Dont be calling people names ,, you just might be needing him or me or someone like us covering your back if FEMA pulls off this police action on ALL of us .. I think you need to give someone an apology . CHEERS !!!!
hey @ellihermandu ,,,, Why are you calling Mr Nascar a scum ??? Just because he says he's an athiest ?? Hey man , I'm CHEROKEE and I believe in the GREAT SPIRIT !!! I think maybe YOU need to walk a few miles in MY moccasins and in MrNascars shoes also , When you get to the end of OUR combined roads , you JUST MIGHT come away with a totally different point of view . I could scare you to death with horror stories of what our government is planning to do to every one of us today !! part 2 coming
The ffacts are that the importance of Religion as far as popular music both Country and Contemporary R&B and Rock was relegated to that of substantive irrelevance already in the early 1950's with the ascendancy of Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. This doesn't mean that these two great singers didn't believe in God. It just means that the public had relegated God to a position of Figurehead Monarch by its acceptance of music that made God's involvment secondary to the human experience.
love this song i would like to dedicate this out to all our family member's that have gone on out to all the Hairy Chin-Iron Shield-Brown Otter-Little voice-Littles-and Black tounge Familys we miss you dearly !!! Until we all meet again!!!

Will The Circle Be Unbroken - The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band [Long Beach, California] - 1972 - "AMG Pick. ...this was the first real country album that a lot of rock listeners under the age of 30 ever heard. Thus, it opened up pathways and dialogue in all directions, across several generations and cultural barriers;" - Dirt, Silver & Gold [Import UK] (Beat Goes On) [Disc 2]-2003. NOTE: Only get the BGO to get the BEST sounding version. ALSO I'm an atheist but can still appreciate this song. :-)
@mikekadas I don't know what else to say except, you have excellent taste in traditional music. This is a great song, and it never gets old. God Bless! oops!
I love this.. and I co-sign with Mr Nascar I am also Jewish and LOVE IT... I am also a city boy born and raised.. it just touches the heart listening to it
@msuperboy I am New Age / free thinker and you won't get me into the Xian fold, but I love all the hill billy, rocka billy, dixie, bluegrass, cotton pickin' anything from blues to Beethoven to kirtans/chanting, 'cos fine toe tapping music crosses all racial and religious barriers.
@ellihermandur Listen to the chorus and hear, "Theres a better, home awaiting, in the sky Lord, in the sky." Thats talking about heaven. I love this song too.
Buy the CD on this by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band! One of the greatest albums ever, as the NGDB managed to gather together so many of the still-living pioneers of country and bluegrass together. Earl Scruggs was at the peak of his career at the time and really shined. This particular song is sung by "Mother" Maybelle Carter on that album and it ain't nearly as upbeat as these guys are singing it!
What year is this video from? Who is that at 0:18 singing? It's sure quite a party with all the different people as that's one of my real big live favorite performances as that's what you'd call party our jackets off!
Wonderful song! Thanks for sharing.

Music belongs to God so if an atheist enjoys the music ...so be it. Thats how the
Holy Spirit draws all mankind. The love of God is no respecter of persons. But how
could one not feel the spirit in this song??

"Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna
On a cold and cloudy day
Vasudeva Nityananda
To carry my mother away" etc
Let nobody get strung out over lyrics
It's easy to leave out the Lord Jesus, Krsna or Jehova, et al,
and relish in the spirit of mankind.
