@Gahgantu Mentioning missing arms and legs is far beyond nitpicking, and for $250 each of those "few flaws" should be pointed out. We're not going to just say the figure is awesome because Hot Toys makes cool stuff, we're going to point out what we think people should know before they buy it. Our opinion stands, that the new Preds may look more accurate, but the older Preds are more complete and dynamic figures, we own them all. Don't watch our video's if you can't handle our opinion.

@2009CLK I saw that video but it is hard to validate the differences shown because the lighting and angle are different. Overall we had some complaints about the figure but weren't disappointed enough to consider selling it. Luckily you were able to sell it since you didn't want it. -Wendy
i love this channel!!! i am getting this soon and cant wait. i agree on alot ur sayin but i do think adding the mandibles in the bio helped them to make the overall mask a little smaller than the P1 which i think helps alot in scale to the body, but ur right im sure it took alot of extra time and $ lol. Great review! I had the P1 and I bought the classic. I think it is better than P1. The bio mask didn´t stay well attached in P1's head and now in the classic it´s better. Besides, the classic looks stronger because it has new articulation joints. Wendy, you are so gorgeous! A beautiful brunette!
@geoclaudiomendes We've never had issues with the P1 bio staying on, then again we don't mess with them much after we put them in our cabinet. Everyone likes something different, that's the beauty of collecting. We will always prefer the intricacy and complexity of the old Hot toys model kit Predators over the new action figure Preds, but that's just us. The new one do look more aggressive though. wow, you're pretty hard on this guy. I am a fairly new collector ( started in 2010 I think) and I do not have the P1 pred. Prices for him on ebay were insane and I personally felt that his paint job and body type were off the mark. When I saw this guy I knew he wasn't original pred but paint and body type techniques were light years closer to the P1 versions so I jumped on him not having owned ANY pred figs.
@Newman8881 Well this one isn't actually a P1 although it is called classic Predator. I think someone did collectors a dis-service by mis-naming this guy "Classic", because he is a different Predator all together. I really think Hot Toys or whoever called it, should have picked a different name. Oh yeah, this newer Pred actually is a lot closer in design and manufacturing to the 1/4 Neca, actually much more similar from articulation to materials. Thanx for watching and commenting. Peace, Jay

Hi Wendy! Since I lost my orig Predator when I had to sell my 1:6 collection yrs ago (adults do what we must), I was happy to get another 'Classic'. But I, too, was confused when the box read: from Predators. In re: to your dislikes, agreed, but I can live with it. I don't like the holo attachments but like the features. Articulation loss DOES suck & I'll have to redesign my custom base but for now I did a repaint, customed their base & made accessories. But I LUV him! Another great vid! ~ Ms. E

We can pretty much always find at least a few good things to say, as well as areas that we think are flawed, or could use improvement, no matter the collectible. We tend to be especially critical with high end/cost pieces. Sometimes Jason and I disagree, therefore we know we're being honest and impartial. We are very happy with the new Pred, but we'll always have our favorites. Do you name all your Predator's? that's cool.

Best Costume: Sparrow-the elaborate nature of it is just sickness. Best likeness-Reeve Superman-masterful. Best female, don't know if it falls into this year, but Black Widow (ScarJo) was a underrated figure. Iconic figure: Again-Reeve Superman... who did not want that for ages? Figure of the year: Sorry, but I have to go with Rainman's Alex DeLarge. Best wardrobe, sculpt & accesories. No love for customs? Way better than production pieces. That figure rainman did is FIYAHHHH. Read our comments.

@samarchermedia I'm not sure, since we never actually got paid by Youtube. We started allowing their advertisements on our show but shortly after we decided that it wasn't what we wanted, so we discontinued it. We're not really sure of their guidelines at all. @MISTAHUNG Hey, I'm really the one who's nit-picking about the new Pred. Wendy's pretty cool with it. I just make her voice my opinion about the issues, because I'm such a fan and I expect to be very happy if not blown away for the current prices. It's a good figure, I'm just really an old-school HT pred fan and the new one's are styled so differently. There's pro's and con's for each. You'll probably love it. This year for me when buying doubles, 1 from hong kong 1 from sideshow, the u.s versions always seem to have issues with quality and have less paint apps. My supes, batman etc. from sideshow had issues while the h.k ones didnt. Looking at your pred, it has far less quills and color on the head than mine from h.k. Have you guys noticed or experienced this as well? I will be getting a sideshow version as well but it seems that they will look different. Thought it should be mentioned?
@Roscoe0583 Hmm I never noticed that. We rarely have quality issues with our Sideshow pieces and haven't noticed the paint differences. Do a comparison video if you can. This figure looks pretty sweet , unfortunately I missed out on the first movie series collection so I'm playing catchup ( which sucks financially but the way things are going we're gonna be pissing out about 3 bills / figure anyways right !?! ). Pretty cool review Wendy, but i'll have to disagree with you a little on this figure. Classic Pred is a beast. Hands down, this a superb looking Pred. Great paint, sculpt, design and an ultra cool hollographic feature, how can you not like that.

@HotChixCoolToyReview Right,we can agree and disagree sometimes. Opinions can differ, i have heard a lot of people say this is the best Predator ever, and you guys have your opinion as well. I know you two chose not to get the Spider-man figure, which is your choice, however i don't think you'll wanna do that with the Black Suit Spider-Man, that figure looks way too sick to pass up. @delfra70 Wendy doesn't have anywhere near the issues I have with the new Pred. I'm the picky one. The only Pred I really like from the recent releases is the Guardian, and that's because he's old style. As far as Spidey goes, I'm not a fan either. We have both Medicom Spideys, which we only paid $100 for the set, and we like the way they are in scale to the other superheroe figures. The Hot Toys Spideys are too big IMO. Maybe Wendy will want the Black-Spidey for the headsculpt. Peace, Jay
@HotChixCoolToyReview Hot Toys figures are a little bigger, but they're also more overall true to scale size.to each his own, but Hot Toys Black Spidey looks like it blows Medicoms way out the water. I do like the Guardian Pred, he also has a unique looking bio mask. $100 for your Spidey set, that's a great deal i must admit, you can't beat that. You have to admit that the Peter Parker headaculpt and Sandman base is pretty damn sick though. With so many figures, you probally have to be picky.
@delfra70 Wendy may be interested in the Spidey for the headsculpt, but for me nah. I'm not into the character and especially not the films. I'm into the Horror/Sci-fi stuff. Everything else is dependent on whether I think it will retain or increase in value. Superheroes are pretty much last in line for me with the exception of Reeve and Keaton. I only own the newer TDK stuff because it is so well made, I really have no sentimental value for it. The Ironman stuff is really cool though. Peace, J.

@delfra70 No we don't have the Godfather. We almost aquired him in a trade, but it didn't work out for us. We have a limit as to what we'll pay or trade for certain pieces and we weren't prepared to give up what the other party wanted. Not that they we're being unreasonable or anything, we just don't ever get rid of what we pick up, unless it's a double. We are truly collector's, and we can't just flip our figures to get the latest ones we wan't. We either can afford it or we'll pass. Peace, Jay

I told myself i would spend $350-$450 tops for The Godfather, i got it for $405+$25 shipping for $430 total, that was within the range i was willing to pay. I got Kaneda's 1/6 scale bike for $450 total, the cowling and decal set will complete it. I think i got a pretty good deal on both pieces. Looking forward to your 2011 awards show,
@delfra70 Yeah, that's about the going rate for the GF I guess. We've just never spent that much on a figure, and other pieces are currently much more important to us as well. I'd still really like to get him though. We paid $545 for the Kaneda and Bike combo shipped. It's my favorite set ever, until Keaton and the Batmobile arrive. We have the Tumbler and the TDK Batman figures, and while they're exceptional pieces, they just don't have any nostalgic value to us. Peace, Jay and Wendy :)
@HotChixCoolToyReview Well actually The Godfather's average on Ebay is close to $600 and $1100 on amazon. If you can find a good deal on Godfather go after it, he's too iconic of a figure not to have if you can, he'll be worth even more in the future, i guarantee it. I agree with you on Kaneda's Bike, what a masterpiece. I also think the '89 Batmobile might very well top it, be prepared to spend more than you ever have on a 1/6 scale piece, because you'll have to. I will as well when i get it.
@delfra70 Hi! It shouldn't be too long now until I get my Classic Predator; maybe Wednesday or Thursday. I agree with you about it being a great figure. I'll admit that at first I thought it was odd how Hot Toys glued the mandibles onto the mask. Now I think it's great as the mask is held on so much better. You get a couple of pairs of extra mandibles with it anyway.
@KooldaKat Hello, yeah you're right about the Claasic Pred mask. I think it was a great move by Hot Toys to put Mandibles inside the mask. I'm still yet to put the mask on or pull the tab on the hallogram light up feature, i will soon. I'm glad you're Predator will be in soon. I got a King Leonidas off ebay this weekend, it should be in within a week, can't wait for that. Next up, '89 Batman. Assuming the '89 Batmobile won't be out for a while, i might preorder the Tumbler.

I'll preorder Joker & Iron Monger next month, and hopefully the Tumbler & Sam Flynn Light Cycle in March. Yeah, i unfortunantly had to cancel the Mark 5 & Cap, but i will get them both soon. It's good Enterbay has their licensed pieces as well, Hot Toys has so much anyway, and counting. @KooldaKat Yes, all the Preds are ugly indeed, but they're beautifully designed, sculpted and detailed. I got King leonidas in yesterday, and let me tell you, this is a beast. he's solid and heavier than other Hot Toys obviously due to the full rubber body. Hot Toys perfectly designed this figure, with no elbow and knee joints showing. I think i got a really good deal on him. MJ Beat It & DX Jack are great figures to have, that's for sure. If you can, get DX Bruce Lee, there's good deals on him.

MJ Thriller for me is like DX Bruce Lee for you, i'm getting it, i just don't know when. Leonidas is a great piece indeed, i've always loved the Gladiator/Spartan look, i'm a 300 fan, and it's a superb piece, those are the main reasons i got it. It looks like you and i are pacing ourselves trying to make it back to the road of 1/6 scale recovery, haha. @KooldaKat I think you can go to Sideshow, just try their website, they usually give you 2-4 months of flexpay, it depends on the item and price. @KooldaKat Hey, i have a Facebook account as well, and i'm always on Hot Toys page, which i have'nt been on for 3-4 days, so i gotta check it out tonight. Like i said, anytime i can help you in anyway, i will. I got my DX '89 Batman in tonight, and it's an absolute beast, i love the design, material, sculpt and articulation, it's a winner. @delfra70 Cool! Congrats on your Batman DX! He comes with two heads, doesn't he? You can really see that he's Michael Keaton, even though he's wearing a mask! Hot Toys have really did well with this figure. The only complaints I've read about him on the Facebook page was the fact he has a yellowy belt, not a gold one. I keep meaning to spend longer on their Facebook page, but I'm addicted to the game Castleville at the moment. Ha ha! Good luck with what you've got your eye on. Bye 'til Monday.

They included the mandibles to keep it proportioned. If they didnt we would be complaining that the mask was too big again, if they kept the sculpt the same on the bios without them it would also stretch and fall off. The gauntlet had to be like that to house the light feature, no room for it otherwise, i like it and was a must for me with this fig. Cool review!
@Roscoe0583 I am not sure that they needed to do that to keep it proportioned. Maybe to make the first sculpt but still not clear why they are glued into the final product. We were happy with the bio masks on the older predators. I understand that they needed the room for the hologram effect but we weren't happy to lose an arm for it. @derby1980toysfigure There are tons of people who wanted to use the bio for their P1 figure which won't work now. We are always going to point out the good and the bad and will be more prone to nitpick the pricier the figure. This figure cost a bit more than the P1 and we were dissapointed with a few things. I sold my P1 to get this and Jack Sparrow and dont regret it one bit. This figure does a much better job of being the P1 in my honest opinion. If you own this figure, I really see no point in owning the P1 really. Sure, P1 is still a great figure and comes with a lot of nice things and has great articulation, but when you just compare the two side by side, this new one blows it away and thats what I care about most.
I am glad that HTs made the bio the way it is too. Makes perfect sense to me.
@SkemeKOS Well trading one for too can seem like a good move. We would miss our P1 even though we have this guy. @Gahgantu Mentioning missing arms and legs is far beyond nitpicking, and for $250 each of those "few flaws" should be pointed out. We're not going to just say the figure is awesome because Hot Toys makes cool stuff, we're going to point out what we think people should know before they buy it. Our opinion stands, that the new Preds may look more accurate, but the older Preds are more complete and dynamic figures, we own them all. Don't watch our video's if you can't handle our opinion.

Great review! I had the P1 and I bought the classic. I think it is better than P1. The bio mask didn´t stay well attached in P1's head and now in the classic it´s better. Besides, the classic looks stronger because it has new articulation joints. Wendy, you are so gorgeous! A beautiful brunette!

@geoclaudiomendes We've never had issues with the P1 bio staying on, then again we don't mess with them much after we put them in our cabinet. Everyone likes something different, that's the beauty of collecting. We will always prefer the intricacy and complexity of the old Hot toys model kit Predators over the new action figure Preds, but that's just us. The new one do look more aggressive though. If a sculpt is off, nothing helps.
HT Predator sculpts are maximally mediocre, why collect something like this ?
Figures/statues should represent the Movies as much as possible, especially for a such high price.Not the case when i look at the HT Predators.
Face-sculpts with little resemblance, childish looking bodys.
The HT classic Predator have a 13 years old girl's body
Arms are too bulky and legs are too short and skinny

wow, you're pretty hard on this guy. I am a fairly new collector ( started in 2010 I think) and I do not have the P1 pred. Prices for him on ebay were insane and I personally felt that his paint job and body type were off the mark. When I saw this guy I knew he wasn't original pred but paint and body type techniques were light years closer to the P1 versions so I jumped on him not having owned ANY pred figs.

I think someone did collectors a dis-service by mis-naming this guy "Classic", because he is a different Predator all together. I really think Hot Toys or whoever called it, should have picked a different name. Hi Wendy! Since I lost my orig Predator when I had to sell my 1:6 collection yrs ago (adults do what we must), I was happy to get another 'Classic'. But I, too, was confused when the box read: from Predators. In re: to your dislikes, agreed, but I can live with it. I don't like the holo attachments but like the features. Articulation loss DOES suck & I'll have to redesign my custom base but for now I did a repaint, customed their base & made accessories. But I LUV him! Another great vid! ~ Ms. E

We can pretty much always find at least a few good things to say, as well as areas that we think are flawed, or could use improvement, no matter the collectible. We tend to be especially critical with high end/cost pieces. Sometimes Jason and I disagree, therefore we know we're being honest and impartial. Best Costume: Sparrow-the elaborate nature of it is just sickness. Best likeness-Reeve Superman-masterful. Best female, don't know if it falls into this year, but Black Widow (ScarJo) was a underrated figure. Iconic figure: Again-Reeve Superman... who did not want that for ages? Figure of the year: Sorry, but I have to go with Rainman's Alex DeLarge. Best wardrobe, sculpt & accesories. No love for customs? Way better than production pieces. That figure rainman did is FIYAHHHH. Read our comments.

This year for me when buying doubles, 1 from hong kong 1 from sideshow, the u.s versions always seem to have issues with quality and have less paint apps. My supes, batman etc. from sideshow had issues while the h.k ones didnt. Looking at your pred, it has far less quills and color on the head than mine from h.k. Have you guys noticed or experienced this as well? I will be getting a sideshow version as well but it seems that they will look different. Thought it should be mentioned?

This figure looks pretty sweet , unfortunately I missed out on the first movie series collection so I'm playing catchup ( which sucks financially but the way things are going we're gonna be pissing out about 3 bills / figure anyways right !?! ). Pretty cool review Wendy, but i'll have to disagree with you a little on this figure. Classic Pred is a beast. Hands down, this a superb looking Pred. Great paint, sculpt, design and an ultra cool hollographic feature, how can you not like that.

I know you two chose not to get the Spider-man figure, which is your choice, however i don't think you'll wanna do that with the Black Suit Spider-Man, that figure looks way too sick to pass up. @delfra70 Wendy doesn't have anywhere near the issues I have with the new Pred. I'm the picky one. The only Pred I really like from the recent releases is the Guardian, and that's because he's old style. As far as Spidey goes, I'm not a fan either. We have both Medicom Spideys, which we only paid $100 for the set, and we like the way they are in scale to the other superheroe figures. The Hot Toys Spideys are too big IMO. Maybe Wendy will want the Black-Spidey for the headsculpt. Peace, Jay

@HotChixCoolToyReview Hot Toys figures are a little bigger, but they're also more overall true to scale size.to each his own, but Hot Toys Black Spidey looks like it blows Medicoms way out the water. I do like the Guardian Pred, he also has a unique looking bio mask. $100 for your Spidey set, that's a great deal i must admit, you can't beat that. You have to admit that the Peter Parker headaculpt and Sandman base is pretty damn sick though. With so many figures, you probally have to be picky.

@delfra70 Wendy may be interested in the Spidey for the headsculpt, but for me nah. I'm not into the character and especially not the films. I'm into the Horror/Sci-fi stuff. Everything else is dependent on whether I think it will retain or increase in value. Superheroes are pretty much last in line for me with the exception of Reeve and Keaton. I only own the newer TDK stuff because it is so well made, I really have no sentimental value for it. The Ironman stuff is really cool though. Peace, J.

@delfra70 No we don't have the Godfather. We almost aquired him in a trade, but it didn't work out for us. We have a limit as to what we'll pay or trade for certain pieces and we weren't prepared to give up what the other party wanted. Not that they we're being unreasonable or anything, we just don't ever get rid of what we pick up, unless it's a double. We are truly collector's, and we can't just flip our figures to get the latest ones we wan't. We either can afford it or we'll pass. Peace, Jay

I told myself i would spend $350-$450 tops for The Godfather, i got it for $405+$25 shipping for $430 total, that was within the range i was willing to pay. I got Kaneda's 1/6 scale bike for $450 total, the cowling and decal set will complete it. I think i got a pretty good deal on both pieces. Looking forward to your 2011 awards show,

@delfra70 Yeah, that's about the going rate for the GF I guess. We've just never spent that much on a figure, and other pieces are currently much more important to us as well. I'd still really like to get him though. We paid $545 for the Kaneda and Bike combo shipped. It's my favorite set ever, until Keaton and the Batmobile arrive. We have the Tumbler and the TDK Batman figures, and while they're exceptional pieces, they just don't have any nostalgic value to us. Peace, Jay and Wendy :)

@HotChixCoolToyReview Well actually The Godfather's average on Ebay is close to $600 and $1100 on amazon. If you can find a good deal on Godfather go after it, he's too iconic of a figure not to have if you can, he'll be worth even more in the future, i guarantee it. I agree with you on Kaneda's Bike, what a masterpiece. I also think the '89 Batmobile might very well top it, be prepared to spend more than you ever have on a 1/6 scale piece, because you'll have to. I will as well when i get it.

@delfra70 Hi! It shouldn't be too long now until I get my Classic Predator; maybe Wednesday or Thursday. I agree with you about it being a great figure. I'll admit that at first I thought it was odd how Hot Toys glued the mandibles onto the mask. Now I think it's great as the mask is held on so much better. You get a couple of pairs of extra mandibles with it anyway.

@KooldaKat Hello, yeah you're right about the Claasic Pred mask. I think it was a great move by Hot Toys to put Mandibles inside the mask. I'm still yet to put the mask on or pull the tab on the hallogram light up feature, i will soon. I'm glad you're Predator will be in soon. I got a King Leonidas off ebay this weekend, it should be in within a week, can't wait for that. Next up, '89 Batman. Assuming the '89 Batmobile won't be out for a while, i might preorder the Tumbler.

Yeah, i unfortunantly had to cancel the Mark 5 & Cap, but i will get them both soon. It's good Enterbay has their licensed pieces as well, Hot Toys has so much anyway, and counting. @KooldaKat Yes, all the Preds are ugly indeed, but they're beautifully designed, sculpted and detailed. I got King leonidas in yesterday, and let me tell you, this is a beast. he's solid and heavier than other Hot Toys obviously due to the full rubber body. Hot Toys perfectly designed this figure, with no elbow and knee joints showing. I think i got a really good deal on him. MJ Beat It & DX Jack are great figures to have, that's for sure. If you can, get DX Bruce Lee, there's good deals on him.

@KooldaKat Yeah, that's a good point you have. I'm hoping to get these 5 figures within the next 2-3 months if i can. Leonidas is a great piece indeed, i've always loved the Gladiator/Spartan look, i'm a 300 fan, and it's a superb piece, those are the main reasons i got it. It looks like you and i are pacing ourselves trying to make it back to the road of 1/6 scale recovery, haha. If you get the chance, check out "xenom0rph1's" review on IM Unleashed, it's an absolute beast and a beautiful piece

@KooldaKat I think you can go to Sideshow, just try their website, they usually give you 2-4 months of flexpay, it depends on the item and price. Are you also aware of One Sixth Bruce in your country, form what i hear they have a layaway plan, i'm not sure how much time they give you to pay, but they have one as well. Yeah, i'm happy about my AVP figure i'll be getting, soon i'll tell you more about it, you have a great weekend as well.

@delfra70 Cool! Congrats on your Batman DX! He comes with two heads, doesn't he? You can really see that he's Michael Keaton, even though he's wearing a mask! Hot Toys have really did well with this figure. The only complaints I've read about him on the Facebook page was the fact he has a yellowy belt, not a gold one. They included the mandibles to keep it proportioned. If they didnt we would be complaining that the mask was too big again, if they kept the sculpt the same on the bios without them it would also stretch and fall off. The gauntlet had to be like that to house the light feature, no room for it otherwise, i like it and was a must for me with this fig. Cool review!

@Roscoe0583 I am not sure that they needed to do that to keep it proportioned. Maybe to make the first sculpt but still not clear why they are glued into the final product. We were happy with the bio masks on the older predators. I understand that they needed the room for the hologram effect but we weren't happy to lose an arm for it. @derby1980toysfigure There are tons of people who wanted to use the bio for their P1 figure which won't work now. We are always going to point out the good and the bad and will be more prone to nitpick the pricier the figure. This figure cost a bit more than the P1 and we were dissapointed with a few things. We bought the figure and want to help others to make an informed decision about whether to buy it or not. We don't think that is pointless. Thanks for watching and commenting. -Wendy

I sold my P1 to get this and Jack Sparrow and dont regret it one bit. This figure does a much better job of being the P1 in my honest opinion. If you own this figure, I really see no point in owning the P1 really. Sure, P1 is still a great figure and comes with a lot of nice things and has great articulation, but when you just compare the two side by side, this new one blows it away and thats what I care about most.
I am glad that HTs made the bio the way it is too. Makes perfect sense to me.
