lol originally the kunai was not a knife, but something more akin to a wrecking bar. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Normally only the tip would have been sharpened. :)) just saying

Kunai are not knives! It would be much better to call them shovels. Their original use was not cutting, in fact they were rarely sharpened except for the tip. They were used for digging and chipping instead.

Hey people, here is a tip for improving your kunai knife. Once you are done making it and before you make the ring on the back, cover the blade with black electrical tape. Then cover the handle with silver, and the ring with black again. It gives it an awesome appearance. I suggest you only do it when you have making this completely down though. It does require a large amount of electrical tape.
