WOW! winamp has one of the very best music visualization programs then! windows media player does boring patterns with washed out colors. cowon has a very colorful visualization program that can be exciting or boring but the patterns & colors in this demo were almost ALL good except the boring "sun blob" at the beginning & the white oscilloscope line at the end. other than that, the visualizations were amazing.

eh... it would be impractical to buy an xbox JUST for music visualizations. i don't do games, don't have any bluray movies and already have a DVD changer.
really, i don't even need music visualization software anymore as i've found $7 battery powered xmas lights that will do awesome random patterns behind white plastic with really saturated colors.
that's way more cost effective than figuring out how to make PC monitors playing edited video mobile.
