its only a half double leg swing, he swings at the start and then picks up/tucks because doing a full double leg swing is extremely hard. Watch bubka and see that his left leg swings right up until it meets the pole, thats a full swing, try doing that with two legs and it slows the vault down tremendously. In the end Lukyanenko is a great athlete and vaults a variation between tuck and shoot style to petrov model. He pikes in the middle alot like hooker to hit the right posi
yeah, that swing reminds me of hooker a lot - and i'd say that those two are prolly the best in the world right now, so nothing wrong with it really :P

U dnt really need to much knee drive...i think hooker shoed us that much. As long as you swing hard and row through ur good to go

although the knee drive may be the difference between hooker and bubka...
perhaps it couldve gotten him the 6.16 jump in boston, but he was still pretty dang close
