@Jay1967 take a look at our video comparison we did with the two cameras. I think the V.I.O. was a little off due to a technical problem. We will try again when we get in another demo unit. Overall I think the Contour + has a very sharp image. The V.I.O seems to have a richer image. I'll compare the two again very soon and see what what results we end up with.

I like the Vio POV HD camera sharp wide angle lens. It seems a bit sharper around the edges than the other helmet cameras out there. Or maybe it's just me.
@Itswerking In my opinion it's hard to say when your comparing to other cams. In general the image and depth is without a doubt a top contender. Starting to get very stoked about this camera.
That's amazing performance in those conditions. Depending on the settings you choose, does the recorded lens angle change? in some of the shots it looks a bit narrower.
@PointOfViewCameras I thought it may have been down to the fact that it wasn't quite lined up properly, but you never know.
That is the only downside with the ContourHD 1080p and the GPS version. The 1080p mode has a narrower lens angle and looks zoomed in. I much prefer 960p to get the taller image and the wider angle.
@gaz545 yeah, i had a real problem mounting the first day.. had some great shots but only ended up catching there knees.. "groan" my mistake in mounting while in the car.
The second day i mounted the cam on the side of my helmet. and had much better results.
How does the overall image quality compare with the new Contour+ ?

Actually V.I.O. has been around alot longer than the rest of these companies (10 or so ).

@gaz545 No, no change but I did shoot it in a span of two days one day was 720 at 60fps the other was 1080 at 30fps compressed to 720.
The camera is in it's first run too, so it's only going to get more dialled in.
