I can't do that pattern that fast, your slow is my fast. when fingering on the a string to the e is 4 2 1 2 1 4, I can play your fast as my fast. Needless to say, good instructional video..5 stars.

hmmm i'id practice more on the down sweeping, (up picking) It's really nice ascending but descending all you can hear is the top note and the bottom note, it's like you skipped all the tones inbetween....

Eh. I did not learn anything really and it definitely wasn't a real sweeping instructional but I guess it taught that riff well. I do have one question though, how long did that take to get up to speed, or rather your first sweep?

Oh well, glad you thought it taught well. It took about a full year to master sweep picking (it wasn't mastered in this video) and these sweeps took about a day to put together.

That's pretty good, I've been playing for roughly 2 and a half years. I've just recently started trying to learn to sweep and I gotta say it's pretty difficult. How long in an estimation did it take you to get it down pretty good? Maybe in hours?

To get to the point I am at now (I can do practically every sweep picking techinique known)... it took me the better part of an entire year (and thats practicing daily for several hours).

I can't sweep for crap. As far as non-signed, non-famous guitarists go, you're a God. Your technique honestly reminds me a lot of Jason Becker's, which is definitely, definitely a good thing.
