  • your not even cutting the grass. whats the point

  • This thing is fast! my grandpa got one for frree and gave it to me and it halls ass.

  • To those who are having the starting issue with their mowers: The problem is lost voltage due to corrosion built up in the old wiring and contacts. If you go to a JD dealer or parts depot, ask if they have the starter relay kit for older mowers. Basicly, its a relay or two and a wire harness that goes in with your exsisting starter solenoid. It makes up for the lost voltage due to the old wiring. 10 min. to install and you're good to go.

  • we have stx46 14 or 15 years old great tractor

  • I'm not a big fan of the new Craftsman tractors but if you go with a gt5000 or a professional line tractor you will have a pretty solid machine.

I'd also recommend Simplicities, but old tractors are really hard to beat! They were so much more heavy duty and can do a lot more than any new tractor. Just my opinion though.

  • i have a stx46 never had eney probloms planning ob buying a new cfraftman gt500 or some other new tractor do you think good idea

  • Like the STX38's. Do you ever have trouble starting it, with the solenoid just clicking 'til it catches?

  • I have an stx38 that has that problem! I noticed that if you flicker the mower deck switch a few times it will catch! Other then that its an awsome little mowing machine!

  • yea, i had to hotwire mine, but when i do, it automatically engages the differential, so its hazardus. how can i fix it?
