  • In last part of the film , the tune gone ''who am i'' , something like that , can anyone tell me what is that song ?

p.s. part after GIA , croseti , and felton talking...

  • @RE1206 The former - an artefact of using handheld 16mm in the way that this show always did (and gave it the most faithful "documentary" look of any police procedural before or since in the process). NYPD Blue tried the same thing but it always looked forced - Homicide's camera work always looked very natural. They stopped doing the repeated shots (the other trademark of the show camera and edit-wise) after season 4 though.

  • This scene breaks my heart every time - Bayliss commits the perfect murder, can't live with the guilt and wants his old partner to bring him in. Frank realises that quitting over Bayliss's shooting (true - despite what he tells Bayliss about not wanting to hear another confession) robbed his old partner of the rational anchor he provided and set him on the path to this moment.

Giardello gone, Gaffney Captain, Frank and Tim are no more - not so much a "downer" ending as "apocalyptic".

  • @turricaned Totally, if anybody should've been shot it should've been Gaffney, that wold be a great way to end the movie instead.

  • @RE1206 I don't think Bayliss would have been dumb enough to use his service weapon to kill Ryland - plenty of untraceable street weapons in the evidence locker, some of them modified. Put it back afterwards and no murder police will ever look there.

  • 6:00 Is the Judge's name Devilbiss!

  • Wow - Worst cut-off on youtube - check out the other scenes....But thanks for posting - one of the best moments of American Television...

  • I hope someone can explain this. In earlier comments in this movie's 8 parts, at least two people say that Giardello dies. The Wiki page for Gee says that he dies of an aneurism and sees Adena Watson and is playing cards with Felton and Crosetti. Yet in this final part at 3:30, Danvers says that the shooter is facing two counts of ATTEMPTED murder for Gee and the Dr he shot. and no where after that can I find the scene showing him with Felton and Crosetti. Were there 2 versions made?

  • @condor1087 YT keeps taking the versions down of Gee when he sees Adena Watson and is playing cards with Felton and Crosetti. Mr. James is facing to counts of "ATTEMPTED murder", because Gee is still living when we see Danvers talking about the charges. The show ends with Gee meeting up with Felton & Crosetti who had passed on in previous seasons of Homicide. YT or EMI will not allow it to stay here.

  • @PlayIt4MeAgainSam That was Adena Watson? I thought when he went in that he was flashing back to when he was a young cop and his daughter was a child.

  • @condor1087

Yeah I thought there must of been two versions but turns out that the Youtube version has cut the end. Either try and get a copy or download the full movie it as the ending is good and finishes everything off.

  • I just noticed a gaff in this show. Early in the episode, they say that a .44 slug was picked out of the guy Bayliss killed. Bayliss is shown shooting a GLOCK. GLOCK doesn't make any guns in .44 caliber.

  • Mr.Jame the man who shot Al Giardello is Eamonn Walker, he played Kareem Said in HBO Oz, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje played Simon Adebibi also acted Oz, if u look close you will see more charecters from Oz.

  • The black actor, who shot Lt. Geodello is Eamonn Walker -OZ, Othello, Tears of The Sun, Blood & Bones, The Messenger, Cadilloc Records, and now he's on NBC's Kings, as Rev.Samuels.

  • the black actor that played mr james who shot geodello and was also in the oz programme ..is not adibisi!!!!

  • Mr. James' character is so sad. The whole situation was a lose-lose.

  • @BeautyU2U Actor Eamonn Walker's character in the TV show "OZ", 'Kareem Said', was the exact opposite of "Mr. James". He's really a very good actor in these shows.

  • bayliss popped a proton.

  • OMG, Baylis..... o.o

  • ha ha big adibisi smoked dello! great flick, many thanks.

  • wow, Tim Bayliss really did lose his mind
