This sounds awesome. I have been trying to play this peice out of grade 5 RCM guitar series book. I have had very little classical guitar instuction and so have been playing this entire peice using free stroke. How do you know when to use rest stroke vs. free stroke in a piece like this? thanks again
thefligg, thanks for listening. I think the trend is to not use rest stroke at all. (I guess I'm "old school".) Get a good teacher if you can. I wasted a lot of time before I got lessons.
This is absolutely close to perfection. Tone, dynamics with superb voice muting.
Only part where it could be clearer is at 0:58 during diminised chords the middle voice is made of a 1/16th and a 1/8 note against a dotted 1/8 and a 1/16th on top and a quarter at bass voice. Otherwise this is perfect and best version by far on Youtube.
Nicely done!! I'm learning this piece for school!! Sounds great.

Also, at bar 33 beat 2. the D# over F. the feel with which you play that is beautiful. i did not hear it like that at all. great sense of time

I guess you can tell I like that note, too. Check out "augmented sixth chord" in wiki. Thanks again.
