The Beatles may have beaten Elvis because those countries they beat him in didn't have established charts until the mid 1960s but Elvis still managed to beat them overall. And if you couldn't locate the "so called" complete Beatles statistics what makes you think YOU could locate the ones for Elvis. I did but I in put alot of hard work finding my statistics.

@donn409 interseting theory but when the count is 24 to 4 the 50's #1's of Elvis won't make up the gap. the ones for Elvis I see are close to the ones for the Beatles I assume they were the only charts available from the 50's and 60's. many charts started in the 70's 80's even 90's and 00's like India.

Listen folks, there is no reason for all of this. Yes Elvis was the first to do everything. His voice was a true gift and as an entertainer he was second to none. He was also human and had a bad year or so health wise at the end. But his voice never failed him. The Beatles were and are true legends in their own right. Brilliant songwriters and artists. Paul and Ringo are still making great records, sorry CD's! lol Theres no denying Elvis was a true original and one of a kind. They are both great

There isn't anything to fight over actually! Beatles fans LOVE the Beatles period and some like Elvis. Elvis fans LOVE Elvis and some like the Beatles. I love them both! I really dig Ringo and his All Star Band. Paul has always been a great musician and artist. Elvis was a great artist as well. Arranged most of his music and was co-writer on If I Can Dream and a couple others. But he just didn't write his material. That doesn't mean he wasn't an artist. This arguing is ridiculous to me.
