never went down. To be honest Bonjasky knocked him out aswell, 2 years ago. I think whats most improved is his defence and counter punches, being able to absorb a punch is also to see it coming.

@10Point03Fighter93 The only belt Overeem does not have on his wall is the UFC heavyweight belt. He already got the K-1 WGP, the Strikforce belt, the dream Belt. My guess is that the next logical step in his career is the UFC heavy weight belt. And he is relatively young only 31 years.

Velasquez is a good striker, but his striking doesn't even compare to Overeem's.

@StrangeDeimos Well Overeem didnt fight the two most dangerous men in GP which in my oppinion are Semmy and Badr Hari... They might have KO Reem... But I do agree that Reem has got much better since he moved from LHW to HW and I believe his durability has increased due to the fact he has gained alot of muschels around his neck so he can absorb more damage without being KO.... Therefore I see him as the number 3 HW in the world. Brock will test him but Cain and JDS are 1 and 2....

@grimmjowi Overeem fought Badr Hari two times, Knocked Hari out in one fight, lost the other on a standing tko, which was a bit of a doubtfull descision from the ref if I remember correctly. He never went down. To be honest Bonjasky knocked him out aswell, 2 years ago. I think whats most improved is his defence and counter punches, being able to absorb a punch is also to see it coming.

@StrangeDeimos The win Overeem had over Badr Hari was lame because it was short ime after Badr Hari lost via DQ to Bonjasky and he didnt look mentaly ready for that fight in my oppinion... He destroyed Bonjasky completely in that fight and still lost via DQ he is a badboy nobody can take that from him and I heard rumors his gonna prepare Brock Lesnar for his upcomming fight against Reem... :D

I like Lesnar and want to see him do good but if he loses his next fight I think Dana will cut him if he doesn't retire. Brock reminds me a lot of the old school UFC fighter: Dan Severn. If you watch old tape of him, you'll see that he (also) was a fantastic wrestler but didn't know how to throw or take a punch,
