I´m from Brazil and for me is very difficult understand English. Where could I find your tips about "dragging the rear brake whilst accelerating" in a text?
Hi, firstly a question...isn't "dragging the rear brake whilst accelerating on dirt" the same as accelerating more delicately anyway (but less chance of getting the rear brake balance wrong) ? Great comment about looking ahead, I call it "lifting your head up"..and I can tell you're a very experienced rider. Was a pleasure riding with you. Thanks. Russ
@RoadcraftNottingham First of all, thank you for your comments. Accelerating more carefully can't match the control and lower chance of loosing control as dragging the rear brake in these conditions. It not only keeps the rear wheel from spinning up, the physics of it all keeps the bike lined up in one direction - you can even feel this when you do it. Try It! (great question)
Just please next time advice to avoid or reduce the speed on slippery areas. Especially when using on road tires. (has less grip when there is a sand or small rocks)
Great video, Mr. Bill. I like that you give an honest opinion about the motorcycle products you test. I'm new to motorcycling and would like your thoughts about three bikes that I 'm interested in buying. They are: Kawasaki klr650, Versys, and the Suzuki V-Strom 650. I would be riding mostly on paved roads.
@879doogie Like all these bikes. For street only I'd choose the V-Strom 650. It's a easy to ride, do everything well street bike - way under rated. Would choose the Versys over the KLR for street. I've heard nothing but good on this bike. The KLR is better for doing more exploring. MVR
@02wheels Thank You! Comments have said they like the riding tips. Nobody has told me to "Shut Up and Ride" yet. Good to know how viewers feel - thanks. Bill MVR
Nice video Bill. There's few you produce I don't. Just curious, what boots do you use on the GS? Ive been using Pilot Roads/Pilot Road 2's since the GS never touches anything apart from a dusty trail, or soggy road if you're in the UK, and they are fab. Be interested in your view of them if you've used them.
@MrEunuch I use the Tour Master Solution boots we reviewed here most. The problem is on the Adventure with the sharp off-road pegs. They can hurt while standing on the pegs. I have started using the the Joe Rocket Sonic boot because it's more like an off-road boot without going all the way. For off-road it has worked very well. MVR
@SpottedSharks Then you'll want to watch part two. Thanks, this is what we need and want to hear from viewers. I would say comments lead towards wanting comments and tips. Thanks! MVR
Bill, great job on the video. I am dealing with a foot of snow right now, so your video came in real handy to remind me of what it will be like in just a few months. And I think having you comment while you ride makes the video more interesting.
@bikenutt1000 Thanks, nothing more beautiful than trails lined with snow - even at night. Thanks also for telling us you like the comments - it's what I need to hear and know from our GREAT viewers. Bill MVR

@noflyzonnn I would almost state that as street tires have no traction over sand and rocks.
